How Long Did It Take To Install Your Just Jap Fmic Kit?
hayden49 replied to WTF-33R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
LOL I can see how someone can fail at fitting an intercooler kit, seeing as they go on a heap of different ways and all. we mocked everything up, cut the hole where the instructions said to and we still had to cut a 3" section out of the pipe going from the cooler to the intake plenum. And yes i had to cut the shit out of my front bar to make it fit but thats to be expected. -
How Long Did It Take To Install Your Just Jap Fmic Kit?
hayden49 replied to WTF-33R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thats why the kits are cheap mate, they dont fit for shit. Took a mate and i 6 hours + to fit my cheap brand intercooler. If i was going to do it again id save up for something that comes with stainless cooler pipes and uses the factory pipe positions. Cheers -

If its an atmo bov your putting on id throw it away and atleast buy a plumb back bov, your standard ECU wont like you running an atmo bov at all. If you must run a atmo bov plug the hole otherwise the engine will be sucking in un metered air. cheers

Climte Control Makes *knock Knock Knock* Noise
hayden49 replied to hayden49's topic in General Maintenance
When i was looking under the dash today, i noticed down the bottom of the air vent a little black electric box which looked like something that could be causing the clicking noise. If it is indeed that box thats causing trouble then it wont be hard to remove as is, ill try to get a pic of it. cheers -
haha nah mate, no ricey colours for me, simply painting them matt black. Painting them red, yellow, blue looks shithouse i think. matt black is the way to go. Might be easier for me to just paint them while they are still attached. cheers

Hey all, Today i want to remove my brake calipers so i can re paint them. I have removed the wheels already but before i start, i was wondering if anyone has a write up on how to remove the calipers? How do i remove the brake like from the caliper withouth pissing brake fluid everywhere?? Surely there must be a trick. On the back of the caliper there are 2 large bolts that look like they are holding the caliper onto the hub? If anyone can help me id greatly appreciate it. cheers

umm depends how technical you are. The parts themselves would cost next to nothing and building engines isnt exactly that hard if you have a guide or someone who knows abit about engines.
-
Better yet, buy yourself an RB30E bottom end, RB25DE head, slap those two puppies together add turbo goodies and have one awesome mutherf*cker of an engine with torque to boot. Just a thought....

hayden49 replied to kgangulw's topic in General Maintenance
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but i plan to replace my steering wheel with a new air bag item soon. I have heard to disconnect the battery as these air bags are electronically fired? In the event something goes WAAAYY wrong the air bag will not fire into my face? cheers -

ahh 170rwkw was just an estimate. I havnt had my car dynod as yet but i hav those mods and im also putting on a batmbl front/drump pipe soon with a 5" body cat. Haha pretty sure after i do that my clutch is sure to die a horrible death. The only reason i didnt think i had that much power because i raced a mates stock 180 running 10 psi and he beat me by 1/2 a car length. NOTE: race was conducted at appropriate race track
-
That dyno reading is a joke, my car has the exact same mods and it sure as hell does NOT have 210kw at the wheels. Somthing is wrong there. With those mods id expect about 170rwkw. cheers

Climte Control Makes *knock Knock Knock* Noise
hayden49 replied to hayden49's topic in General Maintenance
ahhh FFS! I was hoping i would just be able to take the dash facia off to get to the problem, removing the ENTIRE dash is waaay to much effort, ill just turn the music up loud when i turn the car on. Cheers -
LOl to all the people saying selling it and buy a 32. Yeah yeah sure, sell it and buy a R32 with only 75,000km's on it! Yeah never mind the steering wheel which disintegrates in your hands because its actually done 350,000km's or the host of other problems your likely to encounter. Sell it, buy a R32 and spend the $10,000 on generally maintaince just getting things working again. LOLOL i have a good laugh at people who buy R32's thinking they only have a genuine 70,0000 odd km's on them, what a joke! Pretty mutch every import has had the km's rewound. Like most people have said: Power FC + tune Full 3" exhaust suspension FMIC etc etc And enjoy your ride while people with 32's spend money just to get the car working as it should. cheers

After How Many Km's Should U Change Ur Fuel Filter
hayden49 replied to jetpilot's topic in General Maintenance
I agree with GTR chick, every 4000km's is a nice ammount. I just dont understand how people put off chaning their oil every 5-10,000km's. Its a $45 bottle of oil for gods sake, its cheap insurance, i keep my baby bathing in new motul every 3000kms. probably less if i involve spirited driving. cheers -
Why not? awesome car with an awesome engine? i love nissans and even i will admit that the 2JZGTE totally f*cking PWNS any nissan engine. 1000hp off standard internals? holyshit! They are awesome engines coupled with an awesome car.
