  1. Inark you must be holidaying in Queensland , coz here in Melbourne it's looking real grey & cloudy with a South Westerly moving in fast.
  2. In that case Ash, do you mind being our Rob Gell for the day, and keeping the less fortunate upto date ... As far as going tonight! I'll hold my peace "forever" in case I jinx myself again like last friday
  3. Merlstar is correct, the series3 have 1 fog & 1 reverse... but mine doesn't have different coloured indicators..something rex hunt there! I only noticed the 2 (not 4) brake light thing about a month ago.. but I guess there's the brakes light on the spoiler aswell.
  4. That good news.. but surely if you asked the copper politely he would have let you throw in a couple of uppercuts to the jaw . PS: Hope the cop didn't give your car and EPA whilst you were with him ???
  5. I have attached the dyno sheet. The 3 test are as follows: 1) fuel check This test is done without any fuel catalyst, with the cars fuel system returned to stock 2) big red check Nige decide to call this test Big Red, coz the unit looks like a uranium bomb. This is the apparnent top of the range unit "Top Fueller" retailing for $1200. see pic below. It is supposed to handle upto 1000hp. 3) AFC Tune This test was done using the B40 unit retailing for $500. I'm not too technical on the dyno graph reading etc etc, but on the advice of the boys, we concluded the unit had no real effect as claimed by the manufacturer. I fairness to the monufacturer, they did say give the car around 3-5000Km and see if there is any difference without the unit...
  6. I'm interested to see a dyno sheet of a GTR with the GT-SS turbos... does anyone know of one floating around? I mean I could wait for the Merlstar, but all this talk is getting me excited and starting to be alittle impatient
  7. Allright... we did a some runs tonight on ICE's dyno. And sure there were a few "ok! maybe alot" of laughs about these "Stealth B52 Uranium Bombers"..and with possibly goods reason. It was best to be sure and dyno the units, than assume the hard to prove "seat of your pants feel".. We tested all the units within a 2-3hour period tonight, doing around 4-5 runs per test with about 15-25minutes between each procedure, nigel was also wearing his "ear phones" to monitor knocking, and "just in case his girlfriend called to say dinner was ready" . The test we did were: 1) Broquet B40 (retails $500 fitted) Unit connected between the fuel filter & engine to manufacturers specs. 2) Broquet Top Fueller Competition (retails $1200 fitted) Unit connected between the fuel filter & engine to manufacturers specs. 3) Non of the above, back to stock standard fuel line. A couple of things, we generally spoke about, were maybe these units don't have the same effect on cars pushing higher HP running Premium ULP. In our tests it failed to show any conclusive difference, and we decide to return the car back to normal. I will upload the graph tomorrow.
  8. That should be easy to answer..... "Coz ferni's car is toooo fast! he left everyone else behind"
  9. thanks lucien, I have a picture of the mines R34N1 where my wedding photo should be :). We concluded a number of thing from those threads... It's unlikely MINES would fully disclose the actual parts/mods list. One thing where are led to believe is that the R34 uses R33 GTR Diffs for the lower gearing coupled to the 6speed box, which enhance's it's response. Only by watching the vid is it possible to explain how unbeliebably "FAAAST" the Mines car revs through the range. Yep, there the guys... Custom Carbon -- http://www.customcarbon.com.au/default.html
  10. Very good point SS8_Gohan, "something I'd like to do on the next car". And as comparison, the cost to get 260-280kw at the wheels from a GTR is minimal, exhausts, computer and some boost. probaly $2500-3000. The next stage, like what I have done will get you 310-340kw at the wheels and wil cost an extra $11-14,000K. Some might say why only an extra 40+KW? which doesn't really explain the power benefits, because the power gain is everywhere in RPM range and not just the top end. In hindsight, you could save the $11-14,000K, and spend it on weight reduction/suspension. I think with that sort of money you should easily loose 200-300kg, by replacing stock panels with carbon fibre. I spoke to someone who plans on doing a similar project with an R32 GTR, who got a quote from that carbon mob in sydney/or queensland "forget exactly" to replace the bonnet, front bumper, front guards, rear boot, and door with carbon fibre for around $7-8K. The beauty is you can paint them to look stock... just not sure about safety & ADR.
  11. are these the "Chinese" made turbo's, which I also believe are for sale on ebay? If they are..! I remember seeing a thread about these, and slightly recall some negativity to their quality & reliability.
  12. Forget the show, Save your dough, And make it Go!
  13. ooops! sorry, I missed that one!
  14. GTR's need same size wheels all round.. otherwise the ATTESSA kaks itself. So your Rays Engineering aren't ideal for a GTR.
  15. Steve, RWD or 4WD Dyno?
  16. Firstly, can I ask whether you're planning on upgrading your turbo's..assuming this is for a GTR? Coz the stock AFM should see around 280-300kw at the wheels before they max out "voltage wise". Secondly, the Nismo's units are a straight easy fit, compared to the Z32 AFM, which require new plugs and in some cases, minor mods.
  17. Steve & B1, any specific instructions on these DIY grounding kits??
  18. I'm sure the globe serial number is located on the plastic cover of the headlight in the engine bay. Whether they suit or not?? I don't know, the companies I listed have 1800 numbers give them a call and they shoudl tell you or vist their site.
  19. I just bought one for my gtr.. cost was around $230 per globe. See HELLA or NIRVA.. I think Bursons was the cheapest. Remember they all come out of the same factory "OSMAN~ I think"
  20. Exactly like EVL R33 said... See this attachment for basic rundown on costs to get you around 500+hp at the fly.. Ofcourse the next step is engine rebuild, which is only limited to your wallet. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...132&postcount=1
  21. spend a little more +negotiations and you can have this BANG FOR YA BUCK!!! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=44023
  22. 1) Maybe try www.Autospeed.com, I know they have an adjustable gadget that controls torque from the front to rear. 2) As far as making drifting a GTR.. sure it's not as easy as a RWD, but it's as simple as popping the clutch, and alot more easy to control than a RWD. But of all GTR's the 32 is this easiest with it's known rear wheel bias. I agree with INASNT, start stuffing around with something that's designed for one thing can't be good. Most guys looking for a RWD option on GTR's are draggers, who switch to RWD to wam the rears before a run, the back to 4WD to launch.
  23. Maxx, where did you get the oil filter from, and what was the cost?
  24. I'm sure ther's a search button here somewhere?????????????? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=44036
  25. Is it true you need to bleed the fuel lines if you change the fuel filter?
