Well ... the car is sort of sold to a mate who wants it later this year, once the 34 deal is sorted out. In the meantime we are contemplating just biting the bullet and giving her a pampering with the final (insert french accent) "piece di resistance" a nice full engine rebuild/overhaul.. numbers we're tossing around are in 400's, but who knows and who really cares... I guess, we'll aim to build it for more than we really want and use 70-80% of that, so long as it's streetable/reliable... and not really interested in drag/dyno queening. Cheers. So I guess this thread is officially closed.

Any idea on what they're worth??
-
Geez, that won't leave you much room for a decent backyard Unless you go outside the res code / council requirements, you wont need to advertise and have neighbouring properties object to your plans. Advertising is usually the case if you plan to sub divide or build multiple dwellings on a particular lot. Whereabouts is the farm?
-
Thanks for the interest guys, finally sorted it out this morning and it looks like it's more a headache than what it's worth, too much red tape & legalities, advertsing costs, court costs.. blah blah blah.. So we're just going to organise the council to pick it up and they can do what they want with. Cheers.

D.Chi... Nice avatar, looks exactly like our GTR ........ That widebody GTR is a forum members car, there's more pics and info in the for sale section. -
Dox, You're in the trade, why don't you just do it Owner Builder? Get an idea of the house you like, take your ideas to an Draftsman/ Architect (I know a gun but he charges a little more than others we use) and do the rest yourself. Dunno where the property is and what you plan on doing, but it should be just a matter of getting a building permit and not advertising. Your drawings, architecturals, working drawings etc should be around the 7-10K. If you need help, subies, materials, appliances, timber whatever let me know. With all due respect to those living in Spec Homes by major building companies, if your after quality I would avoid a spec home. Most of these companies have the highest warranty claims.

Hey all, We have had some to tenants do a runner job, and one of the many gifts they left behind was a Silver VK Calais/Berlina, yet to confirm. Legally, we still need to get through some paperwork, with the cops which will take ~28days. I thought I'd first see if someone wants it they can have it for free, you'll just have to arrange the pick up yourselves... so PM me or reply to the post. Dont ask for Roadworthies, coz I'll probably slap you... By the sounds of the car, it's not in show room condition and as soon as one of our guys goes out there I get him to snap some picks for me. Cheers

BNR32 GTR HKS EVC Pro problems, help needed!
meshmesh replied to BNR32's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
TG.. Have you had a chance to set the LEARNING Mode yet?.. I'd try that first before you start ripping the thing apart. Remember you need to first RESET the unit before you start the LEARNING mode... best to read your manual, as yours is newer than ours and may differ slightly. PS: Do it on the road & not on a dyno. Just find a nice "unsed" stretch of road (maybe near an airport) and test how much distance you need from start to stop. -
cheers george, I saw that and notified ebay yesterday.. PS: Lucky I knocked back your original offers before you bought your GTR, You could have bidded on it @7K and saved yourself about $40K

BNR32 GTR HKS EVC Pro problems, help needed!
meshmesh replied to BNR32's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
TG, I didn't change anything, just did a full reset as specified in the manual. A brief run down; 1) If I set the Boost to say 1.1bar, the boost reading would fluctuate between 1.2 - 1.3bar... eg: it would roughly spike around .2of a bar above the setting. 2) Check & Tried everything, the manual says if boost goes over your setting adjust it by either lowerin or increasing the OFFSET setting between 50-150 depending on whether your turbo is internal or external wastegate... In my case the GT2530's are Internal (I think, always confuses me) You also need to make sure at the back of the evc 3/4 (dunno what model you have) the switch which reads something like SW/PO or something is flicked to the correct setting depending on whether your turbo is internal or external. 3) Here's a post I postedup sometime ago when I worked it out see below... The problem was fixed after it turned out the evc needed a RESET & LEARNING MODE run. I basiclly followed the instructions as detailed in the EVC setup manual. The boost now holds/reads perfectly, and the OFFSET mode setting is spot on 100 where it should be. After the RESET & LEARNING MODE runs, I also turned off the AUTO ADJUST setting as specified in the manual which it recommends to do, simply by: Turn the Ignition to ON, holding the MOD button, flick the SW-PO switch > wait for the beep (still holding te MOD button) then return it SW-PO to it's original position and you should hear another beep. So if anyone is having issue with boost readings going over the set boost levels, and you cannot adjust your OFFSET any more (eg: 50 or 150 - like me) just do the above or refer to the manual. Hope that helps -

BNR32 GTR HKS EVC Pro problems, help needed!
meshmesh replied to BNR32's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
TG, The manual says the likelyhood of spiking can be caused by "dirty" filters. Your problem sounds a little similar to what happened with my EVC4 (aka EVC3 in Japan)... I tried everything from adjusting the "OFFSET" to it max and still no luck. In the end I did a full reset, as detailed in the Manual, On my way to work @around 5am in the morning I found a nice stretch of deserted road, and did my 3rd runs from 2000rpm.. and since then it's been perfect. -
Have a look at the nerve of some people, gotta laugh at this though! Some dodgy is selling our GTR with the sames pics and description on ebay :slap: Just hope some one doesn't get stooged. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...ssPageName=WDVW

believer, Don't quote me but I believe Series 3 GTR start from a build date from Feb 1997-Feb 1998~... Only around 1500-2000~ Series 3 were ever built. Then they started producing the R34. Cosmetic changes, like Red Inserts in the seats, red stitching throughout the interior (not pink thanks Gojira ), they have only 1 rear reverse light, and one fog light, Xenon headlights are standard. I also believe there is some structural changes, and Series 3 GTR's have better gearboxes.. Stand to be corrected. Hi Matt.. Cheers, PS I've seen you car run, it sounds awesome. Maybe we can work something out, you supply & fit the Whipple Chargers (x2) for our boat, and we can work out good price on the car... either way I'll be heading down your way early next week, I might pop in.

hmmm... I hate to say it for anyone captured regardless of race or religon but if you swim with sharks, expect to be bitten. These thugs thrive on this sort of publicity giving them everything thing they want.. "Any New Goverment that supports them" Look at spain, and unfortunately possibly Australia. (Can you tell I vote Liberal? ) You beat bullies by standing up to them! Saddam was good for one thing only...Controlling the wannabees.

An STi ?????????? Noooooooo! A mate of our has the o3Sti, he's spent huge $$$$ and any GTR with basic mods still eats his rex. I wouldn't bother with an Sti, same $$ if not more than a good GTR. Our Series 3 R33 GTR is up for sale..

can't see anything?? just the red [ X ] EDIT: OK I can see it now... thanks ausgtr... haha.. keyboard warriors I bet half their info is from keyboard warriors on the forums around the world. Funny thing is speed are no different to keyboard warriors, unless they're willing to put their money on their article... Would have been nice to see them slap themselves for that useless fuga/skyline article.

Wow.. thanks heeps for that INASNT. Didn't want you to go out of your way just for me....I really appreciate it and I'll keep it in mind for the future.
-
hmmm, that wouldn't be hard to find out whether this is true or not. If it were true, wouldn't there be some sort of "conflict of interest"... considering he has built a name for himself just goes to show the impact he has had on the community??
-
Ash, have you asked the boys at ICE?? Otherwise *cough* I hear INASNT has plenty of friends in the Police force & EPA , maybe he could help you out... by hiding down a laneway you bag them with a heshin bag and INASNT can give them his own version of a TMU/RWC inspection with his baseball bat that should at least help identify whether they have venting blow off valves attached to their a$$holes by the amount of sh!t stains left on the floor. END/kidding
