thats what u get for having holden -
no 2 setup are 100% the same, don’t forget. engine condition, heat, wear exhaust ect etc, everything matters. Even 2 identical cars 1 may be something slightly diffrent causing different outcomes. As said "if it is the same car with the same turbo and you change the boost from 15psi to 20psi (using a wastegates set at those 2 pressures) then there will be no power difference until the boost goes above 15psi when you have the boost wound up. from the moment the second setup goes above 15psi the power and torque will change. below that the will be 100% the same. if it is 2 different turbos then it comes down the compressor properties." is all there is to it, and don’t forget dynos aren’t 100% accurate and are effected my environmental conditions. Just like cars are with heatsoak ..a dirty air filter can be a factor .. if you get what im saying.

R31 Silhouette Skyline Stock - Adding Turbo
NISSANR33GTST replied to otsosi's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
you could also bolt on to your current setup, if you upgrade to a aftermarket ecu. step by step, i.e bolt on the ecu, turbo.. exhaust, intake. then start going cooler and other mods. -
would you be able to post pic and state of the items?

how hard will it be to get RWC? when the car need to be reg

spin it, if it feels gone. change it. also use this time to check other parts and belts
-
good info, get the AFRs checked and you will have a very good idea of what is going on. VCT too is you have it can be tested, as well as the ACV
-
my guess is the problems is caused by blocking the BOV the AFM puts in fuel for air that isnt there. causing a backfire. try using your plumb back again and see if that helps. also look for any intake leaks after the afm, an aftermarket ecu which removes the afm will solve this and much more.

I say, how much does he want to spend? Best mods power wise and cop wise on a stock car are roughly in this order: aftermarket ecu, exhaust, fuel pump, intercooler, turbo, clutch (moving up on your price range.) Look into: EMS Stinger 4420 or 8860 R33/R34 front mount intercooler kit Skyline R33 BOV Adapter Kit 3-4 grand will get you a really nice set-up. Edit R31Nismoid - this not a plug a business in every post you make forum.
