ive had experiance with terraphones and PMD enduros with both instalation and use as a Navigator. half of it is the quality of install. Most of the pro rally teams run there intercoms and sometimes incar cameras off separate batteries isolated from the car charging system. the car charging system is where the wering noise comes from and this leads to headaches in my case. ringing ears after a days rallying ect. the PMD states that is has noise canceling built in and whist it is far better than the terraphone (which from my experience has non) its not 100% so. i have naved for a bloke who has a PMD. he has a PMD mic and ear pieces and his usual nav has a stilo which needs an adapter to plug into the PMD system. i filled in for a rally with my PMD mic ect and the driver couldnt believe the improvement of static type interference. Point there is to stick with the same brand through out. hope that helps.

A Boy's Love For His Rb20
DJRIFT replied to Roy's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
if you dont know where the leak is coming from check the rubber boot on top of the gear box where the shifter goes in. they are common to split. and they only need a small split then they spew oil out with a few revs and a bit of a hill. new boots are around $20 from nissan. -
Piarc - Phillip Island 12Th And 13Th
DJRIFT replied to boxheadmr's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
I was on PI this weekend. went over for a family gathering. id read about roy going soon to PI but didnt realise it was this weekend. we went and had a go on the goKarts then poped into the pits for a look but no sign of roy or snowman. plenty of tuff looking cars. put the local club days we have to shame. very keen to bring my car over for one of these but didnt realise it was open to "club level" cars. also seen about a billion evos driving through Cowes and EMSPEC on the road. oh also seen the 2 r33 GTRs in the pic above leaving with SAU stickers on them. -
"Pull the E brake and power over" nice hill climb russ.

DJRIFT replied to DJRIFT's topic in Motorsport Builds
Yea thanks ben for uploading it. last run was my quickest by half a sec but i think the second last one was the nicest run. thats on street tyres too. bit of an oversight. i had some better tyres but didnt have the time to change them during runs. very pleased to get a good run out of this thing. E85 makes the world of difference to the mid range, it feels far more responsive than earlier this year. im pretty rusty in the driving department but i was only there to have a bit of fun. and like ben mentioned having no sway bar tends to make it dance under brakes. Got the final round of the tassie drift series to go to this coming saturday so will see what it can do there. -
what times is the supra running now?

bit of an update. got injectors in after some dicking around. modified stock fuel rail to make it twin entry centre out using stock fuel pressure reg. put it on the dyno and this is the result. before every one makes their judgments there is a few things to add. fuel pump ran out of legs so couldnt get enough fuel in the top end. single external bosch. car was ran in 5th as it wheel spun in 4th so the number is marginal but it shows the difference e85 can make on an engine. its the same turbo back to back with only the injectors changed and a turbo beanie. it makes more power, cooler engine, quicker, and with less boost. upgraded fuel system is the next mod but im not looking to do that any time soon. few pics to finish it off. sticker bombed center console and changed switch gear put mesh in intake to make it appear to have a headlight from a distance. remounted my carbon pannel to cover wiring. -
