Perhaps you should consider an avcr.

the boost is at 10psi then when i shift it goes back to 0 and starts to build again, takes a good couple of seconds to build up again, its really noticable, feels like there is a huge lack of power when you engage the next gear. only did it when i installed the controller. i have already removed it...
-
thanks guys, what a waste of money...
-
I will double check it all, its just that it only started when i installed the boost tee. Full boost till redline then shift and back to 0psi and then it climbs again.... without the boost tee it is fine, anyway to change this?, or is the controller just sh%t?

Hey today i installed a turbosmart boost tee directly between the ic piping and the wastgate actuator. At first i was pleased as it was reaching about 9-10psi by 3500 then holding till redline , so the gain had increased nicely. However when i change gear the next gear has no boost! and it has to build again... Any ideas on how to change this, why is the wastegate staying open during changes? it never used to. any help would be much appreciated. thanks

Lighting Solution For S2 R33?
R33silverS2 replied to Xizor's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
if you want blueness trust me the diamond vision will not dissapoint, i have them in my s2 and my bro has them in his s15. He even ditched his phillips blue visions straight after i installed my diamond visions cos mine had a much bluer tinge on the white light. Ironically the phillips 'blue vision'(s) didn't look very blue at all, almost standard looking. -

Phillips Diamond Vision work well, very very white / blue that is what i have. i think they are the most expensive though from the phillips range -
Why Are R32 Gtst's So Overpriced?
R33silverS2 replied to R-SPEC's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
That is JUST your opinion, Car manufacturers dont tend to downgrade there vehicles with a newer UPGRADED model. dont start either with rubbish about weight etc as it has been covered countless times. -

I have never been pulled over in my 33. Got pulled over more in my celica than 33. I think in terms of getting pulled over etc has a lot to do with where you live and therefore where you are driving around. I think at the time i didn't really care all that much about the legalities of the car, many of the cops around my area wouldn't have a clue, but as i said it was only for 6 mnths. big chrome wheels, stickers, burnouts etc will prob get you pulled over...

Hybrid Intercooler, Series 2 R33 + Power Fc
R33silverS2 replied to r33skylinegtst's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i have a hybrid gt spec on my s2, sits very nicely behind the standard bar. the bar itslef needs to be shortened a little depth wise on the intake and as said above the cooler pipes sit below the fog lights so a slight bit of cutting in required under there. looks very nice though, cos you can see the end tanks and the pipes under the fog / indicator assembly. -
just go out and test drive an r33 gts, and see what you htink for yourself, that will be the best way. I test drove one once, wasn't terriblly quick to be honest, but you should try one for yourself. As far as turbo's etc and p's a lot of people seem to frown upon it, but in reality there are heaps of p plate drivers with turbo's. I was one of them for about 6 months when i bought my 33, just got third party insurance which is what i still have now, cos even though i am off my p's the difference in pricing for insurance with that sort of vehicle is very negligable. Basically if your under 25 it don't seem to make much difference with insurance. with all of that said however, i still drove a 2.2lt manual celica na on my p's for about 2 and a half years till i got my line which was a good car to learn about driving in, and beleive it or not i still managed to crash that car with only its 100kw. albiet it was heavily raining and at a roundabout - aquaplane.... but still some rwd 200kw 33 could have made a much worse accident. just test drive some cars. A vtec would be a reasonable compromise.

Boost creep with new FMIC??? HELP PLEASE???
R33silverS2 replied to marcus's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
thanks, but the thing is i dont have a bleed valve atm, it is just running standard and reaching 10psi, my issue is that it reaches 10 psi just before redline, so basically what i would like to know is would a bleeder of some description enable me to reach full boost (10psi) earlier in the rev range? -
Boost creep with new FMIC??? HELP PLEASE???
R33silverS2 replied to marcus's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Sounds like but i don't think so, like i said the solenoid is totally disconnected, the line runs from the fmic piping to the actuator, the hose from the solenoid that used to be tee'd into this line has just been blocked off also. buggered if i know. still anyone know if a manual boost controller will give a net increase i.e increase all boost levels by a ceratain amount, or will it enable me to bring the earlier level up to 10psi and then hold 10?? -
Boost creep with new FMIC??? HELP PLEASE???
R33silverS2 replied to marcus's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but i have a question regarding manual boost controllers etc. My car has a pod, fmic, zorst etc, stock ecu all the usual bells and whistles. however, i have disconnected the standard solenoid, i.e running vac line straight from fmic piping to wategate actuator yet my boost still slowly creeps up till redline. the car runs 6psi till about 4500 then as if it had the dual stage connected it slowly increases with the rpm to 10psi by redline. My question is, if i install a bleeder / ball spring boost tee, will it enable me to increase the boost earlier on, as in reach 10psi quicker rather than it slowly increasing to it by redline? Or will it make both levels of boost increase, i.e if i make what was 6psi go to 10psi, will my 10psi go to 14psi? thanks -
Shell V-power Fuel - Anyone Tried It?
R33silverS2 replied to pixel8r's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I thought V Power racing / Extreme was not good for skylines due to the 5% ethonol blend. So is it ok for me to try v power racing? stock ecu, fmic, exhaust, pod, 11psi. -
I have a stainless steel turboback xforce and mine is quite loud, i noticed that yours appears to have an oval resonator on it, whilst mine just runs a hot dog style resonator, prob why mine is soo loud.

I did not like them at all. Most of the cars looked pretty average and the guy there was.... to say the least un-professional. Looked like he hadn't showered in weeks was in this crappy lil office with a broken air con and had that whole im gonna roll this guy for his money with a dud car look smeared all over his un shaven face. Wasn't a help either at all. Kamikazi motors is the goods, i got my car from the nunawading branch.

I am in the same position with the hybrid kit. Prob good to get it professionally done as the pipe is aluminium (on the hybrid kit) therfore requires TIG welding, which requires quite a bit of expertise. I am getting mine done tommorow from an exhaust place, hopefully it will fix my overboosting issues.
