  1. Much appreciated Howie, I think the colour code Im looking for is one of the following LP2 LV4 LXO
  2. I've done a search of the forums, and I am interested in finding out where/who people would recommend to purchase some automotive paint that matches the nissan colour codes. Particularly I am interesting in the midnight purple. I am just trying to work out the costs associated with a complete respray of my RNN14 with something a little bit different. My Thanks, Lenny
  3. I thought it was 3.5" and 5.25" discs.
  4. Says on his website that the performance course requires the completion of the drive to survive course before commencement. Still it would be interesting to go out and have a look
  5. Actually, I'd like to see where it says that in the law/regs/statutes. I hear that alot but no one comes up with where it says that just for being on the road you are at fault for an accident. I had a friends insurance company try this on him a few years ago, in attempt to reduce his claim repayment. He couldn't find anything that stipulates that for being on the road you are immediately at fault, and after persistence they dropped the matter. However, the R33 in this incidence looks to be in a tricky situation. I'm hoping for his sake that turns out OK.
  6. Just wondering was it anyone from here that hit the commodore that then burst into flames on Park Tce around the city, about 4-5pm today. All OK?
  7. I would be interested in going along, its something I've been meaning to look into for a few years now. If you need to make up numbers, I could see if some of the other iR owners are interested.
  8. Hey don't be messing with Johnny, aka south central krusty http://www.geocities.com/h8uall2/Misc/sckrusty.html Im surprised some of you didn't know he had a website
  9. I was planning to use an old heater core I had lying around. A good resource is overclockers.com with a list of didferent car models, dimensions and inlet & outlet diametres. The articles a bit old but you get the idea http://www.overclockers.com/tips1031/ I've seen other kits with a 40L plastic bin next to the PC with 2 hoses in it. Worked quite well.
  10. I'm around mile end with a niceline living across the street from me. Though I can also be found around blackwood in my old haunts.
  11. Turbo timer breaches ADR25 (I think that is the correct section), which basically states the engine cannot be running once the key has been removed from the ignition. There is information on the Transport SA website, but I cannot find the link.
  12. Hmm, I thought this one interesting, but I suppose it part and parcel with inspector inconsistencies. When my car went through, I had the ABS fault light ON (I've turned it off due to common problems with it) in orange on the dash and no comment was made about it. ABS shouldn't matter if you can pass the breaking test. Best of luck
  13. I'd be interested, but I'll have to give this round a miss unless its organised for a few months down the track. If you guys have another one, I'll come out.
  14. Congrats, hope its all it good condition. You must be 1 relieved person atm.
  15. Sorry for the lateness of the reply, but have you looked at the following thread?? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=118737 ADM ended up replacing the spring and the adjustment bung in the AAC valve , and didn't find it to solve the problem. I measure and created a drawing of the bung if required, if you cannot get the complete unit as desired.
  16. Whats wrong with your AAC valve??
  17. you guys should come around my neighbourhood. No one would notice it, but it would make a nice change from all the holdens doing it out the front.
  18. I looked into this once, for a weekend day its ~$3000-3800, ambulance on standby at track is approximately $800 for an 8 hour session. These prices are off the top of my head as I can't find my original email and it was a while ago. But basically the prices are great if you can organise 30-50 people, => 50 under $100 but otherwise for a small group it might pay to all turn up to a open circuit day and pay the $100
  19. Not part of the spotted, but interested to hear about the porsche around the nurburbring. I'll be there within 8 weeks and plan to see the circuit and maybe go for a drive if the hire car is worth it
  20. An old post of mine from another forum, for gauges on A-pillar try looking at the ADR's (these links should work) section 18. Under section 18, a boost gauge is considered a Group II gauge -> Pressure Indicator
  21. A gear shifter is supposed to have a gear shift pattern on it to meet ADR's. Reason: In an emergency situation it should be expected for someone to be able to get into the car and at a glance know the gear selection layout. This could be either a with a decal or you could go the ferrari/lambo way and get a stencil cut out over the gear stick to show selection. However this being said, the stock shifter in the -iR does not have a pattern and thats been through regency twice without question.
  22. Cheers Chops this is exactly what I was after

Maybe, when you see the cost for an emissions test you might think otherwise. I think the nearest one is in melbourne (don't quote me on that), in addition to the strict specifications of the testing. Then you might pass emissions but might get done for noise. Cruel world.

As the venting point is generally after the AFM with a atmosphere venting BOV the air will leave the system and cause the AF ratio to run rich. Or from the SA RTA sight http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/personal_tr...ht_vehicles.asp Info Bulliten3.pdf This does not mean an immediate fail, it just means you need to get an emissions test done and an engineers report.
  25. Can't believe its taken me over 2hrs to finish this Cheers GTSD1, but this was the link I was originally looking at and I must apologise for not being as specific. I was looking for the details relating to seizure of property as I thought the 'Hoon Laws' (commonly referred) were an ammendment to incorporate this into the penalty. Interesting to note and its concerns the state government that a search was unsuccessful in turning up any information. In fact nearly all information that was found relating to news about the bill, but no link to the bill. The only information found was from a local council meeting minutes in discussing the proposed bill. http://www.mitchamcouncil.sa.gov.au/webdat...ncil_Agenda.pdf Bit of info here including the real name of the legislation. On page 22 point 14.7 (credit to ADM) What concerns me is that the bill/act has been ammended and we know ignorance is not an acceptable defence, yet it has proven difficult to get/find the full act and ammendments. Btw, cheers for your comments and for involving yourself in this thread. Personally, if people are stupid enough to do reckless driving then Im all for getting them off the roads I see too much of it on my daily 50-60km round trip to work. However, my concerns are similar to the original topic in that if we come across people with a extreme prejudice towards our vechiles, then as ADM has said the regs are so general it completely relies on the descretion of the officer and then up to us later either through court or regency to argue the point. And both options then take a considerable amount of time and money to get the situation correct, especially since if its defined as 'hooning' its impounding and for defect a full inspection at regency. This being said I don;t think all the attention should directed towards the police, our parlimentary members should be reviewing these bills to remove ambiguity.
