  1. just like fire blankets from bunnings or alike? id profer to sell the cam covers at the moment but if it sitts in my shed long enough it ends up pn the car. thanks. im happy with the way it looks at the moment. i have a picture taken from the same place same angle from my first basky day and the car has never matched it looks wise untill now i dont think.
  2. wrong. see we rubbed all the paint off where the stickers were going then rubbed some of the metal back to save a few more grams. this also ensured a seemless join between the sticker and original paint
  3. if you haven got one by the time you land in tassie im sure we can help you out.
  4. ben and i are lucky we still have a week to prep the car. theres heaps to do yet. yay.
  5. im certin i can point you to a workshop (or my shed, jk) that is more than capible of changing springs and not wrecking your setup. after all taking the shocks and springs out wont change any alignment.
  6. i love this aproach to building or hand crafting cars. the modern generation of people like the bolt on option. if that option doesnt work they unbolt int and bolt somthing elce on. i work with a bloke mad keen on old datsun L series motors and the lenghts they go to to make 5kw on a NA motor is extreeme. he has a few very good books on calculating air speeds for building runners and how tapering efects this. and so on. they also have mates that fill in the original ports and re drill ports in the head to make the air going into the engine more efficent. the modern efi turbo engine has made people lazy as heaps of power can be achived cheap and easyily but its going the extra step that no one bothers with. i like picking up the smaller points off people in motorsport that make the bigger difference at the end of the day. good job sofar.
  7. cst hyper zeros but they have been sold.
  8. i thought that weeber got stuffed over by team stratergy just like final round last year. he came in and put hards on. that didnt work so no one elce put them on. he lost all his time from then and had to revert to med/soft and couldnt make the time back up Vettol complained of the tyres going off at a simmilar time to mark and they brought mark in first. if you watch just this part of RBR im sure webber will always pit first and change compounds. this then detemins what vettol gets. somthing to keep an eye on.
  9. they are sav mans sorry. and i dont think he wants to part with them.
  10. im in launi happy to travel. its not far away.
  11. yea i know i was just joking.
  12. baldrick would know the person you are talking about.
  13. yes just 2 but they are still avalible new in australia.
  14. how did you know we had done that
  15. thanks mate i think every one that seen them on the week end aproved. i can say thoe that they are noisy as hell inside the car. somthing i will have to adress once its going again.
  16. sorry forgot size. 17x9.5 +15 offset. tyres currently are fedderal 235 45 17 595ss. i was running a gt35R or close to garett.
  17. you need a set for the GTR. heaps tuff.
  18. the idea was to make the N1 side skirts fit. im pretty sure we all know the difference between GTRs and Gts-ts. im pretty sure i already said there was no N1 pods but you must have read over that. we have found one company that makes N1 style skirts to fit gtst but haven bothered as yet. like i said before if your not into weight loss on a car than you will never get it. its a combination of many small parts that weigh half of f all that makes the difference. serious people will un-tack or cut off every un nessasary bracket and cut the extra length out of every bolt just to save 5kg over the whole car. most people think once they have removed the ac and back seat they have removed every thing they can. the point is weight is free power and free brakes. simple physics.
  19. i love the enki rims on it. i wanted to get some while the dollar was so good but havent yet.
  20. hey all. ive been trying to part with these wheels for ages. they are the ones far right in the line up. they were used on mark becketts car at drift fest if any one noticed them. tuff looking wim with a good size and offset. you wont find anything this size for this price. they have done minimal work. i have fitted one pair of tyres to them and they arent even half worn. after $500 to fund new turbo
  21. i never tried but i think so. very keen to get rid of them.
  22. the point of the car is for minimum weight. if you had seen the effort we have gone to every where elce on the car than .5kg is good weight to us. i totaly understand that most people fob off weight reduction but its one of thoes things that if you are going to do it you need to get really anal about it. no point getting half assed. and to be honest it is very noticable the difference we have found from driving this to all the other skylines we have as a group. also on anther side note. Bens vision was to run the full nismo/N1 aero kit which never had rear pods. what most people think are N1 pods are actualy trust or other pods. the rear pods do nothing for the cars performance or aero so they are un-nessasary. this car was built with only nessasary items installed. also if you look at most modern TA cars the rear area behind the wheels is usualy cut out to help the air excape from behind the wheel. some teams run multiple wings behind them to help smooth the air but we cant do this. the conclusion is, no pods it is.
