The main use of Engine power would be for motor-racing sports where they may be limited to enhine hp. How they get it to the ground & minimise loss, is another question?? Sydneykid, Not sure if this is the case or not but I'll assume so... if Touring cars & some motorsports categories are restricted to "Engine power eg: 650hp" then it's to their advantage to minimise loss of power to the wheels.. You're talking about heat & Newtons theory, how can you minimise loss from fly to wheels? PS: Thanks for the PM, ordered the GT2530's, might stick with stock dumps, some think there's no real benefit.

hi L 33, try this http://www.metalmesh.com.au

I really think the drivetrain loss is irrelevant, because the power we want is at the wheels and this is where it "consistantly counts". I also think its more equal in measuring comparative result. Unlike at the fly/engine readings [insert sarcasm here] we need to be Einsteins' = fly divided by ~drivetrain loss % X hp to the square of ~0.00dg celsius... etc etc Who cares!!! just get it there please

I believe... "support those who support us!" Brent from nengun supports the forum financially. Have greenline done the same? Yes I agree brent can be slow in replying to your emails "occasionaly", but are you looking to buy there and then on that day? Normally brent replies within 24hours, I think once in ten times he take a little longer. So what!!!

Jamez, still sourcing the pic for you. However just noticed, mine only lists 15" & 16" tyres?? GTR's come stock with 17"?? WTF Merli: Can't see the pics, could you make them any BIGGER -

Mark, Thanks for the info about the SARDS. I Just found out that SARD are discontinuing the single spray & now have a Brass Pintle Cap Dual Spray in the 650cc, 700cc & 850cc for the RB26DETT. It apparantkey specifically designed fot multicams??? Do you think there's any real difference, coz they reckon rather than a large single spray the dual splits the spray, spraying it directly into its path?
-
Guys just wondering if there would be any issue running the "Apparantley" New SARD Brass Pintle Cap Dual Spray 700cc injector on the GTR (with the Power FC) compared to the "now to discontinued" Standard SARD 700cc single spray. I'm no tech here, but apparantley the dual sprays will now take over from the old single sprays. They are also supposed to be design specifically for overhead multi cam engines, splitting the spray into the seperate chambers?? Anyhow, will these work just the same as the common 700cc SARDS on the GTR with the Power FC?
-
I was being sarcastic, about the dog box & your idea of mods. Like most, Im on a budget also, & have to be realistic.
-
Great Idea, not sure about the dog box though ...
-
I heard the SARD 700's need some mods to be fitted.. what sort of mods? Reason is, I have an R33, & expecting my R34 GTR late this year, so I would prefer to swap my mods over from the 33 to 34 when it comes, & return the 33 "as" original as possible.

265/35/18- which tyres have a 94+ load rating?
meshmesh replied to Jamezilla's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Jamezzilla, I just checked my R33 GTR, It says along the lines...bla bla.."tyres fitted on this vehicle should have a maximum load rating of "NOT less than" 545kg or a load index of "NOT less than" 87 or a speed category of "NOT less than" "H" If you've got 93, I'd double check the cop isn't just a fly by time waster -
Mark, where did you get the pump from & what injectors are you using? did you end up sorting out PFC issue?
-
Not the factory Works upgrade. but at around $7K, brings the Cooper S, into STi range.. Hp goes up to around 210Hp... Your other option according to your criteria, is the Alfa GTV 146... I reckon you'll find em close to th 50K mark, even less for desperate.... Now that Aussie knowhow.. donk the biggest motor in the smallest thing youcan find. Only if they made the 4wd drive version

Now your talking! Talking about ugly, the clio sport , even worse french made cars... or even worse Ghosn GTR... or that new renault with the big butt. That butt better watch itself, coz I got a couple of boots coming it's way. I agree about the mini interior, creative but if it was half as the free flowing design of the outside it woulb be spot on. We could go one step further & following the design que of my next car....hurry up please "mr gaydon & mr silverstone", ive been waiting since december 02.

Inark, Are you going the "Works" upgrade.... I had one of these for half a day, preferred driving my old Clubman GT. The seating & driving position drove me nuts, the steering wheel reminded me of a mixture between dodgem cars & the school bus. Went pretty good for a daily runna-round nothing to exciting, but the handling... wow for a front wheel drive the thing was rails.. about the only thing I clearly remembered about the cooper s, that friggin handlig.. "excuse me whilst I go pull myself :D"

I think the issue with anything larger than Z32 afm's, is the modifications required.
-
Yeh, their doing the work me, rapt big time they're all awesome. Just wanted to see if others went this way.. Why Nizmo AFM's?? What sort of power are you making @ what boost? With the 720cc, any major mods? does going bigger effect fuel economy "not that I'm worried coz I only get about 300 out of tank 70%hwy" just heard it stuffs idle & economy.

Got breathalised recently, & my brake pads are apparantley "race brakes or hard compund somethin or other..." & tend to squeak on light load. "Bit embarrasing sometimes, but they work like nothing else" anyhow.. drive into the breath test area, my brakes are sqealing their heads off, & all the cops are checking me out. Cop goes, looks like you new brakes... (mind you their close to new), I go "oh, do you know much about brembo 4pots" he goes "4pots.. have you been drinking tonight, Sir?".. I looked at him, then my wife & said "I don't drink, I'm talking about my brakes, they are 4 four pot brembos" you dumb f#@k (didn't say the last bit out loud)
