Hey, Im wanting to buy a r33 (skyline virgin) and I wanteded it kept pretty stock just to save the hassle with cops etc, What will a intercooler do to me? What are the fines involed? are there any way you can 'make them leagal'!!

Justcar Insurance But you can't pay your premium by the month, its 1700 Straight up - but I havnt completly read the 32 page policy, but i have noticed it says any modifications done they will not cover you...not to sure what there limit is, becuase they actually ask you what you have on your car when you quote.

Thanks for that, I kicking myself now because the one i really liked and wated is now sold!!! Going to be hard to find another nice one. Can you still get nice mags that are the right offset?

Im looking at buying my first r33 too.. Looked at one the other day - loved it! Got RACQ to look at it - got the full package one (about 200 for the inspection) And it kinda thew me off...they came back with 2 pages of stuff wrong with it, everything from a blocked window washer nozzle to CV joint on its way out, to a 'illegal interior light' (lol) Good to know tho. Ended up not buy that car. Good $200 investment? Questionable

Thanks alot, The insurance quote I got was for 1700 full comp,which i was thought was great. and im only 18, 19 in aug, I am keen to get one, now the one I have like just got sold, its hard to find a neat clean one around. I like the nizmo body kits, just somthing plain and stylish. Thanks for your info, Do all yous skylines have spaces on them for the mags? if anyone else can add anything please feel free, it helps me alot.

First post ever! I have been looking at buying a R33, The one I looked at was nice pretty stock which is how I wanted it, But I had to also convice my dad to let me get it. He loved the one we looked at but we had a RACQ check done on the car. The RACQ wasn't to bad except it came back with alot of 'illegal' things such as BOV and air filter etc. One of the ones that he really didnt like was the fact that the 17' mags on it came back saying 'incorrect wheels for car - illegal size and incorrect and illegal spacers fitted'. I was maily wondering how stuff like that affects insurance and with a stock 33 - say it has a body kit, legal hight, stock engine (turbo) and mags on it - what could the cops book you on? Can you really get slammed by the cops if you have done no engine mods? Also I spoke to RACQ and Nissan before I seriously look at the car and they both said ' i wouldnt even touch the car - stay well away from then', 'personally i wouldnt buy one - expensice to service etc' Wats your comments? I just after a bit of info. Thanks alot
