  1. I dont know that it would be coils because if it were you would have troubles higher in the rev range as well. Ive got my money on the Nissan ECU over fueling if the plug gapping doesnt fix it a safc or power fc probably will. Make sure you take it to a machanic experienced with Skylines I took mine to a local machanic when I had this problem and he had no idea how to fix it.
  2. Just added the GTT engine tuning guide people.
  3. Nice results mate a Power FC will sure help those AFR's and improve drivability.
  4. My car did the same thing when it was stock not all the time but every noun again try regaping your plugs to 0.8. cheers
  5. On the passangers side stut tower there is a solenoid with 2 hoses and 2 wires comming out of it. Remove the hose that goes to the wastegate actuator and the hose connected to the nipple on the intercooler piping. I think its the top one on the solenoid but I cant remember. Remove the two wires via the plug on the solenoid Install a new hose from the actuator straight to the nipple on the intercooler piping. You have now removed the two stage boost control and will be running 5 psi throughout the rev range. You need to cut the new hose to install the manual boost controller. So you will end up with the hose comming of the piping to the boost controller then to the actualtor. Pictures would explain this better but I dont have any a search on these might be helpful to cheers
  6. Hello all, I have spent the last couple of years slowly building a website designed to help people new to the Nissan Skyline. It includes specifications and tuning guides for turbo versions of skylines from the R32 onwards. I have also including sections covering the following turbo upgrade specs AFM specs cam specs HICAS, ATTESSA, NVCS and how these systems work 40 imbedded videos of the best skyline clips I could find wallpapers history of modifications to my own car plus much more I am updating the website regularly so feel free to bookmark the page. If you have any ideas or notice mistakes (other than spelling and grammar) please fell free to pm me. Hope you find it useful cheers nissan skyline
  7. I have just started putting a new website together still in progress but I have uploaded a R33 tuning guide which will help you and others. Read this guide and let me know what you think.R33 Tuning Guide Cheers PS: Please excuse the spelling
  8. What Paul said the GT-RS is a great match for the for the RB25, with supporting mods (from Pauls list) and a set of cams 270rwkw+ is possible
  9. Bosch pump will be harder to fit than the GTR pump but one would expect it to be more reliable than an old GTR pump. With the level of mods you have you would benifort greatly from an ECU tune this will iron out any problems the new pump may cause. cheers
  10. The SAFC will stop the rich and retard to a certain point as it only manipulates the air flow sensor to trick the ECU into thinking it getting more or less airflow than it actually is. Its fine to use with the standard turbo but once an aftermarket turbo is installed and airflow is greatly increased its best to go for a aftermarket ECU. As you may be out of the SAFC's range and other things need to be tuned changed like timing ect
  11. I should have been more specific like tangles said get your intercooler installed then install you safc or power fc or you will be up for 2 tunes like us. Many have found with the increase of airflow the stock ECU cant handle it and will result on overly rich AFR which causes flat spots hench the recomendation of SAFC or Power FC. Personly I would not run anymore than 11psi cheers
  12. Thanks GTST just tring to find a cheeper option than having to buy a power FC then having to spend extra again on a tune. If I could get the stock ECU tuned for around or under the 1000 mark it would be worth it if I had no plans for future mods. The tune would be for a car with an aftermarket turbo, Z32 airflow meter, injectors and fuel pump. I dont know if its possible to get this standard ECU retuned with this amout of mods but im just trying to find a cheeper option. I have heard that Dr drift retunes chips but I cant find his website or email address.
  13. $1.50+ is what I am now paying for BP Ultimate so maybe more people will start looking into gas
  14. Thanks slide Am I reading this correctly the 250rwkw version is $890? Does the $950 version make more than 250rwkw due to the larger exhaust houing? Im interested to see the dyno results. If these turbos make the power and spool similar to the GCG ones I think they are well worth the money. cheers
  15. Have any of you had you R33 ECU re-mapped I have heard that they are harder to do than the R32. If so how much did it cost? and how would it compare to a after market ECU eg power FC.
  16. Sounds like a good cheep alternitive to the GCG highflow. What is the cost of the 250rwkw version Slide. Does anyone else have this turbo installed and a dyno graph to show us will be very interesting to compare it to the gcg highflows. cheers
  17. I saw a rb25det with gearbox for $3,200 in the forsale section of the forums the other day buy this install it and sell your RB20DET engine and gear box. This would be a good upgrade and if you deside you want more power down the track you have a gear box that will be able to handle it. RB20 boxes and a lot weeker then RB25 boxes.
  18. I had tubo back exhaust, SAFC2, and 10psi of boost before I installed my hybrid cooler. After the install I had to regap my plugs and get the safc retuned as the car was braking down due to the higher and more efficient air flow. Please note thats without increasing the boost, once tuned it made a huge difference heaps more power and I could not notice the difference in thottle responce. Very worth while mod from my experience but do your exhaust, gap plugs to 0.8, and get a SAFC2 or Power FC first. I made 195rwkw on 10psi not holding boost. I suspect I would be making just over 200rwkw now, its holding 11.5psi to red line, I have installed also a sheilded Pod filter and a cold air feed.
  19. Just had a look at your webpage looks like a pretty good setup. Is it as easy to bolt on as the GCG one? Are both the oil and water lines used with the journal bearing setup? Looking forward to seeing your results with the new injectors and ECU installed. cheers
  20. Would you consider swapping with my R33 GTS25T with the same amount of Km’s. Immaculate with suspension and engine mods Carsales link
