Upgrading R33 Fuel Pump, Anything Else Needed?

Lol I know... 1st I had all my parts and I was told I need a fpr, then I was told I reallyshould get injectors before my tune so i looked and found some sard injectors, then everyone said I should get nismo so I saved for them, them my highflow turbo seals went so now I still can't tune it how annoying this all is... So now I just want to add what I can and I need the pump 100% so I was asking how I should do it. yes I've had many post's but I've also ran into alot of dead ends so Now I'm just doing this and saving/fixing everything lol! Hope that made sense cause I'm on the iPhone typing quickly, -
hey guys my car is pinging since im still running the non turbo fuel pump with a rb25det motor. i have a bosch 040 fuel pump and a sard fpr and nismo injectors in my room. im not going to get my car tuned anytime soon so what should i do? i have a power fc and i goto "ect" and goto the bottom section and click yes, assumed it was factory reset but i let it idle for 30min as it said, and it doesnt seem to change and the car was still idling rich so i just put the stock 1 back in. so basically should i just add the 040 pump and do i have to add that fpr aswell?.. or i dont need to change anything else except the pump? or should i add the nismo injectorss, fpr, 040, and try to reset the pfc and turn the injectors down? i just want to know what i should do, #1: 040 - #2: 040 fpr - #3: 040 fpr injectors pfc - thanks

sorry i didnt realise i said i was putting injectors in and then playing with the pfc. all i said was should i tweak the injectors aka "standard injectors" if i run higher boost levels... so the car doesnt run lean. but neways ill wait and grab that boost gauge before i change anything. -

hey guys im sending a turbo away for repairs so im putting the stock turbo on, i have a turbosmart manual boost control and i wanted to know how much psi it runs when "Fully closed" and how much u get for each click "roughly" as i dont have a boost gauge and cant get 1 untill next week how much psi/clicks should i goto safely with a standard setup? and should i put the PFC in "standard" and tweak the injectors or should i not do that. -
so do u work at a shop or own a shop that woould repair my turbo? where is it located and how long would u need it for. what price would i be looking at max "roughly" cause i know it needs oil seals and prob new bearings. an i take it the bearings would fix the shaft play...?

well i lose traction in 1st and in second it pulls hard, if i go hard in second then change to 3rd all i hear is turbo/exhaust and it doesnt feel like its moving BUT if im cruising in 3rd "boost kicks in at around 4000 - 4500rpm" and i hit it when boost comes on it pulls like never before. so i dont know whats going on with that, any idea's? -
i rang GCG turbo's or w.e. they are called, and they giggled when i said should i get around $800 or so saved before bringing it to u... so obviously he wants to charge me an arm and a leg for it. all i want done is new seals and i want to try and get rid of the shaft play... do u think that would be expensive at all? if not could u give me some contact details of someone in nsw that would give me a good deal as i dont know anyone who does turbo repairs and i wouldnt know a good price from a bad one. cheers mate my mate told me with that turbo he ran 265rwkw with the turbo and he used it for drifting so im worried something might shit itself. the blades look perfect and so does the housing.

the oil light didnt come on, and oil pressure gauges works good i dont think it was a pressure problem though i will get it looked at by someone incase. i think the turbo seals are just on the way out i did find an oil leak on top of the turbo "the centre of my turbo isnt standard" where the nipple goes into the turbo for the braided hose connects to. i fixed that and thats not a problem now, just them turbo seals... the high flow has a bit of shaft play aswell so maybe i should just scrap that turbo... how much would it be to repair the high flow oil seals "maybe bearings" and fix any other gaskets or w.e. so its in 100% working order? do u think the high flow i have would allow much more power then the stock turbo, or is it not worth the hassle cause if not ill just put the stocky on and save for a bigger 1!

hey i bought a turbo of my mates a while ago and now its on my car here is the specs of what i know! standard rb25 front housing "high flowed" with garret gt30 front wheel ar.63 rear housing... and i have the stock rb25det turbo aswell sitting here. i want to get my power fc tuned sometime soon and i dont know what to have on there... here is the deal the other day i gave my car a bit and white smoke came out the exhaust "with the high flowed turbo" was told by justjap it would be the turbo seals or w.e. cause if it was stems it would be smokey on idle. and it doesnt blow smoke at all while driving, But on that day when i dragged 3rd gear right out 6000rpm the oil came out. then drove again 5min later and its normal and has been since. anyways i was thinking i want to have the most power i can but i dont want to put the highflow turbo on if the seals are gonna go on me so how much power do u think i would be making on this setup: Apexi Pfc w/Hc Turbosmart Dual Boost Controller JustJap FMIC Sard FPR Bosch 040 Fuel pump Z32 AFM Xforce varex cannon - piping - highflow cat 3" Exedy Hd Clutch Nismo 740cc injectors STOCK R33 RB25DET TURBO i dont want to kill the stock turbo "but i do want as much power as possible" i would use it untill i saved up for something bigger, say around feburary next year!

