Spoke to Hypertune. They are looking into tuning with it they has a software license and a chip to test with. So no go with them atm

It is realtime tuning the factory ECU. and as we all know the factory ecu is better than going aftermarket no to mention you already have a base tune to work on. I have seen many pics of the software and it looks pretty impressive

Im planning on doing the same sort of thing. A friend of mine has experiance tuning Rally cars running Motec computers. We want to buy this to try out on my car and then will probably do some weekend tuning for people. Not aiming to make serious cash or a business out of it just for the love of cars and to learn new things. I want to order it now so i have it by the weekend but no one has answered my emails

take pipe off undo 4 bolts and dont break the gaskit so you can re use it. I might go into a hobby shop and find a spring that will do. What pin are you talking about?

Im sure some one has replaced just the spring. Also anyone know of a good wideband afr sensor i can perminatly mount?

I finally coulod be bothered ripping on my iacv to fix my 2000rpm and hunting idle. turns out the spring had snapped. I removed the snapped piece and it now hunts between 500 and 1000 rpm every now and then. Trust me no where as bad as the constant 1500 - 2000rpm idle it had before. Does any one know where I can get a replacement spring with out buying a whole new unit

I got the acvr and i find it anoying. I want to set the max boost my car will run and leave it at that not have to bother with duty cycles and crap like that. Stupid thing should figure that all out by its self

Took my car to nissan today and there consult worked with out too much trouble. So i guess my cable is rooted. Any one in north perth with a cable wanna do swapsy for 5 mins to see where the problem is

SOrry i didnt make my self clear(Re reading it my self confused me) I have a desktop computer that if being built as an in car computer. It has on board com ports(Serial ports) I have tried the connector on the desktop with out using the usb to serial converter. Im now using ecu talk and still no luck. gonna have to buy my self a multimeter to check everything

oh great i hope that isnt the case this thing is ment to be connected all the time

whats the best was of checking the wiring? Also my consult cable dosnt have the check part

the usb -> Serial converter isn't a problem as ive also tried using it with a desktop with onboard serial port

The consult cable is getting power(LED lights up) its got a Nissan ECU in it no idea it its been modified(Altho it should still work if modified). I may just try wiring it direectly into the ecu wiring. I got the cable of Mearcat so im 100% sure the cable is fine

ANy Ideas?

btw ecu serial # is 23710 04U01 does this ecu support Consult?

I got my self a consult cable last week and can't seam to get it to work. I was using it on a USB -> Serial converter and have since tried it from a com port on my desktop. There seams to be no communication back from the ECU. I have used a serial communication program and tried sending the hex string 0xFF 0xFF 0xEF(or was it 0xFE) and i don't recieve a responce. Any ideas on why its not working?

Dosn;t sound too bad. Where is the actual port in the car gotta make sure its there first?

Where can I get the required hardware to hook my PC up to the consult port?
