  1. Roy, no offence mate, but I always want more power, and don't race my car on a track..."well yet.. anyway" But my reason is simple... when I hit the gas I want it go as quickly as possible. C'mon... fella's how can rice be connected to KW @the wheels?, I thought rice was all about sparkley's, firecrackers, big shiny stickers, neon's in & outside of the car, and basically a higher % percentage of SHOW compared to GO? The only car that could even come close to being a KW rice mobile "aka Dyno Queen" is that blue BMT S15, that make something like 480kw @the rears, but only produces boost between 7500-9000... EDIT: also.. this BMT car does a 13'sec qtr mile now that funny.
  2. Does anyone know a someone selling/trading in a Silver R34 GTR in NSW?? The reason I ask, because a dealer I know said he is in negotiations to purchase this car from NSW, and I wanted to find out if any of you guys new anything. Cheers.
  3. CODE 45 - ha?? I guess then someone needs to go and eat his own words.
  4. DAMN SST.... how things seems to sway off the topic, with your personal attacks anytime you and SK have post in the same thread!! Have I missed something, coz I'm over it??
  5. it's hard enough trying to make a gtr look like a sleeper, but I'd prefer the stock look and spend the dosh on go factor. PS: I like your wheels, but with a plate like JETT, you'd wanna make sure it was
  6. I'll probably get flamed, but that colour is the ugliest thing I have seen... reminds me of the ford probe "chamellion"... excuse me for a moment as I throw up.
  7. Hi Lawrie, there are plenty available.. around $300~ is about the going rate for a set of 6. I know "r31koop" has a set, which were off my Series3 GTR for sale in the Classifies section. And there are a few for sale on ebay aswell.
  8. but I'll take your word for it...franks. I use to own an MY00, as awesome as it was, it doesn't come close to my GTR, infact comparing them, makes my old WRX look like a 4door corolla with a blower attached. But, it sure was fun whilst it lasted. Had it for a year and a half and lost nearly $20K, from new when I sold it I looked at upgrading to the MY01, but what a dissater the MY01 was, I'm suprised it's even called a WRX. You couldn't even feel boost coming on, and it felt like the car was having an atshma attack. The thing I found with my old one was how zippy and good it was point to point in traffic, downfall was it had no legs. After the zorts was done, I use to receive a letter from the EPA "fortnightly" , well just about anyway, got sick of EPA testing a sold the biyatch...best move we made I reckon.
  9. uuumh! wasn't the rex first released in ~94?
  10. Roy, I had this convo with a mate the other day, about the MOTEC when he had it fitted to his STi MY03. He said although being one of the best tuneable ECU's on the market, they were more suited to a race car than an everyday car. That's why he got rid of it. They were tempramental to climate changes~"which sounded weird to me". But also they required alot more tuning time than others ECU's. I'm also pretty sure Ben from Racepace has a MOTEC on his GTR, and if I recall correctly, he is forever continuosly tuning his car...
  11. David, when you go see the boys about my pump have a chat to'em, they pretty straight up with you. Do they have to install the Power FC aswell as a tune?.. really I can't see them spending more than 2hours tuning your car, the only headaches that cause extra dyno time are if an issue is spotted whilst the car is on the dyno eg: misfiring etc etc... But you should be right.
  12. This is interesting, and I am all for a free flowing exhaust... BUT my GTR with the HKS GT2530's and everything that goes with, makes the same as others with the same mods. However I don't have aftermarket dumps and I'm still using the stock cat, the rest of my exhaust is aftermarket. Yep! I'm still using the standard "big time restrictive dumps"... well so am I. There's the argument that: - split dumps are better because they split the gases - then you have HKS split which are only 150mm long "similiar to CES splits", but this is apparantly not effecient, and some will say you need the TRUST combined front pipe & split dump where the split meets around 400mm down rather than 150mm like the HKS. - then you have companies like mines who have a dump with no split just a big muther opening.. - then you my tuners tell me save your dosh because the gain on dumps is very minimal, based on dyno testing. still  ..hmm so am I ! Didn't mean to throw this at ya.
  13. Well if takes Subaru 14years to build a car that makes you happy!! Good for you... "14years too late" As funky would say: WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF TWO DECADES AGO You're comparing an R32 gts4 to a WRX??? dollar for dollar compare it to a R33 GTR "but you really don't have to go that far, you could compare it with a GTsT 33 at half the price"...then tell me what makes you smile. But yes, the boxer note is a beautiful sound, which can be deceiving and be confused with power
  14. Sounds about right... If your like me every little detail needs to be addressed, and it's quite common for a car to be tuned on more than one occasion.. so allow for it. Just hope you don't have a MOTEC ECU, coz you can easily tripple/quadruple that figure of $400-500 for tuning time. GTR's being tuned on a 2WD dyno need to allow for time/cost to remove the front driveshaft, so add that to your figure aswell.
  15. Not sure how serious you are, but I was speaking to mate this evening, who's knows of a few R33 GTR's in the Wholesale Motor Trade going for $29-35K... PM me if your interested. some of the prices of cars were ridiculous, eg:... VY Series 2 HSV Clubsport 260kw in a blue/black, $30K 2003~ Audi S3 $39K ... and many other bargains...
  16. Anything for a Series Lip So I suppose I'm in, which goes without saying then Ha!!!
  17. Amaru, not sure if this helps, but I noticed my torque split playing around when... 1) After filling my tyres with Nitrogen (set to 37psi) the torque split to the front was more than normal, and sometimes constant. 2) Uneven tyre wear from the front & rear 3) different wheel/tyre size front & rear
  18. funniest thing was his MPH... .. imagine telling your mates you ran 10.2 @ ~90MPH.
  19. andrew: hopefully I'll see you there next week. SLY: wow 11.9, I think that car has a chip & and changed supercharge pulley. Yeh my 60ft time was wacked because later I found out I broke the line and the time started, but me was still sitting there "having a fag, talking to the misses on the mobile ;)" waiting to go!!... I wonder if benm will let me add my slip to his collection?? Now that should be something. I had a great night, something about the colour YELLOW, that yellow Monaro was f*&king awesome, that YELLOW rotary RX4 that nearly lost it on the track, bresciani's YELLOW VL blowing his "I think TURBO"..
  20. we decided not to run it, coz didn't wanna look like tossa's. But after seeing the 2 mercs "S600 (13.0) & E55 (12.4)" there last night, we might take it next week.
  21. Saw you run... very impressed, what have you done to it, looked like you were moving hard! What was your MPH?
  22. Hi SLY, it was my first time.. so i'll put it this way.. my 60ft was 6sec "yes 6~sec", my time was 15~sec "yes 15~" the car was misfiring the whole way, and I did 112mph. hopefully we'll go again next week, and bring the some other cars along aswell... Now just need to find someone who can friggin drive [looks arond]
  23. NO COMMENT
