no exotics here....or anything expensive for that matter. Partly laziness. When I clean it i put a lot of effort into it, then I like it when its clean. Then it gets dirty within the week then I hate it again and neglect it for another month.
-
I like driving mine too, enjoy going through corners etc.....just no love
-
Damn, that's a bit early in the ownership. You didn't even get the chance to love it haha
-
yeah I hate it when something goes wrong with it....which is not much. But when it does it gets fixed asap.
-
Lol you've got to convince yourself to think that so you can drive it. I had to

Who doesn't love their car? I've owned it for 3 years now. It's a daily and gets treated like a daily too. It gets serviced and all the maintenance attention it needs, but I don't really feel compelled to keep it clean. I don't seem to care about it anymore. I've put money into it and made it go a bit quicker and handle a bit better and stop a bit better. I enjoy the way it drives and have put only a couple of visual mods to make it bearable in my eye. The S1 R33's are a bit on the ugly side, and I've thought that since day 1. It's reliable, it goes relatively well but doesn't break any fastest car in town records and don't really want it to. I feel spending anymore money on the car is futile. Heck I even dropped my comprehensive insurance for third party fire and theft. It get's washed like once every 6 - 8 weeks. The mods that were put on were put on with a 'she'll be right' attitude. I know it's a good car, but that's all it is to me now. Share your hate for your car...

Holts Tyre Weld
RBwhatever replied to RBwhatever's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
crud, I took my spare out to fit my junk in the tyre well. And just chucked this can in to act as a just in case. I figured it won't help for major tyre damage. But I'd spew if I had a leak and squirted this stuff into my $350 tyres only to find out it renders it useless afterwards. -

Do I Really Need To Upgrade My Cooler?
RBwhatever replied to 3LGODZILA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I got a S1 and the reo bar seems to be a lot bigger design than the S2. Chopped the whole middle section out... -

What did you do with your reo bar? ^^^ Did you mod it and refit? or just get rid of it.... -
Holts Tyre Weld
RBwhatever replied to RBwhatever's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
that's comforting to know.... I bought a tin but haven't had to use it, was just wondering what the deal was. -
Has anyone one had experience in using Tyre Weld before? I hear it wrecks your tyre after it's got you out of trouble.....?

If you drive your car properly there is no need to cool your car down at idle at all. It is much more beneficial to cool your car down while the car is moving. So no not necessary at all.

If your planning on doing a lot of traveling to other cities, a JR rail pass is a must and will save you a stack on tickets. Otherwise if your sticking to tokyo it won't be worth it IMO. Trains in Tokyo are really easy to get around in. In fact it is even easier than Brisbane. You will have english translations on most signs at the train stations. Osaka didn't have as much as tokyo but it still wasn't too bad. Learn your basic japanese if you haven't already. Just your norm words to get you by like thank you, excuse me, yes, no, Good morning/afternoon/evening etc etc. A jap phrase book will help a lot if you want to delve a little more into their language and make life a little easier if you need to find something. And when you pronounce something, try and pronounce it in their accent and tang, as an occa aussie version of their word may be a little hard for them to understand. We used hostelworld and travelerspoint to find relatively cheap accommodation. Paid on average $50-$80max per night per person at the time of exchange rate. Also, you may find your credit and keycards will not work in every ATM over there. It will however work in a post office ATM or JP Bank ATM. Some 7elevens also will have an ATM that works. Use cash for most of your purchases, you won't get by just using your foreign card. You will be able to use MasterCard or Visa or Plus or Cirrus when paying for accommodation at some places though.

Good tutorial Aberax A couple of tips for ya, Put the key in if your scared the wafers will fall out. Putting the key into the barrel will hold them in. Even better idea is to swap the wafers out into the new barrel as this will give you a fresh keyway. Just be careful not to lose the wafer springs. Don't grease the barrel, wet lubricants attract dust and it stays in there. Use a dry lubricant like graphite.

past 2 years actually.....

Thanks for the update I just jumped back into the F1 scene today for once after missing the past year mostly

Good on Jensen and Rubens though. Button deserves to win after all his time in F1. I can't believe Brawn GP won on its debut. And I can't believe Barrichello switched to Brawn GP after all his time with Ferrari. It's a pretty risky career move for both jensen and rubens to switch from teams that have years of experience in F1 to a fresh team that has never competed before. Maybe it's the best career move yet for both. We'll see what Brawn GP has for us for the rest of the season. Makes me wonder how Ferrari will fare this year with new competition....

that is just unbelievable..........

You'd need to make one up to fit over the original badge, so thy don't notice it.......till one day when good ol johnno is washing his car.....Fail

I don't wanna sound like a jerk towards you or anything, but you did do a search before you created this thread yes? For your power you'd be fine with an airbox no worries. I have a pod, only because my cooler kit didn't accommodate for the air box, and it was easier swapping to a pod rather than butchering a perfectly fine item(the snorkel I mean). I have since boxed off the pod and routed a CAI and having the said annoying sucking noise which doesn't really bother me. And if you feel a power difference between the 2, please report back with, "my car makes 11ty more bummerwatts" or "11ty less bum watts" because you won't feel a difference. And if you think you do......it's all in your head. If your box fits back in ok, put it back in if it floats your floaty. And it's one less thing for a copper to whinge about. Win win

Lol @ the pictures. I've just switched Mint 6 back to Ubuntu 8.10. Mint 6 was based off Ubuntu and seemed to be pretty much the same from what I can see so far. Ubuntu has more following and support so I'll just play with this one and so on. Speakers still won't work out of the laptop though, still only through the headphone jack, which is ok since I run my sound through a stereo anyway....

hahahahaha thank you sir, got a good laugh from that one
