Yep got the light fixed up. It was the boost controller being left on. Too easy

Mine came stock with the car from japan, lights up blue. Didn't even no till i got home When i rang him up a few days later i asked him bout it and he said its an optional extra when u buy the car brand new over there, i'll take a pic at night and post it. i Dont know how its done and aint gonna try to find out on my own car, cause why f**k with somethin that aint broke haha

Im gettin him to do it cause i dont no how to do it myself as im new to using the power fc and the book that came with it is all in japanese. $980 and a jap book or $1600 and an english book, I'll keep my $620 bucks thanks. no books worth that much lol

Take it easy hey lol Thanks heaps i rang up the guy and told him what u said bout the power fc's boost controller kit being left on and he said yeah but its not using that boost controller and i said yeah but is it still switched on cause u guys on the net reckon thats that'll be the reason the light is on. And he said yeah it might still be on, so im goin in there tomorrow and his gonna switch it of if its on. Nothin is gonna happen meanwhile hey? just an orange light doin f**k all...

i got a e-boost 1 and its definatly on, lighting up and showing boost increase and stuff

well 13.9 boost is the highest it was at on the dyno but went to 14.1 that night cause it was cooler, 8 and 10 are the other boost settings. I've heard everywhere 14 pound is fine on a stock turbo, not much higher though Which fuses under the dash, engine bay?

I got my car fitted with an apexi power fc and dyno tuned yesterday. When i went to pick it up the guy said that as soon as they put the apexi computer in this orange light in the top right corner of the dash came on. I aint sure what it is as i have no manual with the car cause its from japan. Its an orange picture with the word check through it. The car runs perfect and the guy said its something to do with the computer and the car not registering that item but it wont effect the car. His trying to find out about it cause he said its happened to the other skylines he's fitted apexi power fc too aswell, just wonder if anyone here has had, seen or heard of that happenin before and what the person done to get rid of that light. It aint effecting the car so i dont care that much but just dont want the light on the dash.

yep good old supercheap from box to pod a little improvement, not that noticeable honestly. just went from 6 to 14 pound boost yesterday. thats noticeable haha.

This is the first way i had it, hated the yellow! This is what i've changed it to. looks better and has a bracket aswell, plus more air can get to the more of the pod.

This is what i have done to get air there, and just changed inside the engine bay around a little bit today and i'll post fotos of that tomorrow. I figured that if u have the pod filter joined to the induction pipe, the induction pipe goes under water (deep puddle) the suction will suck water up. I had the same sorta set up with the pod filter down behind the front spoiler but didnt feel comfortable in heavy rain or with puddles, so this is what i ended up with. I'll post what i have done with the pod filter when i take some fotos.

I had the same problem but i went for the pod filter, this is how i got around it With the pod filter u will also get a cool induction noise. Im thinkin about getting a better heat shield rather than the cover thats over the pod, but im no rush as its working great now

Hey the cai box with the clear lid looks awsome the only thing is will the box fit with the after market cooler piping. the stock snorkel had to be removed to allow the piping to fit so now i got a pod with a different cai. would still be interested in the box if if fit. Also is there a hole in the bottom of the box to allow for my induction pipe, if not i'll cut one, just wondering.

The yellow cover would have prevented cold air thats why i cut the 3" hole in the cover and positioned the hole directly over the induction pipe. Now the cover acts as a heat shield aswell as getting cold air striaght to the pod. And ellie theres not much chance of rain water finding its way up there... not enough to do anything anyway.. but i'll check next time we get some heavy rain for ya.

JaiJai.. the induction pipe is the same length. all the 3" bend pipe is doing in directing air to where its sposed to go

Nahh i done it after i got the front mount installed, had to get a pod filter put on cause the stock air box was getting air from the engine because it had to be partly removed to fit the intercooler pipe work. Im talkin about the hole directly under the stock air box its almost 3" I bought a hole saw but in the end used a file because there was bugger all to take out. I dont think its the hole from the stock intercooler because im pretty sure thats still being used by the new cooler piping. Just look up under the front left guard you can see the hole clearly.

Well i've tried an idea and im in the process of making it better. I know u didnt wanna cut any holes but its only a fraction larger than the original hole, u could use a file... Anyway first up i removed the stock air box and purchased a 90' silicone hose as it needed to be a tighter bend, then i bought a 90' 3" stainless piece of pipe. U could use an off cut from an exhaust shop. Cut the hole slightly bigger and set up the silicone bend from the stock air flow meter so it bends down the hole and over the 3" 90' bend stainless. I fed the stainess pipe up the hole and the silicone over the pipe so it didnt need to go down the hole. Then position the stainless so its aiming foward and attach the pod filter. This makes it positioned just under the fog lights on a series 2 front depending how long u leave the pipe, not sure about the series 1. Problem was that the simota pod filter i have has a case around the outside. I bought it like that to help prevent stones etc bouncing up and damaging the pod filter. It worked fine .... until it rained heavly. Problem was the rain bouncing up from the road and spraying up from other cars was collecting in the pods surrounding case. I realised as soon as i got home when i checked the pod and it was still wet. I had it positioned on an angle to prevent this but still dont feel comfortable driving in the wet like this. Solution im adopting is removing the pod and silicone hose and leaving the stainless pipe hanging down from the hole with a polished trumpet like end that im gonna have welded to the end of it. That way in the gap under the fog light there will be a nice chrome funnel like thingie At the top side of the pipe, just inside the engine bay weld tabs to the tip of the pipe and put screws through them into the engine bay to hold it firm. Then just fit the pod filter to the stock air flow meter as normally done and there u have it... done. Even if the trumpet end goes under water it shouldnt matter as there is no direct suction, the air will just flow up the trumpet and be directed right at the pod filter. Matt
