  2. Hey Russman Have you sorted a sump? regardless what you buy you will need gates not just baffles and extra capacity. My tuner builds them. modified pick-up gated and winged. they arent cheap but non of them will be. i think $1200 bolt up no mods. you also have an rb25 gearbox dont you russ? thats another 15 odd kg over a 20 box. im guessing you have an unstripped loom? do you have factory intrusion bars in the doors? its been proven time and time again that stripping door frames has little advantage. viva garage used to do very cheap fiberglass doors that cost around 400-500$ most of the weight in standard doors is in the hinge and latch areas. not easy to remove them. if you take a look under the back of the car and the subframe there is a lot of small weight to be gained. We were able to get bens targa car to 1230 in rally trim without any expensive light weight parts. if you want to cut weight you have to look at everything as weight. and work out if you need it or not and how you can make it lighter. every little bit counts. and remember removing weight is free power and free brakes.   3. they are noticeably wider. i would say 40-50mm each side wider. some colours show off the lines of the body moreso and do make some gtst look wide. easy way to tell is wheel size and offset in regards to fitting within the guard.

  5. thanks mate. im not quite finished with the note just yet haha. 7 days till round 2 of the tas drift series. made one or 2 small alterations to the car. i am also trying Kuhmo tyres for the first time. i have been running federals for years but thought id try somthing new. Ive also had the car sign written with the 3 sponsors ive been lucky enough to pick up and also a bit of a graphic (of sorts) to help it look the part. will upload some pics once its finished, the guys at Freestyle FX have done an excellent job of the Vynal. they also done it all in a day and stayed back late on a Friday so i could pick the car up. top job. pending the result from round 2 the car may be getting a mid season birthday.

I recently got ahold of a set of jap spec Ohlins. these are one of the models that can be re-valved. they came out of a drift car and have heavy springs in them currently. the shocks have one way adjustment and are height adjustable like most shocks on the market today and also have helper springs which helps when changing spring rates ect. they are a very good quality shock and have grate potential if you are looking for a quality shock over the cheap chianese options. i got them to turn into a circuit shock but its not going to happen any time soon. im after 600ono which is about half what you will pay for new chianese shocks that can not be rebuilt or revalved. can upload pics on request or mms if easier.   7. Grate write up from the event. I have been hanging to read all about it as I refuse to use Facebook and people only seem to talk on there, otherwise you wait months to watch it on DVD. Do you think that not running any form of bov has caused the turbo failure? I know most people diss like them but a $50 part may prolong a $1500 part. I fitted one after my Garrett shit itself. One thing that worries me doing a mainland trip is having something go wrong with the car. You can't carry a whole cars with of spares. Keep it the good work.

  10. was you able to "stretch" the s15 sub frame bushes to fit it in? and did you have to modify anything? ive been reading that s14/15 subframes into s13s need either the floor cut or a section of the subframe cut to fit?
  11. this is by far the best way. regardless of having a cooler or not it will spit out what it doent want then settle. my drift car with modified rack only runs 2/3 full and the same with bens targa car.

No probs. i also kept missing you as i was talking and wandering around. it wasnt till i dragged it out sunday morning that i noticed it was a bit dirty but it will clean up fine. your other half was very helpfull thoe. thanks. sorry i didnt chat much. i dont tend to talk much to anyone at comps. its usualy a different story at prac days. good to hear your sorting out another shell to. pleased you didnt have to go down the s chassie route.

  16. would be more than happy to help change some things at a practice day. comps dont allow enough time. that last turn has claimed a few cars drifting and circuit. lucky it was mud and not marbles.
  17. have you changed anything with your alignemt? it still seems to understeer. althoe i noticed a lot of cars struggling yesterday especialy on turn 1.
  18. i did some drifting saturday. went ok but im a bit rusty.
  19. more motorsport. Round one of the tas drift series done and dusted. not the best finish but am happy i never got bogged. few small improvments to be made before next round 4 weeks away. here is one clip for outside. incar to come.

  22. just read the members rides and this jogged my memory. i have 2 bottles of redline leightweigh shockproof gearbox oil. the blue stuff. they arent quite 1l each but there is enough to do an rb20 box. i had a shed clean up and new i had one but found another and have no need for them as i am running different oil. i think these sell for around $60 a bottle. selling both for $50. just want rid of them. thanks damo
