Hey Guys for people that havent been before, the LVMA is a Large Vehicle Maneuvering Area. Its a big concrete area, with a small hillclimb type area leading up to it there will be 3 timed motorkana events running simultaneously, and its an awesome day. here are the details DATE: SATURDAY 8th SEPTEMBER 2007 TIME: 8AM-12PM (4 hours) COST: $90 each CONDITIONS: 90 dB noise limit and no drifting i will also need 2 volunteers to time 2 of the events, there will be a free lunch in it for them will be accepting payments now, payment is the only way to secure a spot pm me for bank details 1. ok one of the guys has backed out as he has broken his car, so i have one skidpan spot left, and around 3-4 for the LVMA, get in quick! i will also burn a copy of a dvd of the day for everyone

sorry to say that the skidpan has been filled the LVMA still have a few spaces theres some info in the first post, but basically the lvma will have 3 events, a motorkana, slalom, and hillclimb these will be timed the meeting point is going to be at 7am for a 7:30am departure at the Logan Hyperdome, homemaker center carpark near spotlight

ok guys just letting everyone know (a few people have asked) helmets are NOT required, but you can wear one if you wish.

skidpan is full WE DEFINATELY NEED MORE ENTRANTS IN THE LVMA about 3-6 more people would be ideal let me know if you, or anyone you know wants to come!

i think its more of a practise thing, so that the drivers get a chance to warm up the lvma starts at 8:30, finishes at 12:30, skidpan starts at 12:30, goes to 4:30

Hey guys Just letting everyone here know that we (GtirOz & EvolutionOz) are holding an lvma/skidpan day at mt cotton on Saturday the 8th of July Anyone from Skylinesaustralia is welcome to to come along, just pm me if you are interested. There will be evos, gtirs, silvias, wrx's etc.... An LVMA is a Large Vehicle Manouvering Area. It is where Semi Trailer drivers are trained to handle their rigs, so its quite a large area. Usually there are around three events set up on it, a timed slalom, a timed motorkhana, and an untimed motorkhana on the training road. The skidpan is basically a figure 8 track which is sprinklered down with water, so you can slip and slide all you like, it really shows you the limit of your car, and can really help with your driving. The LVMA session will be in the morning, with the skidpan following in the afternoon. you can do either one, or both of the events. Location:- Mt Cotton Driver Training Center Date:- Saturday 8th July Cost:- heres some info from one of the organisers LVMA $1056 (no max participants but suggest no more than 24) SKIDPAN $1056 (max 12 participants) So assuming that we get around 15 people for the LVMA, it will be $70.40 per person And with 12 people for the skidpan, it will be $88 Noise Requirements:- 1. The Hirer acknowledges that all invitees and participants of courses are advised of the Centre's noise management regulations prior to the commencement of any activities. Participants or vehicles not meeting these regulations will be denied use of the facility. 2. Noise measurement: Engines to be measured as follows (in accordance with Australian Design Rule standards): i) 5 cylinders or less @ 4000rpm. ii) 6 cylinders @ 3500rpm. iii) 8 cylinders @ 3500rpm. iv) more than 8 cylinders @ 4300rpm. v) rotary engine @ 4500rpm.
