If you decide to go for the trust front pipes, I might buy some aswell with ya. Dunno where you plan on getting them from, but Brent from Nengun has them for around $1100-1200 landed, Maybe he'll do us a better deal for 2 sets? I'm waiting for ICE to do some final touches to tuning, then I'll take it. Also waiting for a mate to finish his STI 03, should be pushin 250kw at all four, so we can run em. PS: I want to run to my cousin who's got the new Suzuki GSX-R 1100 or 1000 "dunno the exact model" he reckons it does flat 10's?? would they let us run with a bike? Vspec, (or is that Dean? from UPI) Weren't you running these turbo's on one of your GTR's? considering jack's situation what would you recommend to fix the problem?

That's an insult! We can't any of that laguage on the forums. Ronin, Please take that remark back or edit you thread... The only Audi A4 options INSANT has is the RS4 (if he likes driving a wagon) or the S4 Twin turbo.. either way there quick but nothing spectacluar like an M3... while we are at it, what about a C36 AMG 4door?

"Jack" said: > Not a Bad effort??? You're kidding me right! that's awesome jack, well done. To add salt to the wounds, I take it this was on street tyres aswell. With the 8K launches, what sort of Clutch/Flyweel are you running? I've noticed since I fitted my Ogura Twin Plate and Lightened Flywheel, normal driving off the line is so much easier, and it doesn't bog down. I could be wrong, but wouldn't some cam options help with the lower to mid power? Either way jack, you've got (11sec) bragging rights.. gotta be happy with that

That's great Robo, I'm really suprised how quick the GTST's are..even in fairly stock form.. Well done. Megs, that wasn't jack was it? if so that's fantastic.

Chris, I'd prefer not to go into too much detail, but as I was prepared to by the car "and got stuffed around including my mechanics, we where waiting for about 2friggin hours for ross to show up then he rings and says it's sold to a car dealer", I spent a number of days making sure it was the real deal. And found out it was very far from it.

Single plate clutch for R33 GTR options?
meshmesh replied to ferni's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
ferni, I think you'll find some used twin plates still in very good nick, from some of the local used parts suppliers for around $800-1100. As far as a single is concerned..uhm?? I wouldn't even bother, my old clutch was just holding on with the same amount of power you have now. At least with the twin's you can rebuild them, and again I think I know someone that has a nearly new HKS Twin plate for $1100~ I can ask for if you like. -
All up and fitted around $2000. That extra conversion kit Brent is talking about can be bought directly from Nissan Australia. That's where I got mine from, total cost was $350.

Agreed, but to confirm & clarify... this car does NOT have an N1 Block.

I Love it... Makes me feel like a man Yes it only rattles when you push the clutch down, and obviously during gear changes. (whether this is called disengaged or not I dunno) Just let me know when you wanna go for a ride.. the car should be at ICE either saturday or next week some time.
-
Yes! PS: that makes feel a whole lot better now, knowing I'm not the only one who's confused between OS Gikens & ORC Ogura

Don't laugh guys, but the boys from OWS oils have given me a Fuel Catalyst to try, and this is claimed to do a number of things. 1. Reduce Pinging by increase the octane in the fuel 2. Reduce exhaust temps by half 3. Increase fuel economy 4. Allow you to advance timing 5. Increase throttle response This unit is also claimed to be used by ProDrive UK in there Suby's and the Rally Cars. I've had it in the car for about 5days now, and we'll be putting it on the dyno with the week to check the results.. However so far, I've noticed a few things: 1. Throttle response seems better 2. Via my Apexi Power FC Hand Controller, my Knock levels are definately down by as much as 15points in some cases. 3. I'm no tech wiz, but I think it also leans out the fuel  if this is true why are my Knock levels down? 4. My GTR runs pretty rich, and my muffler sits a little close to the rear bumper, after a week I usually have to clean it close my white bumper turns cloudy. So far, my bumper isn't half as bad as it normally would be. 5. Fuel savings... I normally get between 16-17ltr/100km, yesterday I filled up & got an average of 15ltr/100k?? Same routine driving, so nothing out of the norm. Don't take my word for it until we throw it on the dyno, but so far things look good. Maybe this could help your pinging issues "along with many other things eg: timing, boost etc", especially if you have bad fuel in your area.

Hi ferni, Not sure if I'm reading this wrong or not, but my clutch is an ORC Ogura Racing Twin Plate - Push Type Clutch. Either way, I'm rapt with it. Especially the sound of the rattle. Just got to get use to the take off's, gets a bit embarrasing sometimes.

