History: The car started out as a Non-turbo auto Silvia with a 180SX front added by DT Panels. Since then I have had it converted to manual by the old N1 Service factory and in following years to come, converted to a Blacktop SR20DET by their new workshop. Most work has been carried out by reputable workshops, DT Panels, N1 Service Factory, Teknik Tuning, RE Customs, Traction Tyres, Koni suspension just to name a few. Just recently I have had the car fully resprayed in Honda Grand Prix white with a full Vertex kit added (Previously was missing the rear bar). The car itself was built with reliability as number 1 priority and street based handling as it's goal. She has hardly given me any trouble in 4 years that I have owned her. It has ALWAYS run stock boost ever since I had the engine installed (Had a genuine 130,000~ kms at time of install). I am not interested in power with this car, I really just wanted to see how well I could get it to handle on the streets. While I am selling it now with plenty of mods still in mind, it is unfortunately time to move onto bigger and better things (4 door car namely ). I love this car very much, and have tried to sell it in the past only to keep it as I could not let her go =( To be done: I am incredibly fussy with the suspension adjustment and still would like to adjust the damper rates, replace the front bump stops with Koni equivalents and MAYBE lower the spring seats on the rear (which are adjustable btw!) after which I will have a proper wheel alignment done to the car. But besides that there is very little to be fixed. I am more then happy to answer any questions. The ever important price? I am asking for $13,500 NEGOTIABLE. I have access to stock parts and a few spares here and there, so if you don't want any particular part I can drop the price further... just negotiate! More pictures to be posted! And plenty upon request as well as receipts showing how much money she owes me but not the new owner =P Any questions please reply, PM me or call me on 0402346691 (Preferably after 7:30pm or send me a SMS and I'll call you when I'm free).

What's the rough price range you're looking at? -
Oh cr#p... I remember seeing a Darkish grey 300ZX with I think Silver oldish style Enkei's going Caulfield way when I passed the Warrigal/Princess fwy intersection. This was about 3:30am after coming back from the city... f**k that's scary. In this position, do you think would it be an idea to contact the Police?
-
Sorry don't think it would be worth it for me to bring them from interstate Should have put that in the topic... whoops.

Just after matching or not matching set of tyres to fit on 17", 7" front and 8" rear tyres (matching pairs though!). RWC too Not going to drift them, just want to feel that little bit better in the wet So anything from 215 to 245 would be great Let me know what you have! Thanks

The varying levels of politeness, especially when making requests always gets me confused/mixed up in conversations... not easy! Apparently it's one of the few languages in the world to actually implement degrees of politeness so extensively?

Mine didn't take that long (about a week and a bit?) but I kinda busted Adz balls about it because of an upcoming track day... he was pretty cool about it at such late minute notice and got me on track in the end which was great Just send him a PM or something if you need it urgently

Nothing much ever since Speed went... but sometimes High Performance Imports? Stock cars don't interest me too much

I had a kid on his bike constantly egging me on to "rip it up"... I shook my head but he kept bugging me. So I decided to "pretend" to run him over... he shat himself and fell off his bike swearing his head off at me. Harsh but it was hilarious at the time But I think it's the case with any import that looks/sounds modified... I get heaps of dirty looks by people in my neighborhood and even happy school kids pointing at my car get pushed along by their parents followed by a dagger stare It only takes a few bad apples to ruin it for the rest of us I suppose...

Thanks for the reply... I only get them aligned at the one place. But when I compared my other values like camber for the front change .2 degrees which didn't surprise me as much as the rear toe change? I'm gonna point the finger at bushes I think <_<

Hiya Just got my car (S13 Silvia) back from a wheel alignment, however it was only a month or 2 ago since my last one but during that time, I've managed to gain almost +2 to 3 mm toe on the rears? Most of my other alignment settings remain fairly close to what they last left it with which is why I'm a bit curious as to why this might happen... bushes going perhaps? And to note, I haven't changed anything in the rear besides change rims once. Or is this change just normal? Old alignment for rears - Left = +1mm - Right = + 1,4mm Today for rears before adjustment - Left = +3,8mm - Right = +4,4mm They've since adjusted it back to about +1mm. Also while I'm at it, I was hoping on slightly less rear camber but the max they could get it to was -1.25~ I WAS planning to lower the rear by about 5mm but that would just make my situation worse, so... would aftermarket offset bushes be sufficient or should I start looking at arms? I'm guessing Toe arms may also be needed? Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions/answers...!

I've been reading the Japan section of SAU for a while and am looking at seriously planning my trip over there once I finish my University degree. There are quite a few questions I have which I've tried to find an answer for but still worry me regardless! At the moment I'm working in IT Customer service/support, and with the company I'm working for, there's things changing all the time and it makes me worry that my degree after I come back will be not so useful? I do, however only plan to stay a year or so max... obviously depending on how things go Has anybody come back or had any experience with this sort of issue? At the same time though, with graduation in sight, I'm not sure if I'll be staying in IT? Which is kind of confusing seeing as I've just spent a good number of years on it... Another thing is that I've been studying Japanese in University on and off since High school, so I can speak basic Japanese I think/hope (although Kanji still never ceases to annoy me ). Is there any chance of getting another job in Japan besides teaching English? Or would you be required to be fluent in Japanese both reading/writing and speaking for most of them? If teaching English is the only/best option... are there are any recommendations for companies to go under or is it better to go solo with this? Although I would imagine it's difficult to get yourself setup initially, both funds, accomodation etc. wise...? And lastly... accomodation and location! I almost indefinately will be buying myself a car to bring back at the end of my trip so car space will be an issue. Do the English teaching companies allocate you to specific areas or do you just give preferences or go an area yourself then...? I'm not exactly sure how this works! I may also be going with a friend and his girlfriend, so sharing an apartment with them might be a good idea perhaps? But where? Not too far from a city but at the same time, not in the sticks I suppose Sorry about the long winded questions but if somebody could help me calm some fears about it all/give recommendations and advice, it would be greatly appreciated!

Transformers! Optimus Prime was easily the favourite Also had Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... a Mechano set, Lego, a rocket launcher kit (Was awesome, go to the Hobby shop near Melbourne central, they have a whole section on it )... makes me want to be a kid again I had a remote control car but after an incident with the sand pit and trying to "fix it"... well... I made it worse and lost parts

A Skyline will reach a higher speed coming out of a corner before the next one comes up when compared to a Lancer. With that in mind, you're less likely to get into trouble with a monster 50kw atw Plus I don't think anybody is bagging anybody... except the road laws and licensing system which don't really help prevent these sorts of unfortunate accidents
-
I suppose the first question to ask is what exactly do you have in mind for the car?
-
RIP to Nadia The anti-speed campaigns, the licensing system, lack of advanced driver training and just general mentalities on the road are shocking. Your average joe doesn't care about how his car reacts in different weather conditions, how to react to under/oversteer, he/she just wants to get from A to B. The problem is, it's easiest to catch people speeding and "oddly" enough, that's what they're doing. Poor driving skills/habits unfortunately, aren't so easy... Tailgaters, people merging lanes without indicating, cutting off large trucks within short distances, locking up brakes (which could be under the hoon laws I suppose for loss of traction?), not paying attention on the road, old age... the list goes on, but I hardly see any of these people being punished appropriately because in some cases, it's "legal". The best I've seen is an anti-tailgating ad on the freeway to Frankston. That's it. [sarcasm] Go Victoria! [/sarcasm]
