  1. hey all. After a mix up on a drawn out order on some rims im stuck with a size i didnt order so i need to sell these off cheep to buy the correct size. i have a pair of Lenso D1Rs size: 18" x 10" +22 offset. will fit GTS skylines with rolled guards and stretched tyres and GTRs nicely. Colour: Matte Black with gloss red lip. Condition: Brand New never fitted to a hub. Price $700 plus freight, happy to post at buyer expense. can get pics of actual rims if necessary or just google D1R lenso.
  2. got the car back from the tuner. found some problems that need to be addressed then back on the rollers to see what it will do power wise. all i can say is wow it has a massive initial punch and comes on strong. the throttles are very noticeable. bigger turbo time already. ill be taking it to a club day this weekend to give the car some track time to trial all the bits that have been done over the past few months.
  3. Well i voted. wont say what for but i drift and at the moment theres no rules for any mods. id kinda like some but while its open slather ill take it advantage of it. its funny that 50% of people thus far are saying its ok to brake a rule if its for reliability. but what if that means running a PPG gear set over the stock item just for reliability. you could look at it as performance but at the end of the day its reliability and could mean one team finishes and one doesn't thus making a car more reliable so i dont agree with choice c) if the rules are you run a crappy factor diff that snaps diff mounts frequently than you do it to be LEGAL and win fair and square. early evos suffer this and a bloke i know gets through about half his events and the other half he smashes diffs.
  4. O T but what does Matts supra do around their?
  5. Well within all the shit talk i was offered a drive in a GTS-t last night pending what pans out over then next year. all shit talk but how about 3 GTS-t on the podium? And as Bens said prior. 30K and we will build you a tarmac special. the car i serviced for had at least 3 timing errors and they had to work their balls off to get the time back. That was due to human error each time. but ive got no idea what its usualy like so im only pointing out this years errors.
  6. are you putting solid sub frame bushes in? im guessing yes as you have pushed the old ones out.
  7. wow i thought this was an old thread. its nearly 12 months old and the seat is in my car sorry mate.
  8. Didnt you know the pace notes have a huge tree magnet in them. cars always go in navigator first.
  9. didnt get a chance to call sorry. ive been working on targa cars all night.
  10. will call tonight
  11. they mate that sux big balls. ive driven past the car a lot and to be honest im very surprised that you keep it out the front of your house. ive had a car stolen and i vowed never to buy another untill it could be kept safe in a yard or shed. ill keep a look out for you mate. thanks damo
  12. there is enought tallent in tassy despite what most think to work on these cars. ive heard more horror stories about sending cars interstate that id profer to take my chances with local tuners.
  13. nearly ready to hit the track again
  14. Few new pics of my car
  15. looks like rain so rain plus more power for most plus fewer speed restrictions = good spectating put on a show people.
  16. car not has track wheel alignment. race tyres are sorted and should hit the rollers over the next 2 weeks. depends how much time the tuner i use sits in his office on the interwebs. im pretty happy with the look at the moment so ive taken some pics. if you look closely in the last pic you can see a riverted carbon panel. its a temporary measure to fix some "body imperfections" untill the wide body goes on.
  17. ive got reverse lights and still got the skirts. no dramas if you have got skirts already.
  18. another thing i forgot to add. well 3 points. i had a chat with SK a few years back and he told me then that it was a good idea and resomly easy to put the r33 gtst style front upper arms in. apparently and if you believe most of what you read the 33 arms are more advanced. this has been proven to me but look into it your self. so basically changing your whole front to r33. second point is. if you read through the link in the aus 300zx thread John has a detailed explanation as to why to mount the castor rod pivots lower than the lower control arm pivots. ive also been told this by other in the know people. Bens targa car has adjustable front mounts but it isnt a series of holes. and thirdly. if you have read through the roll centre stuff on NS most of it is irrelevant as they are dealing with Mcpherson strut which is a different kettle of fish. it depends on the ride height as skylines dial more camber in the lower they go. we usualy get around neg 3 with r33 arms stock upper arms and not getto spec low.
  19. hey Linton check out this thread. it has a pic a few pages in that shows a cool way to raise the front upper control arm mount. http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.p...highlight=beast and also check out the unique Z build for more pics http://www.uniqueautosports.com/ i was going down this hole role centre idea but after talking to a suspension gooroo he talked me out of if unless i was ready to put in many hours of ground work. for example a wats linkage rear end if changed 5mm up or down changes a car from an understeering cop to a oversteering cop. also it makes a huge difference changing front to back roll centre. Re the castor mount as well. the holes for the castor rod on the castor rod bracket should be lower than the standard spot. ie the castor rod mount centre should be lower than the lower control arm inner pivot point. if you can make sense of that. hope it helps.
  20. well if they are imperial (meaning american and speed way useage) they are easy to get but these were metric but turned out to be a common size. i had 3 different brands to chose from and 4 different quality ones to chose from. i got teflon coated middle of the road options as i can aford to replace them many times before buying the expencive shit the idea behind the silver subfame is not to make it look like a billet alloy one (joke) but light colours show up cracks and oil leaks easy. they also reflect light making working under the car easier.
  21. im keen for a meet up but no beers for me even thoe i wont have a 2 hour trip back to town. im bringing the missus for my Captain Crew Man leg this year. id hate to do it Hans Solo. Shes actualy coming to make sure i dont get myself sic at the targa party. i dont want it 3 out of 3. so you got a crew sorted snowy MPC? Oh and Roy ill send you a PM when the time is right to rock up to Bens with a case full of coin. on the plus side it gives him more time to work on my car and lend parts to make my car cooler.
  22. thanks for the kind words guys. my new rose joints arrived so ive cleaned up the old adjustable JJ arms. and painted the blue ones so they look the same all ready to go again After talking to a Man in the know it was decided that changing the roll center of the rear without doing the correct calculations may do more harm than good so my half modified sub frame has been put to the side and i spent a bit of time today doing the small mods to my old sub frame. i also wanted to get the car on its wheels and going in the next few weeks so spastically modified sub frame is on hold again. In an effort to make the car a bit more subtle for my re-entry to motor sport (i havent drifted anything for nearly 12 months) ive painted the D Max rear wing gloss black to match the roof spoiler. And the bonnet that looked good on the track actually was a spray can job done over 2 winter nights on the lead up to a drift round. the paint was so wet on the morning that my GF put a hand print in it. so the Gun Mr Chad sanded and prepped the bonnet read for a new coat. coat of saturn black. the pain was not mixed quite right so were not sure if we will go matt or gloss from here. and the rear going back together and a quick snap shot of the track wheels R34 GTR wheels on the back and 17" CST hyper Zeros on the front. calipers have been painted silver after seeing a sexy GTR with silver brembos recently. much nicer than red or blue that you see on any old ricer. i always aim to do more but if im not running the engine in by this weekend ill be sad.

you stagea Navigation must be out of a volvo because Legana westbury bridgenorth and frankford are all on the western side of the tamar. well westburys on the way to devonport but still the west side of launceston. you cant get a round trip over the lakes without hitting some ruff gravel roads. thats the worst thing about the lakes. no point driving up there. im pretty sure last time i went up to the lakes from tunbridge it was gravel for about 1/2 an hour of driving. oh funk i forgot all the smily faces that means im taking the piss.
  24. Bens new build we are going for the boot due to the fact that there is no room behind the passenger seat. behind the drivers seat the abs unit is mounted.