Jack, I'm taking my car into ICE either this Saturday or Early next week (just waiting for the boys to let me know), see if you can have your car there the same time. To add a bit of spice to the showdown, lets put a wager on it "Winner Shouts".. in that case I'll have a bottle Chivas Regal Royal Salute, an espresso & maybe some dessert if you don't mind thanks

[REPORTER] Governer is it true that our Australian Allies give good head? [ARNIE] Yah, It whoz great he tarminated me. [LT JOHNNY] Dah, Dah, hahaha, I swear "It wasn't me", haha.

what about Rare Spares in preston? Dunno if they're still there or not, but they use to be the biggest stockest of rubbers etc..

Don't want to start a punch on between meggala/smootline & me, but sure euro's aren't cheap to maintain when parts go, but if you add up how much most of us have spent on our jap "rolls royce's" I think you'll find the euro's are quite cheap & cost effective. *CONDITION APPLY: So long as servicing is done outside of the Euro Dealers.

damn!!! you guys are hard on the boy! If you're doing a direct deposit tranfer, just do it via your netbanking and then send Brent an emal with your receipt & order number. If you choose to tranfer the funds from your credit card or savings etc etc that's up to you.

So did I??? I got confused between OS Gikens & ORC Ogura's do'h me! I got it from japan.

I just installed my ORC Racing Ogura Twin Plate on my R33 GTR.. these clutches are a push type & the R33 box is a Pull type. So whilst I was installing the new box & the new clutch we needed the adapters to convert the box from pull to push cost $350 from Nissan for genuine parts. But damn, this cluch and flywheel make such a difference it's amazing. I believe these have the lightest flywheels at around 4kg's and you can tell too. The revving is now so linear and smooth, I actually feel boost comming on ~500rpm earlier. As far as embarrasing moments.. well hey I'm getting use to em, after 2days it's getting easier, the clutch pedal is not bad at all "I dunno what everyones on about how hard they are" in fact it's feels quite normal, maybe a tad harder than the standard pull singles. But definately feels tight and sure. These are also serviceable, so if the clutch dies, you can rebuild them for ~$1000. But the best thing I have to say is that sound... it's freaks everyone out, when you engaged the clutch the Rattle is awesome, cars next to you look and think "what the?" I love rolling all my mechanic mates who claim to be the be all and end all of performance tuners. I'd go past and see'em and tell them to listen to this sound and tell me what it is as I'm worried about it.. they all say "definately your thrust bearing is gone!!" get's em all the time. Amatuers..

i think we should all plan a 10-15minute interval hit of the phone lines on the above number.. and concuss the fu(k out the cops.. but nowadays the vic cops not only make ther moola from speeding fines & prostituting themselves to bracks, their also making some "key-ash" on the side for themselves.. so maybe we need to have an SAU fund, where we could donate to their well being so if anyone displaying an SAU sticker gets off scott free
-
Yeh it's been sold to Grn tourismo... It was supposed to be heading to ICE this morning poor Gerald I made him wake up early, he was going to check it out for me. Fate has it's ways & probably for the best. The car is definatley not what the ad says it is.
-
the beauty of the Apexi Power FC... all I do now is, go to my settings>rev/idle>revlimit and bring the biyatch right down to 3000-3500rpm, just enough to drive it, without hitting boost. Then I rip the HC out and take it with me. The funniest thing is getting a call from whoevers got the car, and they feel all guilty and bad, and tell you "for some reason your cars not revving over XXXrpm, etc etc???" Keeps them honest.

Looking on the bright side of things, I'd bet my chances on NOT getting pulled over in the XR6 T Ute, than if I were in the Skyline. But can the XR6 take corners?? Either way, apparantley these ford straight sixes are awesome, I have a mate who's building one of these in a 64~Mustang, they're plan is to get Low 10's, and hopefully in the RH-Nines.

WTB: APEXI POWER FC+H/C & APEXI BOOST KIT FOR R33 GTR
meshmesh replied to GT1's topic in Wanted to Buy
Hi George, Mubrook on your new car. Brent from nengun has got the Power FC & HC for $1100 delivered. That's a champion price, I doubt you'll get it that much cheaper. PS: I'm not sure why you want the Boost Controller kit, the apexi unit has 1 solenoid and I've been told it will struggle with the twin turbo set up. I went for the HKS EVC 4 instead... perfect-e-mondo!