is it possible there was to much oil pressure when going through 3rd gear that it built up to much in the turbo so it forced a way out "oil seals" if so would getting an oil catch can fix that and lower the oil pressure? -

found a large split in the large black vacuum hose that comes from the pipe out of the plenum. fixed the backfiring now runs great again, thanks mate... havnt had that oil problem again "yet" so hopefully it doesnt happen again... 1 thing though say i go WOT in 1st or 2nd "it goes hard" but when i change gears i hear the turbo winding but i dont feel the power i should in the next gear? i hope u know what im saying, do u know what this means? -

Is this about the backfiring? Afm should be fine, intercooler is on tight, possibly loose vacuum line... Would that cause backfire? -

yeah i took the thermostat out just to check it and its working better not its gone. ill be getting a new 1 this friday and ill be changing my radiator to that justjap one. yes the fan infront of the aircon/radiator "black one" is the one that isnt working. i dont know why it doesnt... and i have now noticed another problem! my heat gauge "since engine install" even when cold doesnt go below half way now ffs! i know my engine still is "extremely" hot when its at max temp cause i felt it but the stupid gauge wont go below half way... any ideas on why that is now? -
about 3 days me and my mate went for a power cruise and the car ran like a dream, but yesterday when i thought ide give the car a bit along the highway in 3rd... it went hard untill about 5500 rpm then bam i lost power and there was a ute along side me that said look back! and i had white smoke out the exhaust... i pulled over and nothing sounded wrong. so i tested it down another street and it was fine again... any idea's why there was white smoke for ? i found a bit of oil around the top of my turbo "oil line" and around the top of the engine... im not sure where it came from. problem #2 as i said everything was fine the other day but yesterday aswell. when there was is boosting "wide open throttle" it sort of backfires "put pop put" when the boost builds up and it starts pulling. any ideas what that could be? the car was non turbo, change full engine to r33 s1 rb25det motor and i change them loom... running stock ecu (havnt reset power fc and put it in) 3" turbo back exhaust justjap fmic pod high flow turbo

Ok maybe I'm saying it wrong "I have only replaced the engine and loom!" radiator and fan on front are standard non turbo stuff! The fan on the front "whatever it's called" doesn't turn on at all so what we be the problem do u think? -
Hey guys i bought an imported engine had done 68,000ks engine was not modified i dont need this turbo as i have my own "larger turbo" what u see is what u get, i have not tried to clean the turbo so im showing u what it is. nothing wrong with this turbo at all, has the basically no shaft play at all. Asking $300 Pm me if interested / leave your name and number and i will call u back. prefer pickup but will post at buyers expence/courier is orginised buy buyer. pretty sure i also have a stock rb25det ecu and i have a stock afm "rear end mesh missing but working perfect"

has anybody wired the thermo fan to constaly run? cause mine doesnt work at all... could someone please tell me how to and post a picture guide on how to wire a thermofan to constantly run as my car is overheating to much on idle. cheers -

Yeah it's boiling hot alright, where is the thermofan sensor? I don't think the fan has ever kicked in... I was just gonna hardwire it somewhere. The non turbo radiator must he crap for cooling aswell so I wanna find a cheap yet decent radiator to buy tomorrow! Any suggestions? -

Thermostat is out and it's running better whilest driving/boosting it stays around 4-5 mil from the hot sign, when on idle it gets hotter cause thermo fan doesn't turn on for some reason... I've decided the n/a radiator needs to go! I'm in nsw and I want a decent yet cheap radiator upgrade for a r33 gtst, can someone suggest a place so I can get it tomorrow! Possibly leave me a brand name and a rough price, thanks also where us the closest wire to hardwire my thermofan? -

how do i check the water pump? is the gtst water pump different to the non turbo water pump? if not i could just swap it i guess... i dont know what it looks like either. -

i was just bleeding the radiator with the bleeder valve on top of the plenum, and yes there is air coming out with some fluid bubbling out every now and then. "but" just on idle the stupid thing has gone from half way heat to "HOT" while i was trying to bleed for like 5 - 10minutes... do u guys still think its cause there is air in the radiator? while its running i plug up the bleeder and check the radiator and the radiator is still full oh and i had the car air running on heat while i was doing this. should i continue to bleed it while its almost a hot peak? or is there something else i should be trying?!?! -
