  1. For those interested, the anzac day drags were cancelled...we will still be going in a couple of weeks. Cheers Liz n D
  2. I wish i knew the explanation of different parts maxing out at different power. I know that no 2 parts are the same, though I have a good feeling is has sumthing to do with the tune. Cheers
  3. ossie 21 what pump are you using?
  4. I used nulon injector cleaner just before the tune as I run around alot with the empty fuel light on which usually picks up all the sludge from the bottom of the tank..
  5. also running 235rwkw on stock injectors and stock pump, no reg. Ive also heard of people running big power (300rwkw) with stock injecctors..and I heard this from an exerienced tuner? But from what these forums say its impossible to run this/or dangerous to do so...it might be I dont know? Im assuming that it may depend on the tuner and how he tunes it...People say rb25 AFM need to be upgraded over 220rwkw..mines fine at 235rwkw. Its also good to consult with a tuner as they are the ones tuning these things on a daily basis and some for a long time. my 2c
  6. Have you also got a cold air intake running from underneath the airbox..
  7. Also doing this now, good job on the titanium.. Why did you choose titanium? over say normal sheet metal or something thinner.. How much for the titanium and where did you purchase it... My plan was going to be to use pop rivets and seal it with silicon.. Cheers
  8. very.. yes hi-flow
  9. Youre right dangerman I am a little worried, but cant fight that urge.. I was thinking of stalling it up on the stock convertor but I may not even do that...see how it goes. Cheers
  10. Thats what I was think but the auto doesnt change gears good at all and thinking I may loose mph because of it..thus the low 1/4mile time also... Im sure with a proper auto and good tyres with a good 60ft this power should net a 12.6-12.8 time.
  11. hi, This is 8months old now, but I have results from my first post.. I ended up gettin the turbo on, it was hitting R&R badly..running rich as... before turbo I got dump pipe also.. Anyways ended up making good power 234.9rwkw@11/12psi.. Fuel economy is great..went for a drive after safc tune at hitmans...180klms so far to not even 1/4 tank..im sure i will get 450-480klms out of full tank.. theres a thread in forced induction with results n graph FYI Cheers
  12. Also, The plan is to go to WSID on anzac day...GUESS what time or MPH I will run???? Im thinking 13.5@105mph with a 2.2 60ft as the car doesnt move much until 4000rpm where it wheel spins until second then just pulls and pulls... Cheers
  13. Also, If anyone knows of a cheap auto trans cooler for sale let me know please.... Daniel...
  14. Im keen...Im in... Hoping for some 13s if the automatic holds up.. See you's there.
  15. I will be taking it out to WSID to see if the power reflects the cars mph... I am not expceting a good time, but the mph will hopefully show its future potential... the stock auto gearbox is slowly dying..im better to take my foot of the accelerator then keep it flat between gears. Next mod will be to do something to the auto box... Cheers
  16. SK, The 3rd question is a question for the tuner, Im sure he has a good reason for using third.. I will have to look at the website...though I live out in sydneys west and all the shells do not have this fuel as far as I am aware...
  17. Darren, BOOST98 and v-power racing do have the same blend percentage of ethanol though I would think the qaulity and R&D of the shell fuels would be better, as they make a stack load of different race fuels and chemicals...toluene for eg, I was hooked ever since i read the thread in zoom or hpi with that 32gtr gaining somewhere near 20rwkw with just the changing of fuel from normal 98 to ethanol enhanced fuel.. D
  18. Hi, Just FYI i got 235rwkw@11/12psi on stock fuel pump,AFM and stock regulator(the car was an auto also)...i agree that you should upgrade these items and that all cars are different but its food for thought... This was also done on a safc ...a powerfc would give a way better tune overall just not in power output but the powerband midrange etc...if you can afford a powerfc and a tune ($900-1800 for powerfc then $500 for a full tune) then go for it..on the other hand I could not afford this and got the safc and tune for $500 all up.. If an emanage popped up when i was hunting for a cheap ecu I would of got it..theres one for sale now..it is way better then n safc and that one for sale is going for $350..the tune will also only cost $180-$280. There are other cheap alternatives there, but you pay for quality/or the product with demand. Good luck, it is an exciting path to take...
  19. Oh okay, I just had a look a the hi-flow that BOOSTD done and it does seems very familiar..actually the blade did look like the t04e I sold recently... Cheers
  20. REV210, what are the specs or how do these BOOSTD turbos rate? all I know is that the previous owner said it is rated at 450hp? Also with the power curve I dont think it represnts it well as the tuner had to bring it on slowly to avoid it kicking back a gear..I will do the mod where it locks in 3rd gear on the SAU dyno day and then see how it goes... Also you know the goods on fuels, what is your view on BOOST98 from united petrol..did the ethanol help? Cheers
  21. Does any1 rekon the boost 98 from united helped me along at all... Im quite interested in fuels and their advantages and thats the reason why I choose the boost98 as it has sumting like 5% ethanol in it...Ive read quite a few articles claiming its miracles, the ethonal that is and how it has to be tuned to it... Before I got it tuned i used bp 98 and boost 98..untuned the bp98 felt way better, the ethonal decreased power. I wanted to use shell v-power racing but I cant even find it in sydney yet... Let me know your thoughts...im still wondering why the power was so high..the dyno is a pretty average reading dyno(DD) aswell. Cheers
  22. Awesum power by the way dangerman4...
  23. Dangerman, Yeh he was taking it easy until he would reach a certain klm so it would not kick back, it was constantly kicking back on the dyno... THe turbo is good for what it is though..i know its no gt30 but I wouldnt call it a pig...on the street im pretty sure im gettn 11/12psi by 3000rpm.. it is annoying though as first gear is wheel spin time..... I would like to get it run again to see its proper power band...i say ill do it at the SAU dyno day, take that brown plug out.. Midrange does suffer a little on the dyno graph but I dont think its reflects this when drivin in real life conditions on the road.. I would get a PFC if I had the money, but as you can see per the mods I havnt spent much at all..a budget build you could say.. Im still wrapped with the power... Cheers

    Again

    Its looking really good
