  3. Was aiming for more power, but realised I didnt have the money to spend. As i just got a new clutch and the new power would of fried it. Also didnt have money to upgrade other things needed for that power level I was aiming for. Cheers Daniel

  6. You can tell the difference between an active lsd and a normal lsd, as an active lsd has an electrical plug going into it and a normal lsd doesnt. And yes it does have a set of codes/serials/numbers on it to identify each diff. This is for a r33 gtst diff. Cheers
  7. PLYNX, What diameter was the wooden dowl. Didnt think wood would work so well, but it can be forced in there for a tight fit so makes good sense. Cheers
  8. Ofensv, Nah no chance, I wish. The bolt fits snugly inside of the brass bush and the steel bush. Cheers and thanks for the replies.
  9. Hi, I had another go at it today, cut the thread off the bolt, just using the shank and it still didnt budge? The thing is in there tight.
  10. Think I might end up getting a spigot bush puller. I had a look the other day at the bolt shop and all they had was an entire kit. Does any body know where to get a spigot puller. Cheers
  11. I had another go at it today. Went to the bolt shop and got almost a perfect match for it..still wont budge, the newspaper keeps pressing into the thread. The glue tack idea sounds good. I might try some grease instead of the wet newspaper too. Cheers
  12. Thats a good point... I might start to enquire about this tool. Cheers
  13. Oh my bad, just took rb25 engine as rb25det. So how does the N/A plenum look on a rb25de (r32 series), Im taking its identical to the rb20det plenum. Cheers
  14. A rb20det and a rb25det have different plenums...The rb20 is much rounder and longer, where as the rb25det is much shorter. Cheers
  15. How much are one of those $60..I'm only doing the job once. Anybody want to lend one for a day.. Cheers
  16. The bolt i used was about 16mm in diameter and I think it was jus to small. I might try the breaking it idea, as I dont want to go buy a tool just for one job. Cheers
  17. I assume its in there for the torque converter and this ones a steel item it doesnt wear down, where the manual bush is brass and slowly wears down overtime. I think this is correct
  18. I have tried the equivalent and to no prevail. The wheel stud you used, was it a perfect ft into the bush or was there 0.5mm - 1mm gap give or take each side. Cheers
  19. Hi All, I am converting a r33 gtst from auto to man. I am having trouble getting the auto spigot bush out. I have tried using the wet newspaper with a bolt trick but its not working at all. Has any body got a spigot bush puller they can lend for a day, I really need it out as its holding me up. Also, anyone got any other techniques. Cheers Daniel
  20. Just a quick question, How'd you get the auto thrust bearing out?
  21. One reason it will be out is because of the different diff ratio;s. The r33 auto has 4:3.1 The r33 man has 4.11's or somewhere around there. You will need have it recalibrated either way. They put some type of signal box(?) between the tacho and drive. You will benefit from the quicker revving via the reduced inertia of lower gears. Cheers
  22. Also, good stuff on the budget build...Im putting a rb25det in my r32 and changing my mind now as I want the 3.0l bottom end. Do it once I say..
