  1. We have a winner! Yeh Blind Skateboards Company
  2. You can just tee your boost gauge into the a hose at the front of the plenum. It a little hose only about 8 cm long at the front the the plenum towards the drivers side, and it wont interfere with the bov etc.
  3. Woot! 235! with no z32 afm standard injectors and fuel pump! Thats crazy! How is your power curve can you post the dyno? This is very interesting. I made 195rwkw with basically the same mods but no hi flow - standard turbo. I would have thought you would have run into all sorts of problems with the standard afm and ecu running the hi flow... From what you have said - apparently not!
  4. Still seems very minimal...
  5. Hmm thats wierd so the bov only has the one hose now running to the plenum? In that case the bov must have stopped working, probably stuck or something as said above. Maybe you should just put on your turbosmart one on in its place and hopefully that one will work. You will probably need to buy an adapter though to it can flange on like mine.
  6. What good is done / benefit in installing one of these plenums with the standard turbo?
  7. Yeh I'll post some pics up of my car just waiting for a good day so i can give it a wash then take some pics
  8. ooowww yeahhhh :PBJ: Exactly what Ive been on about Looks slik and tough
  9. Ok here are the pics of the correct setup you should have. You have the hose (with the red arrow pointing to it) tee'd into the bov hose (yellow hose). Where as on mine but hoses are seperate and run to the plenum. You can see here the same hose and the points it attaches to (marked with blue arrows) Yours appears to be tee'd into the bov hose for some reason becuase the hormal point that this hose (red arrow) connects to on the plenum appears to be used by another hose running toward the passenger side of the engine by near the fire wall. Where is that hose running to? Does it go through the fire wall and into the cabin? Maybe the guy beofr you used it to get a boost reading for the gauge... Hope this helps
  10. Thw way you will no for sure if its the bov of the way its hooked up is when you put your turbosmart one on and if it flutters through out the whole rev range - not working, hence its the vac line steup. If it goes pschhh then its all good and the hks bov was stuffed.
  11. I dont think the bov has siezed. It's possible don't get me wrong but i feel it was never set up right in the first place. When you have the factory plumb back there is only the one hose running from the bov to the plenum. Yours is tee'd into with another hose running to the nipple under the cross over pipe. This is not the original setup and where that hose is supposed to go. There should be no 't' piece in the bov line. I will take a pic from my car and show you what i mean.
  12. Just wondering why are you so adament to have a ca18 and not an sr20?
  13. yeh haha not real...
  14. Mine nearly cost double that... Depreciation / fake ads sux...
  15. yeh i wouldn't worry about rushing out and changing it.
  16. the tee piece near your air box etc won't have anything to do with the operation of the bov. Problem is i cant really see from that pic of the bov, where one of the red vac lines runs too.. the one furthest up the top looks like its running under the bov or is it connected to it as well? Where is that hose connected or does the bov have two hoses coming off it? A pic from the top rather than the side would be easier to see.
  17. Pretty much... it's the damn parents that go to bed too early and then say that my car wakes them up!
  18. M spec kit plus gtr wing will look the best for that tough but no over the top look. so yeh it will be a good choice. I'm not sure if its a nismo grill but the best grill for the series 1 with m spec bar is one that is a black plastic mesh with a red 's' for the gtst in the middle. Looks like the chrome 's' on the series 2 bonnet but instead is red and in the grill. My mate had it on his series 1 with m spec bar and looked really good heaps better than the venetian blind grill that the standard s1's have... It may very well be a nismo item i was never really sure. As for the paint, do whatever you feel you will like. Personally i have always thought two tone to be a bit old skool. But i can see what you mean with the weird blue colour. You are probably just used to seeing it in two tone as well. Maybe doing some photoshopping would help you decide.
  19. Not totally sure how your setup is but, if the bov you currently have is in the stock position (just before the throttle body on the cross over pipe) It should have a single vac line running from the top of the bov and onto a the manifold (after the throttle body). Why is there a tee in the hose connecting to the top of the bov and where is it running to? I tee'd into it once before and the bov stopped working. So it needs to be a single line from the bov to the maniforld.
  20. I think the slides were about half the price thats why he was more interested in them as they were a bit more affordable.
  21. Sounds like your current bov is not working at all. If it were a working plambback you would get no flutter ans just a kinda cough out the pod filter. If your apexi was a workgin atmo you should get the flutter under lighter load conditions but then its venting sound at higher load. Does your current bov make any noise? If it doesn't it may just be not a strong enough vacuum line going to the top of it. Sometimes if the vac line going to the bov has a tee piece in it and a hose going somewhere else as well, then it doesn't function properly becuase it fails to reconginise the change in manifold pressure.
  22. Just wached the video looks pretty interesting. My Xforce is damn loud and I hate having to park up the street when i go to my gf's place... lol
  23. Na like when the bov vents, excess un burn't fuel will be dumped into the exhaust causing a backfire type sound. Not overly loud - also doesn't happen all the time either, mine doesn't really do it much at all, the turbosmart ones are good because you can tighten them up to increase the spring rate - hardening the piston in the bov to stop your car from stalling. If the bov is too loose i.e venting too much and or under idle it will cause you car to stall. If you are interested in the sound etc of a blow off valve then a pod filter will give you a simular sound just using the stock bov. Basically set up right and you shouldn't have too many issues, but it may just cause your car to have those 'rich' as in rich fuel mixtures when the bov vents. nothing really to worry about. Try your bov and try adjusting the spring rate by turning the head of it, it should be fine, but if its causing you issues just wak the stock one back on and use a pod filter.
  24. Dont think we have a stagea yet - i.e better show up!
  25. Great Gtr Ant! The track tyres look so very very tough! love it
