I'll keep a look out. This sounds simular to when the yellow s15 was stolen by 'people interested in buying it' . The whole thing just sucks.

See if you can pick up a seconf hand one for cheap and give it a go - or borrow one. Yeh maybe check the solder points inside the afm to.

Also the Alarm i had in there is still in the car i.e all the wiring for it etc yet i have removed the control unit for it. Will this alarm still being there make for a real hassle for a new one to be installed?

As the topis states i just want a good cheap alarm that basically just has an engine immobiliser and a siren. Simple and effective. What brand / model should i be looking at? Pref aus strandards approved I'm over these alarms with heaps of features etc. My last alarm was a page guard vision gaurd system that just stopped working one day. The thing had a colour screen pager, sensors everywhere, auto start, theft camera all this stuff and yet was not reliable and just died in the end. I now just want something cheap thats gonna help protect my car and basically just work. I* fugure the less fancy functions and bells and whistles the less there is to break on the thing. Any thoughts? Im in melb also if anyone knows where to get some from. Cheers

Experience with it - can never find the stuff. It's at barely any shells and some of the ones that have the pump for it are always out of service... Didn't seem to drive all that different to tell the truth. I should prob try a full tank though and see if it makes a difference to economy.

wow i had no idea chasers were that quick! Looks like hands down to the chaser. I thought the 1jz's were supposed to be prone to primary turbo failure and wern't that good compared to 2jz etc. You can get 2jz chasers cant you?

Definately paint the bottom half of your car in blue - it will look really nice then. I reckon you should just get the factory m spec front bar for the series one and cut the middle out where the number plate is attached to - giving you the cooler gap. Get some factory side skirts off an m spec and paint em matching blue as well. Top it off with a gtr rear wing or stealth wing and it will look awesome - because it will be suble but a lot better than what you currently have. I have a genuine gtr wing on my car but the pic in my sig is old... love the gtr wing!

Yeh i can understand, It won't cost you much though and will transform the look of your car. My cars looked heaps better after the tinting, but my mates wagon looked like a totally new car! it is a good thing to do for only a couple hundred bucks. If you want darker than 35% you will have to pay cash as they wont give you a reciept for the 'illegal tints' but 35% is just no where near dark enough... 5's is where its at!

Hey dude i noticed since you bought it you have lowered it and put some wheels on - you should definately put some tints on this thing. Wagons look awesome with dark tints cos there is so much glass. I rekon you should get real dark ones like 5%'s for the ultimate look (limo tint) or atleast 20%'s. My car has 5's on it and so does a mates legacy gt wagon and made his car look soo much sleeker. Good work with the conversion.
