  1. i have a pair of r32 projector headlights for sale. good condition. can post up pics if needed. chasing $150 thanks damo
  2. funnily enough Brad has actualy developed his suspension geometry further than most. but unfortunaly unless you want to pay for the info he keeps to himself. a lot of hours of r&d have been done.
  3. there wouldnt be many cars in targa that will do 5 days racing on a $800 engine. More super GTS-t i say. and a national gtst championship. and sadly we are loosing one of our gtst to the mainland. but my daily with now a 3x targa engine is back up and running finaly.
  4. thats right a 58.1 or 2 i think. the best part of the car how close to standard it is. and its the best example of the KISS motto (keep it simple stupid) ive heard there is a few mods been done to get a tenth or 2 out of it yet.
  5. i wondered if it was Astra as they are easy to get. not sure how efecient they are thoe.
  6. Pete nun will be there maybe dipping into the 57s in his budget built 32 still retaining a stock un opened rb20. i know this because its my old motor. ill be down for a look
  7. Wow. there is a bullshit amount of time been spent on the body of this thing..... and then just to drift it. haha. i drift myself but i couldnt bare to spend that much time on it. it is a top notch build non the less. Grate job and plenty of different ideas comming together.
  8. what brand of electric PS pump are you running? if you dont mind sharing.
  9. from the corner weighting of mine and others the drivers side is heavier than the passenger side. i would say that the adjustments made to even the front out has offset the rear. unless you have adjustable sway bar links. (rose joint style) than any change in ride height or spring pre-load afects the car somewhere elce. did you do the adjusting Woo
  10. Usualy with any of the gated sumps i know of there is always 4 gates and they are layed in a dimond patern rather than square to the sump. also i cant quite see but the oil fitting for the return from the head has to be on the passenger side of the engine. we have seen recently 2 race engines with fittings on the drivers sides presureising the head and not allowing the oil to return. There would be twice as much force under braking than cornering in this car. if it was a circuit car with stiffer suspension and bigger grippier wheels than the corner Gs mite be grater but definatly not for tarmac. Ben and i both know that this is not a common problem but we have also studdied the data that we have at hand and experiances we have had and have worked out that all the race rb20 we work with suffer from "extreemly low" oil pressure under heavy braking. its somthing that can easily be fixed with a combination of things that in total will be less than 1k. Remember that theres only one reason engines spin bearings. you can chose to risk it and see how long the wrecker motor will go, or add preventitive measures to stop it happening half way through targa or at the end of a championship searies. in the first page of SKs oil in rb's thread he says if your doing any kind of motorsport you should have a winged and baffeled sump.
  11. well i did actualy make that up, but one could be forgiven for thinking that fink drives for andrew. if you have ever watched any of the drifter unleashed or motive dvds. Im sure andrew will be driving. he was on a tv show (blood sweat and gears) driving jet200 in its first build state. did pretty well to if i recal correctly
  12. price? what are these like compared to turbo box.
  13. hey mate finaly got to my wreck. i did manage to find a speeo cable. ive got it at my place in launceston. you can come and collect or i can send it to you. im after $50bux for it. thanks damo
  14. this is one of the cheaper options and this is what they are called. http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=18176&cat=261&page=2
  15. Jake jone a SA drift driver was recently driving a borrowed car at a drift event in New Zealand. some how a fuel line split and it had an in cabin fire. in the time it took to stop the car from 120+ he recived burns to his neck. he had a helment and race suit but no balaclava. i bet he wishes he was wairing one.
  16. i know its a free world but are you for real? nascar has to be one of the most boring motorsports. my point was that the V8s move closer to Nascar rules every year and thats why they are getting worse and worse. im not trying to have a go or start somthing just making sure that my point earlier was taken sarcasticly.
  17. yep thats hell scary. i was talking to a mate about what the saftey backlash of this will be. that said it has happened a few times before. he recconed they would bring in rolling starts. all i had to say to that was More NASCAR
  18. i knew you could get the guards but ive decided you should have put either r32 or34 GTR front on it for somthing different. good stuff all the same
  19. top secret untill tested. the pics from arrowsmith are on my memory car for my broken phone. will have to wait for them.
  20. thought id post up some pics we got before and during targa the day ben killed the engine. This nissan flag poped up at least once every day during the event and was usualy acompanied with a toot of the horn and a bit of drift. Stopped in queenstown. just one of the many stops through out targa checking results. Gotta keep on your game Belt up bitches And almost to the finish line. Pre finish team meet. 5 and a bit days of racing the car pulled up pretty good. Im pretty confident you will see this team about again.
  21. one key thing that anoyed me about the rad cam was the fact that when it shows battery being 2 thirds full its really about to run out. we found that it would turn off at low battery. id go to turn it off at the end of the stage and realise it had turned its self off. id then turn it on and it would show battery 2 thirds full. change the battery and it was good to go. we over come this by running the in car charger and interchanging the battery as soon as it would drop to 2 thirds. other than that it was a pice of cake to use and footage was grate.
  22. ha thats not a bad effort. where is the rant about the dead engine thoe. i want to know who not to buy from.
