still a little  -
Here are the spec of the mine's car... マインズオリジナル = Mines - Thanks to the Merl'star
-
See below a quote from Rezz, when I asked whether the reduction in weight could really reduce the mines gtr, by 250kg...
-
Firstly after reading the magazine article.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/fo...ead.php?t=28936 got me keen in following mine's spec with my 34 when it arrives late this year. I started a thread some weeks ago.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=31827 & got a little help but not much. Some things I found out were, Engine: is not stock, all the internals are lightened & strengthened, bore is the same. Boost: 1.4kg/cm2 "I think this is around 30pound" but temember reading they used 34pound" Some things you missed: Carbon fibre proppellor shaft Total weight has been reduced to 1300 kg :wow: Overall they claim around 630~hp. I've think that the mines car is "claimed to be the most standard" & other brand name cars are unrealistic for day to day driving. In the latest HPI mag they have an article about brand names fighting for time trial "nighthoods", best times = sales $$. Anyhow here's the link to the mines N1 gtr: http://babelfish.altavista.com/babe...tr%2Findex.html

Rigo who ended up buying these rims? Someone on the forum? -
Ideally it would be nice if this thread could become the be all & end all of GTR CLUTCH Solutions... So here's hoping. After doing a search resulting in some 166posts dating back when Australia was founded, & yet no real solution, I post this hoping for a simple solution for all. My problem is finding a clutch for the R33 GTR, apparantley some model 33 gtr are similar to 32gtr & then some 33 clutch work with 34's, some are push & some are pull.. WTF is the difference? Some say push is cheaper than pull, Nismo Clutches are straight fitting, OS Clutches need modifications.. who knows. Heres a table, maybe someone can fill in the blanks.. (please state whether it's push, pull, twin, triple, ceramic, whatever else you can think of) R32 - <200rwkw R32 - <300rwkw R32 - <450rwkw R33 - <200rwkw R33 - <300rwkw R33 - <450rwkw R34 - <200rwkw R34 - <300rwkw R34 - <450rwkw Also: What clutches fit what models? eg: does the 32 fit a 33? or a 33 fit a 34? Thanks meshmesh

Japanese parts - English instructions?
meshmesh replied to Gts-t's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
http://www.greddy.com/tech.asp I have the full pdf of the TTimer it's 3.5Mb which you download or I can email it to you. The rest may have try the above site. -
I have 2 pics of GT2530's, but they both have different actuators - see attachment. I was told that HKS have released an update in the GT2530, which is the one with the HKS logo on the actuator, is the correct? Or are can you option the GT series with different actuators & if so what's the diff between these two.

I read a history somehwere about the M spec, had something to do with the guy who replaced one of the GTR engineers, & his name started with "M". After driving the Vspec, he hated the ride so much that he redesigned the suspension for smoother street handling and some other luxuries. I dont think there were any real performance benefits. I could be wrong?

278 kw @ wheels standard turbos and internals R34 GTR
meshmesh replied to jezzrrr's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
steve & jezzrrr you never mentioned what boost you guys ran? I't would be good to see the dyno, & your af ratios also.. ps: steve... so touchy mate :relax: like you say, we here are probably just a bunch of keyboard warriors no hard feelings... it makes for a good comparison when we can compare apples with apples....! not dyno queens running 20psi on stock turbos, with af ratio's bordering detonation... that's all..! -
try a company called "petroject" [spelling] or something like that maybe in melbourne.. they may be able to help.
-
without sound like a lame a$$.. it's obviously not a simple yeh mate I'll take the 600x300x115 bar & plate, 1 in tube & fin grilled please with some tartar sauce & lemon thanks  .... Sydneykid's has just confused the daylights out of me... all I want is an intercooler solution. The figures of "40 lbs of air per min @ 21 litres of i/c & pipework" has lost me totally. Im estimating around 300+kw @ all 4wheels on the gtr.. "if boost pressure comes into this formula, I would say ~1.2 -1.3bar" but then... 1. what size cooler? 2. brand? as each maker claims there name to fame eg: pressure drops, flows etc. 3. do i need new piping "?lbs pm @ ?litres of pipework"

278 kw @ wheels standard turbos and internals R34 GTR
meshmesh replied to jezzrrr's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Will do. Yes I'm hangin, cant wait! I'll be rapt if i could run a flat 13 After that I think my next option is FMIC & Water Injection. A mate who has a street 10sec falcon 250 Xflow, on straight gas swears by water injection, so we'll see for $400~ he reckons it's the best "unknown to many" insurance policy you'll spend. PS: Sorry jezzzr to hijack your thread. Suppose this could also help you, with your little boy "now that you're a dad" -

meshmesh replied to jezzrrr's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Funny you say that! Spoken to varous people with varying opinions  I'm About to go the next stage.... Just picked up my turbos today HKS GT2530's, Waiting for my SARD 700cc injectors, 044 fuel pump, HKS EVC 4 & Z32 AFM's. Asked my mechanics about the dumps & they reckon stick with the stock as they saw no real gain on the dyno..still confused. As far as the cat, I've been told the gtr cat are pretty good flowing, & mines probably half blow out . So dunno? thought about those ces dumps, but dunno if its worth it. Also will dumps for the 33 fit on the 34 later down the track? -

meshmesh replied to jezzrrr's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Wow!! That's alot of kw @the rears. What boost were you running? I'm really suprised & no offence a little sceptical at your figures. I hit 270kw at the rears on ben @ racepace's dyno in shootout with the following: Stock Turbos - ~15psi Apexi Power FC Cam Gears Full Exhaust (stock cat & dumps) HKS Pods I doubt the ecu is stock, have you checked it? -
Seriously people, dont you think enough is enough?? Each department reminds me of the World Idol judges, everyones trying to out-do each other with their ego's. One says this, the other says that... bla bla. Once & for all, is there a way where we could perhaps confirm what is & what isn't acceptable. Like VO5 - "it wont happen straight away, but it will happen" when you get that letter!
-
James I've got a stock air box & stock ecu if you need a lend of it. You'll Just need to source the filter for the box. Are you serious the PFC is not allowed?? if so why?

If I remember correctly, MINES_DATSUN ordered the HKS Camp, or the R34 GTR Screen. Seeing he won't be needing it now, maybe PM him & offer him $$. But I'm guessing he's changed his user ID, maybe put a post up something like "calling all user ID's formerly know as MINES_DATSUN", & see if he responds.

1. Best ford V8 Engine Builder I know, is Gene Cook in Tullamarine. Helped design the XR motors, & builds for NASCAR, AUSCAR, Even has touring car engineers seeking his opinion. 2. Dean from UPIMPORTS used to own a ford wrecking coy, he may be able to point you in the right direction.

Know anyone that insures R34 GTR (1999) Vspec???
meshmesh replied to swoop's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
CLK430 (Value $140K) - RACV $1900 PA E55 AMG Supercharged V8 (Value $240K) - RACV $1400 - Yes "That's what I said - $1400" she replied "sir we'll send you a check for the difference"... I couldn't believe it!!, but happy to receive the $$$rebate. So exotic performance, I'd consider the E55 as exotic & not the CLK430, but thats the way the insurance coy's see it who cares The R34 GTR are in a league of their own. I didn;t have any problems with Just Cars in Victoria regarding a quote on the R34. Whether that had anything to do with all our current policies with AAMI, I dunno. We also had a GTR R33 insured with Heath Lambert but I'm going back oooohh "1998-99" I say Swoop, if you worried about the insurance & can't get it... sell it! to me - just kidding, any colour except black.. -
