  1. well i am going to start with the cheaper Hawk pads, as mainly they cater to my needs best. i only need somthing that will last 4 laps. club days for now but can also worm up quick for drifting. thus ive been advised the Hawks. ive never heard a good thing about EBC except from the people that sell them. PM me a price on some pads stu.
  2. yep it is. looks pretty neat. i am also going to get a roof spoiler as i dont want to run a GT wing. As far i i know D-Max stuff is getting scarce as the people i got this off had to change suppliers twice and then it was the only one they had. it seems that there is a lot of issues with D-max aus. i seen recently that Viva garage sells the roof spoilers cheap as chips. much cheaper than D-max. even thoe the last Viva kit i got was worse than rubbish ill try them again.
  3. a few more of mine in a nearly finished state. sorry for the poor picture quality.
  4. they are actually a fair wack different in the indicator thoe. but by the look of these they would sit fine.
  5. ah you replyed in the wrong topic. all becomes clear to me now.
  6. what are you on about? have you got a surprise in store.
  7. are they ABU's old set?
  8. i really want to and i was going to leave my car in hobart for a week after the up coming drift round but that weekend is my dads 50th. so that makes it a no go.
  9. well because of what the engine is when we first tuned it i only had a 6000rpm limiter. i wanted to conserve the engine. when it was dynoed i got it pulled up another 500 to 6500rpm. i fint it very frustrating around symmonds as the car is still pulling strong and because of the gearing it hits the limiter to fast and at the wrong times. so its still only 7000rpm now. the 25de is based of a rb20 engine so it will rev to 8000 no worries but i think ill just try it for now oh and im not sure when ill make the next track day? drifting every month from here on in.
  10. yea i hope so. then add the new brake setup. your going to need to go faster soon ben. L-R the rear was spot on as it sat but the front. well you know about the front. but it wasnt to bad.
  11. hi all i am putting my pearl white 17x9 +19 all round AVS wheels up for sale or swap. i dont really need to sell them but i am desperately chasing a set of R33 GTR rims and would like to straight swap or negotiate with some one. so i am chasing $1000 for a clean sale or swap for some r33 GTR rims. these fit a GTR perfect without scrubbing as they cam off one before i got them. they will hang out of the guards on s13s or r32gtst's if your keen let me know. damo If you have a R33 GTR than these would make for a perfect rim upgrade by only increasing the offset slightly for a better look. the AVS rims are a very good quality strong rim. i have used them for drifting and for circuit work and they have been brilliant. If i wasnt going for a more aggressive wheel i would keep these as second hand sets of these in the same colour and size come up all the time.
  12. and to further update Bond Roll Bars australia have come on board for this year supplying a weld in cage for my car. it should be here tomorrow but we all know what freight companies are like. they supply CAMS approved weld in or bolt in cages for most makes and models of cars and the kits start from $800 weld in to $880ish bolt in and freight is $175 to launceston tas. due to time restraints this will not be fitted before round 1. this is a pic from power cruise if you werent there.
  13. Update: car is now tuned for 13psi. its making 219rwkw and feels just as strong as ever. that works out to about a 20% power increase with just 3 psi pressure. the rev limiter was bumped up another 500rpm also. im not sure what the next move with this engine is but it wont change for at least another 12 months while it was in a Boost i got them to weigh and corner weight the car. im a bit disappointed as it weighs 1250kg even being stripped out. oh well it looks like ill have to do as the sprinter owners do and remove every bit of sound deadener. then ill have to paint the car with only one spray can to save some more weight. but i think its finally time i started on a diet not the car. with the corner weighting we were able to calculate that the car has a 58/42 weight balance. i dont think ill be doing much to this car to change that much but in future cars 50/50 will be somthing to aim for. i also have some new wheels on the way but they will not arrive before round 1. looks like round 2 will be when everything comes together for me with new wheels and a cage. 1 week out from round 1 and only cosmetic stuff to do to the car. hooray. 14. well there you go. thanks heaps for the link and info. they are very similar but not the same as the DNA-01's. the DNA-01's only come in 17' as well. they would be close enough thoe if you wanted 17" front and 18" rears. i have a pair of DNA-01's on the way for my car and if i like them i will get a few more. i cant wait to post up the pics.
  15. hey ZENNON are you able to tell me what brand the wheels are on these to cars. they both look like the same wheel. are they by chance Origin DNA-01 wheels? ABU??? oh and a current pic of my car as i have not yet added to this topic.
  16. so a few quick questions. how much do they weigh? when will these arrive? are they ready to be shipped out to my door asap or are they comming? i only ask because it reads like they will not be available untill late march. thanks damo
  17. hi all. im chasing some good quality pads that arent going to ware out fast or be crap on the track. i only really know where to get bendix and EBC pads cheap. i can actualy get bendix really cheap so i may just keep chucking them in. ive heard good things about the project Mu stuff but cant find a place that sells the. thanks damo
  18. i put these on my 32. the bonnet i used had all the supports cut out so i didn't have to make it fit around them. the car also had had bonnet pins so i used the holes in the radiator support panel to fit mine but as you may have found it a bit to shallow under the bonnet to fit them so my bonnet which isn't real straight anyway doesn't quit fit flush. if i get a new bonnet i will install them the way you have. oh and word of warning after a bit of work the lock in pins start to over balance and you need a tool to get them to lock down. i am not the only one to have run into this. i got mine after seeing all the cars in targa tas last year with them and funnily enough your going in targa tas with some.
  19. do the current or late model apexi RSM do any sort of lap by lap data logging with the G sensor? id like to start data logging at the track as when im there im to bissy driving as i cant drive the car on the road i spend all my time working on it between events. hit me up with some ideas.
  20. i have always had full face ones but i think if i had to buy another id get an open face. the full face gets the safety first tick as if you hit a wall hard im sure you want to smile afterwards. also i gess in a roll over ect with flying glass ect it will save your face.
  21. dam it i would have loved to do that one. im pissed i never grabbed one of thoes cams calenders. i think SAU North should hit up a Barsky club day hard. destroy the track and go home.
  22. story of a GTR owners life. Another point to this exercise is to go to these things as groups to help each other out. as in i usualy trailer to events and take a car packed with spares.
  23. Well i know we have a section for events and thats where most people actively place info and read about what is going on in Tassie Motor Sport but i thought id throw this out here to get some more active discussion. So whos up for what? are you keen to come out to a Club/Drift/hill climb and compete but arent to sure? id personally like to broaden SAU's appearance at motor sport events so that members know that there will always be a fellow skyliner there. personally to get it started i will be running the state drift series once again. i finished 4th last year so i hope to go one better. by the sounds of it Sav Man and i will be running in the mighty GTR for the LCCT mountain circuit challenge. This even is by far the best way to experience all forms of motor sport and get a slight taste of what targa is like and the best thing about it is you can run any sort of street car and not damage them (much.. insert fence here) Some say its fairly expensive but once you weigh up the track and road time plus the bonus bits it sure is worth every cent. ill be crewing again for targa. maybe for a Porsche thoe and if you are keen to travel all over tas and meet some excellent people there is always a place on most targa teams. most of them with expenses paid. And my final goal for 09 will be to do one round of the tas super series. chuck in a few hill climbs and motorkhanas and thats every weekend taken up. and if your not driving you'll be fixing.
  24. are they on a gtst in thoes pics? the front looks no where near wide enough. wheels that is. i personally love the wheels but i dont think they will fill my GTR guards enough. are they a work rim because they look very similar to the equips.
  25. sorry a deal has now been finalised so its sold pending.
