  1. I'll take a carbon headlight duct to suit r32 please. Pm me the bank details and when I need to pay.
  2. Good to see something other than targa or time attack in here Good job
  3. i love this pic! i found it going through my phone the other night. pretty merry when it was taken i believe.
  4. my engine bay pic. if you want to catch up on what ive been upto have a look at this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/308918-damos-r32-gts-r-on-going-project-fun-car-history-and-use-full-info/page-17
  5. that doesnt even make sense. but yes last week was a local club day which i worked all week on the car to get it track ready. after the first tune it was found that there was still a serious fueling issue with the car that would see me loose another engine if not fixed. it took a few nights of testing over and over and replacing parts ect to find 3 major faults. first was the lift pump had shit itself. so i fitted one of the new high volume E85 spec walbro intank pumps. i then found i still had an issue. after bypassing the surge tank with is virtually un assessable i got better results but not fixed. then the third item was a brass t pice i had fitted to split the fuel line. all these issues sorted and it was back on the dyno. results were 331rwkw. most power ive had to date. my first timed lap of the day was within a few seconds of my best time for the day which is an improvement for myself as im usually quite rusty and take a few runs to get anywhere near a respectable time. i only got a few sprints in for the day and no records broken but the car was moving in the right direction by the end of the day. here is a few random pics from the past few weeks. hitting a wall does this almost ready to go drifting, excuse the mess! engine bay pics. i hope you like
  6. For sale is my 80mm pivot stepper style tacho it has progressive style shift lights built in. does a calibration sweep upon turn on. external controlled shift shift lights And 80 mechanical boost gauge reads 2 bar and comes with a few meters of hard boost line. they are not a mached pair but would look god together regardless. chasing $200 for the pair $160 for the tacho $60 for the boost gauge or best realistic offer.
  7. I'm please to see you going into grate detail with your mods. And pushing the envelope.
  8. He's sold it
  9. The extra weight is better body regidity and far better suspension
  10. R33 far better car in just about every way bar looks. If you have a tuff looking 33 than that's a win all round. I have a r32 race car and have owned quit a few road going 32 but I wont buy another one. R33 or 34 is the go. You will never get a gtst to put power down the way a gtr does. My tuner runs the fastest track skyline around our area and while that is a gtst and eats all gtrs he has driven Plenty of gtrs and can't believe how fast they accelerate out of corners ect. It's just different and can't be matched.
  11. I'm after a r32 gtr wing. Preferably gun metal in colour but will look at anything. Let me know what you have and how much
  12. These can usualy be repaired. Send me a pm if you want me to fix it for you.
  13. Steel wheels weigh a f ton. I think most drifters run them in 16" as they are 4wd spec and come in good size and offset. I know boost can get them in various styles. One of the guys there got heaps in for Silvia's and r31s. Fairly cheep buy can't rember what the final $ was Or that bloke tyres with nowelsy. He's can get them I have heard.
  14. Quick update got car running last minute as usual. got it going last thursday night. while loading it on the trailer to go to dyno friday morning realised the brakes were stuck on due to incorrect adjustment of my brake pedal after making a booster delete plate. car got dynoed with brakes locked on. f**ked pads, calipers and split brake lines. off to local brake place friday lunch. new lines calipers pads and full system bleed. got to track saturday morning. was pretty sketchy. ended up hitting a concrete wall after a few runs . fixed suspension and continued driving. sucked at batteling and got knocked out of top 16 but after setting into the car mid afternoon i won the extreme entry comp being 15km faster than second place. no positive dyno result due to brake issue. and to add to that the car still has a fuel supply issue that i am working through now ready for another weekends racing. but on a plus note the majority of the panel beating was fixed today so im not sad about it being bent any more. thanks to Grunt life's quick response.
  15. Hanging out for the rest of this story. I think I can remember the car if it made it over. Trojan Motorsport rings a bell
  16. Its a bit sereal? To have been on top of the podium. The feeling was a bit bitter sweet for me unfortunatly as there was a bit of controversy in the final 24 hours. But at the end of the day we fought by the rules and stuck by the rules and if targa as a whole decided not to go by the rules than where does that leave the whole sport. Targa is a very long a torturous event but on average The little old 32 that Ben and damo built in a shed was consistently faster than its rivals per km and whist the field wasn't huge this year we were sitting in the top 10 outright for most of the event. This was further emphasized by setting 3rd outright times for the last 4 stages of the event. Ben pushed to the end which you will see from the woods dale stage where we took a win it or bin it approach and for the first time in 38 stages he scared me twice. From the day 2 fuel pump failure I thought is it even possible to make up 1 minute, then 2 stages later ( cethana ) to lose another 1.5 minutes and end up only 9 sec off the lead going into day 5 was just a huge effort from Ben. As most would know the lead up to this event for us has been less than ideal and after pre event testing the car was only 1/4 sec per km than last year but once into the swing of things we turned that into 1sec per km on last year. Maybe even more. Looking at the car itself this morning it has never looked better. I would happily jump in it and do another 5 days rallying tomorrow. No broken or falling parts and everything still works. Just a few 1000 more stone chips thanks to a massive amount of cold seal road works done since last year. And the motor, Wow what a motor Ben has built 3 years of r&d has lead to a strong torquey high reving beast with all parts and most of the work being hand crafter by Ben or I. And they are cheap haha. Myself as a navigator I have been lucky as this year makes 3 from 3 and thus a gold targa plate. And a podium to top it off. That in itself is harder than most would appreciate and some people go years trying to achieve what we have in only 3 years. Thanks for reading and thanks to everyone's support on here and in person.
  17. Do you have a week off up your sleeve roy? I'm sure we can fit you on our crew.
  18. If your using a r32 radiator a r32 item is the go. I don't believe that a r33 radiator fits properly. And as far as 25 in a 32 most stuff like the fan line up the same. And I have a r32 shroud if you want it.
  19. The spigot bush goes into the end of the crank. Old one out new one in. Bolt flywheel on. Flywheel bolts are 110-120 ft/lbs I have an old input shaft I can lend you to line up te clutch plate as you bolt on the pressure plate. This saves a world of pain. Pressure plate bolts are about 30ft/lbs Don't forget to put the dust plate on behind the flywheel. Box in job done.
  20. The bloke above means bush not bearimg
  21. The wiring changes to run a rb26 power fc on a rb20 engine are a pice of pie. I've done a stack of them and use one in my own car for anyone wanting a cheap tunable ecu.
  22. Engine in tuesday night after a small issue with box and engine alignment. The last 2 box jobs I have done have taught me a lot. I've obviously had lunch on my side the numerous times before. Bens head back on and some minor plumbing done on my engine tonight. If nothing less the engine bay should look show worthy.
  23. Sorry I miss read about the 25det crank. Why the low rev limit. Mark 1 of my 25de revved to 8 and mark 2 revs to 7400 due to fuel supply. With 320rwkw it was happy to bang limi all day it wasn't revs that killed it anyway. And there is bugger all difference in the cams mainly the cam timing but that won't stop it revving
  24. good stuff roy you can be in my crew now. besides i love telling people that my rb25 had far more in common to a rb20 than a 25det. they are a rb20 in evey way bar displacement any reason you put a rb25det crank in yours?
  25. My engine is back together. Should be int the car early next week. My build thread has been moved to so of you want to see some of the latest updates click the link. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/308918-damos-r32-gts-r-on-going-project-fun-car-history-and-use-full-info/page-16#entry6791659
