  1. Yeah the key number is stamped on the drivers side door lock. I'd use that as a last resort if i can't find it anywhere else....
  2. So you don't have the right key for the boot ay? Maybe the locksmith could try and pick it open or something.
  3. Did you get it? Did you try the boot release button on your remote while your pushing on the boot lid like Al said? I agree with Al about pressure on the latching mechanism. Maybe if you dress up an act just like the Fonz and just give the boot a hit it'll open..... hahahah sorry, jokes man edit: spelling
  4. Is your key worn? are the cuts all rounded? Its probably your key being worn out so much it doesn't work very well anymore. Check the key in your other locks aswell. It'll probably work but still be a bit clicky to turn. All in all, take it to a locksmith and show him and he'll tell ya what needs to be done straight off the bat. See if you can get your key number for the car aswell. Consists of a letter and four numbers. R33's will have an X for the letter. eg X1234. If you have an original (genuine) key, it should have this number stamped on it.

  6. Has anyone got opinions on microdot security? apparently they spray it all over the chassis and engine bay or whatever.
  7. Yeah I think angles are the go. There's quite a few high gutters and driveways that a commonly come across, so I'll just have to be careful I guess.
  8. Hey guys, has anyone else's exhaust hang down pretty low? My cars still the stock height, and after i fitted the exhaust, it is officially the lowest part of the car. the centre muffler is the lowest part and it sits roughly 100mm off the ground. I've managed to scrape it a couple of times already in the past few weeks. I swear i saw a thread on this ages ago but i can't find it again.
  9. Yeah you can buy shift lights without the tacho.
  10. Get yourself an oil catch can, to stop the oil from coating your intercooler. Mine was running standard boost, and when I swapped the intercooler, my stocko had a coating of oil inside it aswell. At the moment your intercooler is the catch can and it decreases its performance..
  11. do they want your car to be a 4wd or what?
  12. According to the lastest HPI mag it does.
  13. The catalytic converter is roughly just under the passenger seat. Poke your head under the car and have a look. Cat back - Exhaust system from the cat too and including the rear muffler (doesn't include the cat). Turbo Back - Exhaust system from the turbo to and including the rear muffler. Consists of Dump/front Pipe, HiFlow Cat, cat back.
  14. Yeah I just got the digital meter kit. The full tech edge kit had a recorder and wideband sensor and cables and stuff to hook up. I remember Sydneykid did a thread on the full Tech Edge kit from scratch to finish.
  15. Yeah NA engines need back pressure. They don't stick 2 1/2 inch systems on V8's for nothing.
  16. On ramps. Should be able to see the ramps in the photos. I didn't have any axle stands. I just backed it up on the ramps to fit the cat back, then drove it forwards onto the ramps to fit the dump pipe.
  17. na mate, not droney at all. it does have the low down hum.
  18. Thanks for posting that. The phone recorder doesn't do it much justice. It is lumpy, but the phone doesn't pick up the really low frequency, so it does have a hum to it aswell.
  19. Cat back photos posted.
  20. You haven't been talking to someone that drives a naturally aspirated car have you? I once said to someone i was going to change my exhaust and he goes "no can't put an exhaust that big on your car, you've only got a little motor and you'll lose your backpressure". Obviously he doesn't know much about turbos. Whoever said that to you is uneducated in turbo performance. If you want power, do your dump pipe and cat too.
  21. http://justjap.com/parts_nexhaust.htm the one i got says "xforce mild steel, 3.5 inch turbo back, suit r33 skyline gtst" hahahaha, yeah the exhaust arrived on monday. We spent tuesday night putting it on. Cheap fuel! well yeah it is only premium hahaha Nah it didn't ping at all, mind you when we took it for a drive it was pretty cool that night. And na its not as quiet as yours either, but it not any louder than when i just had the muffler on there. And its got that whistle now too, it sounds awesome
  22. No pics of the cat back yet. I'll have back it up onto the ramps again and take a photo. The install was easy as. Its good to have someone else to give you a hand though, makes the job twice as easy. X-force couldn't of made the system any better, it just bolted straight up, no modifying. The hardest part was getting the bolts out off the stock dump pipe and getting them back in with the new dump. A couple of them were in very hard to reach places. The only thing I had to modifiy was the temp sensor hole in the cat, it was slightly to small, just drilled it out a bit bigger. Yeah my phones got a recorder, its not crash hot though, but it will do. I'll send ya a pm when i got it.
  23. what he said ^^^^^^^^^^ They really are that good.
  24. na haven't got a video or sound recording. I don't know how i'm going to record it, I don't quite have anything that'll do it. I'll see if i can anyway later on.
