my firewall seems to be off by default.....

Does anyone use some kind of anti-virus and firewall for their linux OS? If so, what do you use?

I've now loaded Linux Mint 6 onto my laptop and am now dual booting with XP. I still have programs i use on XP, and I find myself choosing the XP option more often then letting it boot into Mint. I just need to play with mint a bit more and personalise it so I'm comfortable with everything. Also to whoever said about gnome vs KDE. I tried Mandriva 2009 KDE and I can't get my head around it, so switched back to gnome Mint 6. Mint 6 for me has been the most complete out of the box for me anyway. The only thing that sucks atm is I can't get the sound to work out of the laptop speakers, sound only works out of the headphone jack. I still haven't figured out why....??

hahaha you and many others. You can look at it in a good and a bad way. The good way is that because your car didn't have the transponder in the key head, it was cheap and easy to recover some keys. But the bad way is, your car security sucks and it really is that easy to steal. Believe me, it was my job If your car did require a transponder key to start, you would've been looking down the barrel of a minimum $350-500 for a set made.

Nexens are just bad tyres all around. Death traps in the dry, certain death in the wet. But hey, if the guy wants craphouse rock tyres that will last a nuclear holocaust for daily driving leave him be. So in answer to your question yes they are cheap for that size. Buy cheap get cheap.

Are you going to stick with your factory injectors?

I had a mate with the same problem as you. Bought a hard intake pipe for his S15 to replace the factory rubber item. Was advertised to be a direct replacement. Turned out to be a direct replacement item.......once you replace other items. A few hoses and lines would need to be replaced with longer ones, and the actual pod position wasn't fantastic either. Same deal, stubborn dealer didn't want to take it back, insisted it was a factory replacement regardless of the photo's proving him wrong. In the end he took it back and refunded. Took some doing though.

Well mine can hold 2nd gear in the wet in a straight line. Won't hold first though.

It will be interesting to see what you think of them. Just remember when you compare them that your going from a worn set to a new set so it might feel better off the bat (bar the new tyre squishy feeling). So let them break in for a bit then you'll see their true light. Let us know how you go

I've got mine mounted to the side also. It's better than having half the cooler blocked off. Although I think there are legal issues involved if the plate is not clearly viewed from some angles.

I found it strange my tyres let go on a good downpouring of rain. The road was the rough bituman, and going around a moderately long U bend on a range road. Slipped out quite easily, and I wasn't exactly going fast. Probably a faster than i should've been going, but not fast in my books.

I just replaced my coils with JJR ones. Fixed my missfire problems easily. 400 bucks.

If you have taken the pressure feed for your gauge from the plenum you don't see all the mumbo jumbo that happens in the piping before the TB and your gauge will also read vacuum. If you've taken the pressure feed from before the throttle body, you will see all the little boost ups and downs and little spikes etc. I wouldn't worry about it, it is normal.
