  2. too late...im booked in for 3pm... Come on have a guess before tomorow...
  3. I couldnt find the thread, i typed Hack + gearbox????in tutorial
  4. Hey Paul I just completed a search for this gearbox hack...how long does it take to do...I want to try and do it before I go to the dyno????
  5. Im hoping to do that before the Sau dyno day..but money money money... I want to do a few more mods, so it can handle 18psi. Im yet to decipher if the SAFCII is up to the task of running the engine safely at anything above 18psi.. Cheers
  6. Paul...what is the gearbox hack???
  7. My guess is 180rwkw@10psi
  8. To give an indication, the turbo was also on a rb20det with 1mm oversize valves and it made [email protected] was also automatic and had similar mods???? D & LIZ
  9. HI, Im going to the dyno and thought Id post up to see if any1 can guess how much power I will make... Mods are -r33 Rb25det stock -Automatic -Hi-flow turbo - R33 front hi-flowed and VG30 rear housing. Other specifics unknown. -FMIC -3inch exhaust with split dump, wrapped. Old hi-flow 2 mufflers, quiet. -Rb20det wastegate actuator 10psi -SAFCII -Stock fuel pump, no reg, stock AFM. -Thats it.. Getting tuned by HITMAN at Race Solutions in Penrith. I will post up results hopefully tomorow... Have a guess... Disclaimer: No prizes included. Cheers Liz and Daniel ________________________________________________________________________________ ____ I GOT RESULTS BACK - We are suprised with the results and Matt done a great job.... 234.9RWKW@11/12psi.( I dont know why it ran the higher psi as it has an rb20 acuator on it. Only issue I had was with the spark plugs, it was blowing out the spark at this boost level, there copper and were gapped to 1.1 now Matt regapped them to 0.65. He didnt mention anything about fuel, afm or anything and they were working quite well at this boost level.. I am curious to see what it will do when i finish what I want to do with it, just a few more minor mods. AFR's were good to between 11.8 t 12.0. ________________________________________________________________________________ _____ After all this now to the next stage.. The plan is to go to WSID on anzac day...GUESS what time I will run???? Im thinking 13.5@105mph with a 2.2 60ft as the car doesnt move much until 4000rpm where is wheel spins until second then just pulls and pulls...im just worried about the auto...getting heak soaked/slipping or dying.. ________________________________________________________________________________ ________________ Update; AUTO DIED 4/5 months later..Going manual now and modifying a little more..See page 3 for full list of upgrades and changes.

    Again

Abo Bob - I can answer that question before he does, its the standard 4.3:1 or wateva the r32 gtst diff is...I think it might have gtr axles, not sure I know he snapped/shagged the last gtst axles that were on there at WSID when he was trying to beat his 12.2 time.. D
  11. One part that was enoying and tricky was cutting of the fan blade to clear the piping...im sure this has to be done on all bolt on kits... D

    Again

yeah thats right... nuthin wrong with pink .... mine will be faster <<<< why is it still silver????? liz....
  13. The most difficult part it where to cut the wholes in the engine bay, everything else is pretty easy.. to cut the wholes just use a drill to make a circle then chisel them out... to cut the front bar you will need a special tool for this as its not easy to do wit a hack saw or anything.. Its worth doing yourself for the experience and a good acomplishment when finished..you can say you done it.. But for $200 to get it installed its really worth it.. Cheeers Daniel
  14. Can somebody shed some light on BAMR33 question, i am curious on this now... D
  15. I have done all of the above, the reason why i am clarifying wat I have done is because i get the same reading for knock 1 and 2...it reads the same all the time, at idling, when revving underboost normal driving conditions..it does not go up or down?? Also all wires are solded so i am sure of a good connection. D
  16. Thanx for that, no i didnt recieve the manual when bought...i have read the manual though..
  17. There are two knock wires on the safc2, one purple and the other one is_____??? Does anyone know what color the other knock sensor wire on the safc2 is... And I want to clarify that I join the 2 safc knock wires together then only join one to the ecu harness??? Kind Regards,
  18. I am in the process of building up my car also so I have alot of time to choose an ecu.. The only thing I dont like aboutt the power fc is you have to run a AFM where as the wolf you do not... Daniel
  19. The ecu was from my dad,and it is his 2 tunes in the wolf... I am geting a ecu that my tuner is comfortable with this is the only reason. He can tune haltechs and power fc alot better then he can tune the wolf. You would want a person that can tune this wolf to get its full potential.. It is a fantastic ecu though... Daniel All pms replied to...
  20. Anyone have any contacts in nsw???or places to buy toluene. Cheers Daniel
  21. Reason I am enquiring is I am gettn the car tuned this Friday and wanted to add %15 of toluene with %75 98bp ultimate, just for the heck of it and see how it performs...
  22. I contacted Shell and auschem is their only distributor in sydney, bummer. I contacted Bp and they have no distributor in Sydney? damn.. Anyone else that may supply toluene, I have rang numerous parts places some said good luck and most of them said have no idea what it is.
  23. I gave them a call for 20l drum its $68...anywhere cheaper then that. Its pure toluene and its a shell brand. Thats $3.40 p/l is it worth it.
