Finally heard back regarding my Anti Surge housing i didn't order. Ended up getting hold of him via Facebook. They will be back in stock mid August and he will be sending me a new one. Not sure if I should pay for the replacement and do a comparison between the 2 for the good of SAU

R33 Gtr Loss Of Boost When On A Long Drive
Crans replied to Booki's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Similar thing happened to my wifes WRX all of a sudden was only running actuator pressure a week later back to the normal 12psi. Suspect the stock solinoid had a fault give yours a good clean out and then send 12v through it an make sure its working -
Where can you buy stainless Steel NOR? Wanting to start building my dump pipe and cooler piping.
-
I meant warranty on the actuator
-
Wouldnt take too much effort to get that to fit. Would ruin warranty tho
-
Yeah it does have a little room to be moved out of the way but I used up the last on my metal cable ties on the manifold. Thinking i might have to take the manifold off again tho stupid nuts getting stuck on new studds. I cleaned them up nice but i should have bought new ones( Silly me assuming they come with the studds) Just hope i dont have to get more new studs now

Here is my manifold all wrapped up and on the car. Not too happy with the wastegate pipe sits on top of the air con lines. I have wrapped those lines in reflective heat wrap so hopefully there protected enough. Doing this again i would have ordered the manifold without a wastegate pipe and done it if the turbine housing. I might even get some heat shielding in there for a bit more peice of mind. Gate will also be sitting pretty close to the dump pipe

I have the NZ manifold. Did you get it with 44mm Wastegate pipe? How do you find its placement?

No responce via ebay yet, any one got this guys email address?
-
You ecu should be tuned for all load levels at all RPM levels. This will mean the tne is fine for what ever boost setting you choose.
-
I have sent him a message through ebay, hopefully he responds soon

Ok no way its gonna bend that far around. I will buy 2 shorter bolts one on the block with 1 copper washer. and the other one with a nut and 2 washers done up tight should do the job. I will email the guy now about getting the correct housing
-
yeah thats does sound like a winner. Ill see if i can bend it around enough. Yeah its one of the ebay ones. I got mine made up with 44mm piping for the wastegate, this makes things very close. Over all it is a good quality item.

Got my T67 today and have a few questions. It came with a 4" Anti surge compressor housing which i did not want i wanted a standard 4" Compressor housing. Will this matter that much? What is the best way to block the water lines? The shorter of the 2 (Water return??) I was simply going to find a bolt wth the same pattern but shorter and bolt it in nice and tight with a coper washer. Not sure what to do with the one that goes around the back of the block should i just cut it off shorter and fix a blocked off bit of hose on the other side? Or blank it off at the source, which im guessing is under the plenum? Any help is appriciated keen to get her back together, tonight i have connected oil feed(One supplied with the turbo is a bit long) and return. Finished replacing exhaust manifold studds. Also I have one of those NZ manifolds and i am not happy with the way the wastegate pipe comes out it is really really close to the body and air con lines. Should i modify this pipe or just blank it off and run the gate off the turbin housing?
-
HF start or scratch/lift start?

There not looking too bad at all. What welder did you get? Did a trial run today on modifying a turbine housing and connecting a waste gate to it. We did not pre heat or slow cool the cast housing on this trial, but we will be doing it properly when my new t67 arrives this week. There are a few cracks, but mistly after griding it down i can see it welded ok, will be better with the proper pre heating. the the test pipe was quite thin and was very easy to blow through it. Here is an internal pic showing the hole cit in the housing, we didnt cut it as big as we should have after all it was just a test. The mill used is old and wiggled too much so we ended up using a die grinder. Will probably take me 4 hours to properly grid out a 44mm hole, had to constantly wait for the aircompressor to catch up. Hopefully will have a finished product by the end of the week.

15amp power socket installed in my shed today, welding is comming home yay.
-
Got some more practive in tonight, I think this is my best work yet. Also made up a third arm, not too bad I guess.
-
90 amp for the bench 60-70 amp for the practice pieces going of 30 amp per mm
-
Thanks for the tips I though i was going too slow?? That probably means im running too high amperage?? More practive thursday, can't wait for my 15amp socket to go in so i can bring the welder home.

Havn't started using the foot pedal yet. Getting used to using the thing first. I suspect the foot pedal will weld with the slight holes at the end of some of the welds. Basically it will just let you adjust amps on the fly, ATM i am just adjusting it on the machine

Welding finished on the table. We didnt tack it down enough so the top warped quite a bit, not to worry its just a dodgy welding surface, atlease 1 half if fairly straight A few more practive welds. Need to get better at moving faster and feeding filler without stopping all the time.
