hey this is a brief look at my install of a gt3076 onto a rb24 in s1 r33... cost.... turbo $1900 oil/waterlines $395 gaskets $70 new dump flange 10mm t3 spacer i got both the stainless dump flange profile cut from my old work (profile cutting> computer controlled plasma cutter) as well as the t3 flange in mild steel cost......carton of beer 4 inch silcon joiner $50 2inch to 2.5 inch silcon reducer 90 degree $70 4 inch to 3 inch reducer $40 4 inch 90 degree stainless bend $90 stainless flat bar and stainless 32mm id tube for new bov position. and dump pipe split $20 dollars scrap metal..... hose clamps $8 plus more vacum hose and a few other bits..... ok 1st off remove the turbo the new and the old ok once the turbo is off you must lock to nuts together and remove the stud becareful not to break them.i do about 1/4 turn then back the other way then go 1/4 more so like 2steps forward 1 step back ..helps to free them up.... test fitting.. note manifold clearance ....water and oil lines check it all looks good and where it should be:) you can see here that the comp housing fouls the manifold so yo must run a 10 mm spacer..hence removing the studs for longer ones.. ok this is the new dump flange, i cut the wastegate pipe hole myself ...holesaw nuthing special...remember cutting compound ... hole cut.... oil line fitted water line test fit finished water line test fit the new intake (will eventually be all tig welded and flowing better should have brought a q45 AFM another angle starting to come together ok cutting up old dump pipe only 4 weeks old..... lol ok this is where i got before the mozzies took over and it was time to call it a day update 8pm tomorow with completed dump pipe and better instructions and any problems i had... more to come

hi am am installing a new turbo tomorow and need to run a 10mm spacer so i need longer studs to bolt the turbo down...does any body know the thread size for the stud, the thread thats in the manifold its sel,f not the thread with the nut you tighten... would take one out as a sample but need the car to get to the shops... cheers if someone could tell me wether there is 2 types of thread on 1 stud , 1 end for manifold 1 end for the nut to tighten turbo down... both thread sizes would be sweet cheers

yeah i will.. i have seen some dodgy wiring by those sort of stores....i got a good spot in mind for the main alarm box...hard as fu(k to get too lol.... cant wait for keyless entry ....no more getting wet in the rain....my pet hate is putting wiring through the fire wall hate it hate it hate it....lol wires pokeing out the door trims....where have i seen that before...... hmmm... OH my 1st car lol i am guilty of doing that little short cut...lol..works till your door squashes the insulation off the wire and becauce i was young and dumb ...no fuse.... you get 1 red hot peice of wire burning your door your dash all the way to the battery!!!... lol burnt the wire harness under the dash stuffed it all up.... lol learning the hard way ....

-
oh dear..... the car should be taken off you.....
-
hi well i would get it installed "professionally" but the only place to get it done here a well known for being HIGHLY dodgy i mean really terrible like twitching wires together then just tapeing them up....fire starter.....they have a bad rep even stereo installs ive seen speakers wired in out of phase....earths just jammed under a bolt ...no terminal or anything...so i am most definetly not paying hundreds for totall amatuers to destroy my wiring...i may be amatuer but these guys make amatuers look good... so if you want to help me thats great...but i have my reasons
