See you have a GZ20 Soarer .. there is one of them around the corner from where I live but it is not registered yet, looks like it has just been imported and hasn't gone to regency yet.. very nice looking cars.

Hmm interesting indeed. On another note, do you ever remember seeing an external antenna on your mate's car?.... Mine doesnt have 1 at all on the exterior.. it must be somewhere under the body?, unsure if this is factory or not.....yet the MA70 & JZA70 have them on the rear (right side).

Hey Dean, Ahh he must have had a Gen II 1G-GTE , mine is Air to Air intercooled. Gen III 1G-GTE came out in the 1988 models and changed from water/air to air/air and was factory rated at 210 BHP (or around that) up from 175BHP in the Gen II. Na I mean't I thought it would do damange not having a BOV . Car is going great now, the Alternator was causing all those probs I was having.. since i got it fixed I havn't had a single prob . I can't come to next weeks cruise as I have a 40th the night before and yeah won't be in any shape to drive the next day . However the next cruise I will be there, confirmed it already with the misses hehe. Hopefully by then it will be lowered... (getting whiteline springs put in)

Ok I know I know that my car is not a Skyline but I had to share this info with you I just found out. Just found an interesting fact out about my car, it never came out of the factory with a BOV!.. how weird is that?!?! Engine in question here is a 1G-GTEU. It has been fitted with an aftermarket BOV since (blitz atmo), but never had a factory one... found this out when i was trying to find a BOV that went back into the system. Wouldn't this be damaging to the turbo's?.. especially if uping the boost?. Guess I will have to just keep the atmo one and hope for the best . Dean did your mates Supra have a BOV on it? Rob.

Howdy Everyone, I just brought a new rear spoiler for my car today (its made from fibreglass) and I am looking for someone that can fit it and paint it. The wing may need a little bit of modification & molding .. is this possible with fibreglass?.. it is not a great deal of molding only slightly (bolting it on will prob fix it into shap prop anyway) Installation is also not 100% straight forward either but not impossible. Can anyone recommend anyone that you think would be up to a task like this? Rob.

not worth using, get caught and it is a $250 odd fine for obstruction of numberplate ... plus once they see that they will be pissed and pick your car to shit. It is pretty noticable when sprayed on from the side (eg multi late road). Just don't friggen speed in the city , it is that simple.

Howdy All, This is a question for anyone that has ordered Whiteline products before... or anyone with Suspension experience. I want to get a set of Whiteline springs for the front & rear of my car, the code numbers are 80078 & 80079 to suit import Supra (MA70). At present I have GAB shocks/springs (Jap brand) on my car , I was wondering if the whiteline springs would be an auto replacement for the GAB springs?.. or will i need new shocks also? Also when ordering on the Whiteline site it does not seem to give me an option of size?.. eg in the cateloughe it says 25-40mm lower than standard, but where do u get that option when ordering? I dont want to folk out $350 bucks and find they still sit to high or dont fit. Any idea's?.. anyone know who fits whiteline products in the CBD area? Rob.

Dean: Yep you are right supraforums.com is pretty weak.. there is also supramania.com but that is also pretty crap. I have also been to toymods.com.au ....but it is absolute crap because no one even bothers to reply to your questions. I got most of my info just searching the net and getting bits of info here and there.. but you are right stuff in nearly impossible to find on them. Yep the turbo's r rather small and yep has the funky turbo light ... but yeah main reason I got it was for a cheap car that also looked good... I do get heaps of looks because u don't see the car's everyday... which is kinda cool. All the probs I had with power are now gone, it was alternator all along causing the issues, since had it fixed it has been smooth sailing all the way. There r a few things i still want to do to the car.. 1) Get another rear spoiler (had a GT wing but pulled off as soon as i could) , 2) Lower it more , 3) quieten the exhaust as it is so f***in loud!!. GFXMan Haha you will keep ... it's ok def was not brought for power so I don't mind... mind u saying that i had a hills race against a 300zx yesterday and manged to keep up with the VG30DETT ... except when he went up steep hills and his torque really kicked in. p.s. once car is up to my standards I will take some pics and post them on here.

Hmm I think may need to do a safety review by the sounds of it, maybe a few more barrier's in front of the crowd but far enough away from the track so the cars dont hit it if its only a minor spin off. Also I agree that there should be atleast paramedic's there, and maybe a few volunteers from the local CFS....it sounds like these events are really taking off and I cant wait for the next one in 4 or so months time.. it would be a shame to see the event lost due to someone getting seriously injured or killed. John: Car is exactly the same colour as Dean's It is by no way as powerful as the Skyline tho ... I got it dyno'd and it only does 100RWKW.. but that is stock boost... next time i get it serviced I will put the boost controller back on (its an Apexi button job that i dont know how to setup prop hehe - came installed on car but unplugged at this stage). The engine is only a 1G-GTE (2.0L Twin Turbo - sequential turbo's) but it can handle a huge amount of boost I have been told and the engine is extremely tough... the engine was mainly found in the 1980's Toyota Soarer, came in my car before they went to the 7M-GTE and then the beast 1JZ-GTE found in the last of the Supra's before the present shape. Main reason for getting it was : 1) 7M-GTE has to many issues (mainly blowing headgaskets), 2) After selling Skyline couldn't go back to a standard car, 3) It's Japanese and an import & 4) Cheap to buy but still looks good and also very rare. It will be a good knock around car until I get my R34 GTT in a few years (or less depending on how long I can hold out ). Dean: Hmm I dunno if I will make the 25th as Sat night of the 24th I have a 40th birthday at littlehampton to attend... needless to say I will be a huge night lol. Do you realise how many Skylines there are in Adelaide?... see as many as SS commodores these days.

Kinda undecided also... they definately change the shape of the car... sorta make it look like they are the front lights of the car. I think the issue is they are a complete different style to the old ones... its like anything though, it takes time to get used to them as it is so different to anything you have seen before.

Passed you all as you were heading into Strathalbyn... lucky I didn't join the cruise as got to Mt Barker and altinator died... so now car is stuck there all weekend until i can get it fixed Monday.... nice!!! Next cruise (day) I am in ... as long as POS car is up to it... or it is not stolen this weekend.

Howdy John, long time no talk! . Far out that street GTR is sounding extreme!, I am very jealous!. Also the Drag car is sounding very crazy also. I think I say this for everyone, we all envy you very much I think with everyone getting there cars back on the road this calls for another "Drifty Cruise" !, I am thinking either a Saturday day cruise or a Friday night special and maybe something mid Janurary after everyone has got over xmas & the xmas holidays. Now I can not promise it will not rain, but looking at this weather we shouldn't have a prob! . What do we all think?.. will be good to get all the old school together with the new school. Rob.

Good Morning All, Just wondering if anyone can recommend an exhaust place in the City? I have dealt with Exhaust Techniques before on gouger , but that was when I had a commodore.. not sure if they do Jap style exhausts? It really needs to be a place in the CBD area as I work there. I have a full 3" or 3.5" in system on the car at the moment but it is just do damn loud!, it really droans at between 60 - 80 kms then over 110km's. So I want to either get a new muffler or put a resonator on it.... but want to keep it Jap style if possible. Anyone know the cost of this?, I don't want to bother with another whole system.... finding a full exhaust system for a 1G-GTE to fit a GA70 Supra body would be next to impossible anyway. Thanks! Rob
