  1. Thats interesting how boost seems to increase on peoples cars after an exhaust is installed it made to difference on my car at all boost was still 7psi before and after.
  2. I like the first set they would look great on the right car. the last set looks good 2 though
  3. very neet R33 mate sorry you have to sell it. bargin price
  4. Its the tourque you need to worry about mate not the overall power and the RB25 is a lot touqueir as we all know but at that power level it should be ok.
  5. have a look in at the tuning guide from the site in my sig this is the order that most people do things in and for good reason. cheers
  6. Cool thanks instant touque of the line sure does help. very impressive.
  7. Get yourself a R32 GTSTwastegate actuator you will be running 10 to 11 psi and hold boost perfectly. keep the stock cooler and buy a SAFC or power FC 190rwkw should be acheived cheers
  8. Just for interest the tyres I used where hankook Ventus Sport K104 with about 80% tread, 235's on a 17" rims 25psi tyre pressure. It was a 30 degree day at heathcote, traction got better when the big boys came out and layed down heaps of sticky rubber.
  9. Yes the stock turbo is ball bearing, but the standard bearings will not be retained in a highflow basicly the only parts that are reusable are the compressor and turbine cover. Slides (pm slide) turbos for example are not a ball bearing highflow but they can be had for under $1000 the trade off is lag and throttle response vs a ball bearing turbo with all things equal. Sydneykid has GCG highflows for sale in the group buy section for 1750 these are ball bearing and have proven themselfs many times over. cheers
  10. tomie type b cams, this is probably the most popular choice and for good reason you get to retain your VCT. Nissan NVCS Best prices ive seen are at www.nengun.com. cheers
  11. My tyres are no where near good enough to launch at 4500rpm
  12. I thought Nickr33 explained it well earlier in the thread. 3,500 is too much in my opinion... try about 2,500 and when the light goes green dont drop the clutch, ride it out slowly as you keep your right foot pinned to the floor... if you feel too much wheelspin ease the clutch out slower, if you feel it start to bog drop it quicker etc etc... change at 6,500 - 7000 trying not to hit the limiter, changing slightly early is better than smashing the limiter... your power curve flattens out at about 6,000 anyway... make sure your changes are nice and crisp and you should see the 13's no worries I do much the same thing exept I usually launch at just under 3000rpm, and slip the clutch while squeezing the gas peddle in rather than keeping it pinned to the floor. Its hard to explain but you learn to feel when the wheels are going to spin, you want to get just a little bit of wheel spin, too much will have you bag up the tyres and you will go no-where, to little and you will bogg down its a very fine line. If feel its going to spin to much I give it slightly less throttle and slightly more clutch, If I feel its going to bog I give it slightly more throttle and slightly less clutch. Track condition, suspention, and tyre all play a part in what revs I start at and how much gas/clutch slip I need. Takes me a few runs to work all this out. Im a novice (2.3 60ft is shit), theres probably better ways to launch but thats what worked best for me. Id be interested to hear how some of the more experienced drag races launch. Not sure why it bogs down in 4th by the look of your dyno sheet you have a nice wide power band I change into 4th at spot on 150kmph which is very close to the rev limiter, maybe you change a little early? If it where your clutch you would notice it in other gears easpecially lower ones. I have a exeedy heavy duty its a great clutch with an exellent feel. cheers
  13. 195rwkw 2.3 second 60 foot 13.6@105mph Launched at about 3 grand sliping the clutch with a little wheel spin any more revs or a dump of the clutch would relult in to much wheel spin and similar times to what you got. To little a revs would result in the car bogging down and getting similar times to what you got. Im pretty quick though the gears but struggled on the launch for a start. The last run was about as good as I could do with the 235 tyres I had. Ive heard that if you can take 0.1 of your 60ft it results in .2 or .3 at the end. I attatched the time slip I was racing a stipped out BMW M3 with simi slicks, with a 1.87 60 ft time he managed a 12.9 at the same 105mph. With better tyres and better 60 footer a 12 would be possible with a 190-200rwkw GTS25-T keep practicing cheers
  14. I would be very interested to see a film clip of it in action for the sound etc.
  15. Anyone fitted and tuned theres yet getting mine done in the middle of october.
  16. how much difference does an auto make in regards to spool time? id like to see the results of a manual
  17. Have a read of my tuning guides in the site in my sig it addresses the flat spot problem you have and will give you a good overview of what your car is capable of. cheers
  18. 206kw due to the gentlemans agreement but its much closer to 240-250. Stock ones put out 180-190 at the rear wheels and bit less on a awd dyno. cheers
  19. Did a search and couldnt find anything so I dont think this is a repost electric car Very interesting range of 400km at a cost of 1cent per mile. Battery lasts 100,000 miles. I recon one of these would be great but my only question is how much does a new battery cost? ________________________________________________ 100% Torque, 100% of the Time The Tesla Roadster delivers full availability of performance every moment you are in the car, even while at a stoplight. Its peak torque begins at zero rpm and stays powerful beyond 13,000 rpm. This is the precise opposite of what you experience with a gasoline engine, which has very little torque at a low rpm and only reaches peak torque in a narrow rpm range. This forces you to make frequent gear changes to maintain optimal torque. With the Tesla Roadster, you get great acceleration and the highest energy efficiency at the same time. All while requiring no special driving skills to enjoy it. This makes the Tesla Roadster six times as efficient as the best sports cars while producing one-tenth of the pollution. _________________________________________________ cheers
  20. If you where in a dangerous situation where you had to avoid an accident which car would you rather be in? a skyline? or an old VN commodore? hmm There are 2 ways to look at this a performance car will obviously stop, handle, and go quicker than a ordinary car. But does this encourage the young driver to drive the car to its limits? Do performance cars encourage this hoonish behavior? The government obviously thinks so. But I and I am sure many others look at it differently, I think if they are going to do this they will do it anyway regardless of the car. Better driver education is what’s needed not bands and restrictions. Imagine if it where compulsory for everyone to do an advanced drivers course, teach a person how to handle a car and how easy and unpredictable a car can be in wet conditions etc. I think this should become a compulsory part of getting your license. Once these gunna be hoons get on a skid pan in the wet and realize how easy it is to loose control maybe they will realize they are not racecar drivers, and think twice before trying it on the street. Another thing that gets me is car safety, watch rally cars they race in extremely dangerous conditions, they can crash into trees roll several times and often the drivers get out without a scratch. Why not make it compulsory to have roll cages and much bigger brakes on all cars. Trucks cause many of our accidents on country roads with truck drivers falling to sleep etc. When I drive from Horsham to Melbourne there are just as many trucks as there is cars. Get the trucks off the roads use the rail system. But no its much easier and less expensive for the government to put penalties on drivers fine them for driving 2km per hour over the limit. The government gets to say they are making an effort plus they raise more revenue at the same time. What a joke. That’s my rant for today.
  21. welcome to the forum specs for Skylines in the link in my sig.
  22. Personally im not a fan of the metallic flakes but your original idea sounded good (silver pearl) through it, or the WRX gold pearl.
  23. Sounds like it bolts onto the stock manifold which is good. does it come with water and oil lines? do you need a custom dump pipe? Have you thought about the HKS PRO-S kit comes with everything needed to bolt in place 300+rwkw is possible with cams and its probably less laggy. cheers
  24. You know which one id be going for mint you got yours yet?
