Hey guys, as stated my car makes kind of a rattle noise when i rev the car just a bit over idle but the noise goes away probably at 1700rpms. the engine sounds fine then it kinda goes *dud dud dud dud dud* but really fast, almost sounds like a bearing is gone in the cam cover. a freind of mine said he was looking at a gtr and the owner said the noise was fine. the car is a 96 rr33 gt-st. any thoughts? cheers

My revs certificate was faxed in at 830am on the dot and had it by 8:45am, after that i drove to the gold coast to pick up my baby.

Does it ever stall out on you at lights or pulling up somewhere and stopping? or just rough idle? i think there is a diy article on how to reset your computer idle and base idle, there are 2 different settings if im not mistaken. cheers mate

I was under the impression that garret gt35r's use the t4 flange? am i mistaken?

Yeah the t25g is a t3 flange but the 35r is a t4 flange which is why i dont want to buy a dump pipe to suit the t25 when im going to put a 35r on it soon.

Hey guys, i have a few plans for my r33 and hope to get 300rwkw out of it by the time i have finished. I'm doing the usual supporting mods, bosch 044, bigger injectors etc etc but i have a few questions. i plan to replace the t25 with a gt35r so rather then doing a full turbo back exhaust now, im going to just buy a 3.5" front pipe and 3.5" cat back as i see no point in buying a dump pipe to suit the t25 then buying another pipe to suit the 35r. so my question is, once i get the bosch 044, FMIC, bigger injectors, cams and everything is it ok to turn the boost up to 12psi until i can afford the gt35r and high mount manifold? will not having a bigger dump pipe cause excess pressure on the turbo or not? i just cant see the sense in buying some items twice so im trying to do all the supporting mods and then save to buy the gt35r, dump pipe, high mount manifold, waste gate all in one go. once i get the 35r fitted along with the dump etc i plan to run 18psi until i can afford a forged rebuild. does this make sense or have i got everything backwards? cheers

When mounting these kits is it necesary to cut my front bar or surrounding metal work? some people say i will need to cut the guts out of my bar while others say the kits fit direct on without cutting anything. who is correct? i know ill have to cut a 3" hole to get the piping through but other then that how hard is it? i looked behind my front bar and there is a crash bar that runs from the top of the chasis to the bottom that looks like it will be in the way. will i need to remove this? if i dont it looks as thought the kit wont fit at all. cheers

well, failing that, could i trouble someone who has an r34 to take a quick picie of their condensor and someone who owns an r33 to take a pic and ill compare them? i tried to get a hold of nissan to confirm part numbers but they didnt ring me back.

It will almost be your AAC valve for sure. there is a DIY cleaning article for it in the diy section. it worked wonders for my car. cheers

Hey all, was just wondering if the air con condensor off an r34 will fit into an r33 gt-st or will it need modifications? i ordered one thinking it was for an r33 but it turns out its from an r34. anyone got any ideas?

I have the r33 gtr wing on my gt-st, does that make me elligable for the shame file too? honestly though, who gives a f*ck, if they want to paint it pink with purple pockadots then they can.

Its a slight buzzing or hissing noise but you can only hear it when the car is idling and i think it sounds pretty cool.

oh ok, i dont mind spedning abit of time and money fitting it myself and modifying it but i think ill need someone to help me with the wiring as to when the fans should switch on and off. also was it $100 for both the fans?

At the moment my r33 doesnt have a fan shroud even for the engine fan, dunno why just wasnt on the car when i bought it. i heard that davies craig are good quality thermo fans? i was reading up on the 2x14" vs 1 x 16" but didnt really get anything out of it. how did you make a shroud so now air escaped around the radiator? cheers
