  1. nearly 2 months since i updated this. i went off and done targa with Sav Man and that resulted in my daily 4 door being a donor car so post targa we had to fix that up. the result was just a tidy up with about 20 cans of degreser used in the engine bay and a few new parts thrown at it. like split dump pipe, new ac compressor and condenser fan, strut brace, clutch pressure plate. really just shit we had laying around. i also scored some Panasport rims, gts (or N1) headlights, type M areo front bar and shaved boot lid. ill throw some pics up of it once its looking clean and tidy again. i had some time to ponder turbo options but to see what elce needs to be fixed on it ive borrowed a mates gt3071r. ive had a few goes at fitting it as it wasnt a straight swap as the core of the turbo is stuck in a different position to mine which has ment a new oil drain had to be made and slight modifications to the manifold. id just about given up on the car over the past few weeks but i had a look through here tonight and got my thinking cap on and came to some practical solutions. this car will be going into storage untill late 2011 after this event so i wanted to get one under its belt before parking it. i am doing a club day at my local track where i hope to brake my PB. the car is getting dynoed on thursday so between now and the 4th june i should get up some more shots of some revised mods. a future outlook would be one of the new garrett GTX series turbos and maybe some half bread fuel. not e85 just yet.
  2. Not sure if this will help. im not totaly sure what you diff shop means but at a guess i think thay are taking about GTR diffs as they are mechanical from the factory and can be rebuilt using nismo parts. otherwise if you get a nismo diff to suit a r33 gtst it comes as a complete centre. you just need to change over the crown wheel to the new center and pop it in. simple as that. i belive a properly rebuilt Vlsd would work ok for a while. most people just shim them to be locked. dont get a cheap mechanical diff if its a street car as they tend to be very noisy.
  3. CST rims are sex. wish i never sold mine.
  4. i have rb25 vct head. has cams but no cam retainers. any good? PM me as i dont check in here.
  5. what my mums echo has coilovers. fully sic bro.
  6. not a fan of the flairs on the front. are you able to get wider fiberglass s14-180 front guards? and are you going to go back to 18s on the back or cant you get that style of rims in size for realistic $$$$
  7. thats an origin wing? My mates drift car has one the same. we put it on a circuit car on the weekend and it made a huge difference. we data loged the canges and he was able to accelerate much faster out of corners.
  8. regardless of gauges or no gauges we have simply offered up some free info that has taken time and money to get. we used 2 different examples ect ect. take from it what you like. we will take that its simply better not to have to change engines the night before or during events (which is when we have had to do the last 2) and if your half capible a simple mod to the sump will stop that. ironicly - My old drift team mate spun a bearing the first time he drifted after fitting an oil cooler. i blame the cooler 100%
  9. well the oil pressure did only drop under extreem braking so you wont have this problem Woo.
  10. Pretty sure i can repair these if you want to send it up.
  11. next year will be twice the height!
  12. Quite possibly a poor choice of words, But the Point is i feel its not my place to tell everyone what you have done in detail, rather put it out there that you have put the time and money into developing it.
  13. Yep, they were bad but you dont get anywhere in life without putting yourself out. you should run at the up coming SAU day. or a clubday. heaps cheaper and plenty of setup time.
  14. yea the jap spec bluebird with the z18 turbo came with IRS back in it to. maybe a cheaper alternative to building a dr bar the fact they are ugly as sin. haha. one of the blokes down here built one as a gravel rally car. i think they won there class 2 years running. timmy has spoken to the bloke that has it in length as im not sure im alowed to make this public knolage.... but he used to have one..... and it was modified..... haha.
  15. Na see the problem is that graph refers to the rb25de that came in the late model r32s. the 25de from the r32 is based on a rb20 and has very little similar to the r33 rb25de. so at a guess id say the ratios will be revised. also the r32 range stuck with a common diff gearing for auto and manual models where as the r33 range changes between auto/manual/turbo/non turbo. but thaks for the listing regardles as we have a rb20de box and thats got the ratio that may suit us better. so i no longer need to be first in line.
  16. yep it just makes it look like you have a blown globe. if you want to make it flash fast just replace either the front or back 21w globe with a 5w. it wont be as bright oviously thoe.
  17. just personal jokes really. im not up for blowing my own trumpet especially when i didnt have any imediate input. some of the other blokes were doing the key bits. the budget aspect is fairly debatable. good drivers are rarer than deep pockets in my experiance. this is why i profer to drift, plenty of examples of the underdog winning in a budget car over the team and the $$$$. i dont have the tallent or money to go fast at a track but theres a slight chance oneday ill pull off a good skid. some people are happy to share knowlage without $$$ changing hands. And maybe people are actualy keen to see you race. Im not sure if it was ment to be a secret or not but most people i know have been wondering which round you will start at. the more the merrier.
  18. you find me some specs on the ratios. if there good it will be sold.
  19. Rant! Rant!
  20. this has just surfaced for some one looking for a quick cheap GTS http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/364379-r32-gts-4/ its quick and have heaps more potential.
  21. to much cage for Time attack. Jap bendy cages are where its at..... thats a Joke by the way. good stuff sofar.
  22. Finns body works near coats paintens. they do top quality work and they are a small company so they are usualy happy to do the small jobs. all of my mates cars have been repaired there with no faults. and the blokes that work there like cars. that is always a +
  23. can you please provide me with some more info? i cant find anything on the ratios and we are looking for ratio options in the targa car. thanks
  24. yep Nunns Qualifying time was off chops. its a full second off his PB. people usualy say when your pushing that deep in times you only get gains of thenths of seconds. but then for brad and burns to come out and smash that. Wow. i think that maybe the egos were dented beeing smashed by a car worth a fith of there cars. Brads car does sound like sex with the sequentual box. did anyone notice Petes wing. i heard there was a fair amount of testing done on it saturday.
  25. i say run a group buy on the ones designed a few weeks ago. that was a billion times better.
