  6. Are you talking about a HKS cam gear? Its debatible but an exhaust cam gear on a r33 gtst about -4 retarded can help produce more power. have a read of this http://nissanskyline.6te.net/NVCS.htm hope that helps cheers
  7. Exactly what I was thinking
  8. My gearbox was rebuilt 3 years ago because of a 4th gear sincro problem would grind at anything over 4000rpm. Im having problems again but only if shifting quickly at redline. What oil should I use?
  9. why do you say that 97r33gtst-typeM the redline oil hard on the gear box? I have the exact same problem with my r33
  10. I highly recomend Sydneykids setup mate ride quality and handling is fantastic well suited to aussie conditions.
  11. Jpowys 10psi is about the max id recomend but it is debatable some have run 14psi for long periods and some have let go at 10psi or less. with a stock intercooler on a hot day you may run into problems. Have a look at the r33 tuning guide on my site it provides good info and saves you searching all over the place. cheers
  12. Your best off getting a turbo that bolts onto the standard manifold the turbo may be cheap but the supporting mods wont me new manifold, water and oil lines etc. and not a good match for the RB25 way to laaaggggyyy for a street car. Get a better matched turbo GCG highflow or HKS GTRS. good for around 270rwkw with good response
  13. love these wheels http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/cgi2/g...p;model=045_503
  14. SS looks much nicer hope thats not the final release
  15. Thanks Mark HICAS, ATTESA E-TS, and NVCS sections have been added. This includes Discriptions on how they work and modification informaion. HICAS ATTESA NVCS

  21. Toyota Aristo 3L TT do they come in a manual version?
  22. posted by toshi in an old post in order to tune R33 on dyno, board is needed, which approximately costs $350-$400 only board. Tuner makes ECU map on dyno themselves and this data is transfered onto PLCC chip then fitted onto the customers ECU Other wise use R32 ECU ( need change all map.not only fuel and ignition). R33 chip is selling at http://www.grid.co.jp/en/prod/prod93.htm. This is a one time chip. when remapping ignition timing DIY, make E F colum same as D colum ignition timing. ( also remove speed and boost limitter) This means about same AFC. And adjust base ignition timing by crank angle sensor about 2-3 degrees. There is no need for a fuel map change. Because when fitting dump pipe and hi flow cat , cat back, air pod , boost 0.8-0.9 bar A/F changes to about 11. (depends on parts performance) A/F 11 is not rich. HKS kansai drag racer GTR A/F11 for safe and power. I think rechip is cheaper way ecu tune for std turbo R33 GTS-T.(my map is totally different std map). If change turbo in the future I recomend power fc for R33. I think R32 do not need power fc. If some one having pomping or fuel rich problem please send me PM or yuna@tpg.com.au. I be able to chack problem by softwear then I will fix it. ( NSW only) http://users.tpg.com.au/yuna/Skylines.html Basically a lot of mucking around and will be hard to find someone in your area to do it.
  23. very interested in this $350 tune for a R33 also never heard of anyone how can do this yet
  24. I am very keen to see this comparison. The two factors that will interest me the most will be the lag/response and the power curves. We all know the GCG ballbearing will be more responsive but by how much? and what about overall power? I would asume it to be similar but I never like to asume, I like to see the evidence and im sure many of you do too. Its not a question of which turbo is better but a question of is the GCG turbo worth $1000 more than Slides turbo. If someone could do a comparion test on the same car that would be fantastic. cheers
