I am, Neils scared of it Actually, I don't know if I'll get my car up the garden or onto the transition, but I'm going to try. Where are people staying for that one?
-
Results are here http://www.hillclimbnsw.com/bul.pdf It was fun taking the p!ss outta Neil... the look on his face is PRICELESS!!! But don't worry, he dished some of his own back (and I wouldn't have it any other way, I enjoy the banter). psst Neil --->>>> and the weekend before ---->>>>

My best time was 36.51 and had potential as the last 60m was under brakes, my rerun was 36.91 (missed a gear), didn't get my last run, blocked fuel filter but had a lot of fun.
-
As I said, I wouldn't like to lose it at that speed up there... this broke my heart and it wasn't even my car
-
Its a damn fast hillclimb though, I wouldn't like to lose it through there at those speeds. Don't think I've ever been in 4th gear for a hillclimb before LOL oh and a certain open wheeler won Shannons Insurance "Car of the Day" in Saturdays Show'n'Shine woohooooo I really didn't expect a racecar to get that trophy, there were some impressive looking cars there on Saturday.

sucked in yourself, I have the printout which says I did a faster time than you and that was with them slowing me down 60m before the finishing line. You haven't got an official printout that is faster than mine even if it didn't count cos they gave me a rerun for slowing me down at least I know I gotcha tell ya wot... I'll scan up my fastest time and you can scan up yours

Desperately Seeking Smash Repairs
Michele replied to thedriver's topic in Australian Capital Territory
If its not an insurance job and you want to save money, try Adam Hickey on 0418 630 813 - have a look at some of his work, he's pretty good. PS I won Shannons Insurance "Car of the Show" at last weekends Bulahdelah Speed Weekends "Show and Shine" day with my racecar - and that has Adams paintwork on it. But like I said, look at his work and decide for yourself, he'll have something to show you. -
I'll be running the open wheeler... tempting as it is to run the GTR, I try to treat her like a princess.
-
You're lucky, I've been approached three times now with my (stock) cars PARKED, twice asking if they could do a rego check of my car. I'm not sure why they asked if I mind, probably because I was parked. I'm in two minds and I try to be understanding as part of me hopes they find some thieving b@stard with a stolen Line, but another part of me has really noticed the way I've been approached (body language, eyeballing etc) until they realise I'm not a youngan (keep in mind they don't look twice when I'm in the Statesman). Oh and when I say PARKED, I'm not talking odd hours in strange places, I'm talking business hours in shopping carparks. No-one offered to come take obvious fingerprints from Steady's line though when the cesspit dwellers tried to steal it.

I'm racing the open wheeler in the hillclimb on the Sunday and hope to make the show n shine on Saturday (time permitting). As much as I would like to run the GTR, she's being treated like the Princess she is and although I was tempted to buy Anthony's GTR, I simply don't have the room for more cars here. Its about 90k North of Newcastle and the hillclimb is on an old section of the Pacific Hwy which they will close for the day http://www.hillclimbnsw.com/bula.html

bugger, I'm at the Bulahdelah Speed Weekend this weekend. Richard will have to be mum for this one but knowing Richard, he'll be the one leading you all astray.

Phone Adam Hickey on 0418 630 813 - He has access to some awesome paints - He did that amazing purple fleck on black on my race car... I get asked about it all the time. He can do panel beating/painting and will do a special cash price. Have a look at some of his work, then decide.
-
I believe they have extended closing date for entry forms to tomorrow. Phone Ross Jones on 49972299 if you need more info. I'll be there.

To be honest with you, if I were a young guy, these days, I wouldn't buy a Skyline. I get seriously eyeballed by Police when in the Skyline (that is, until they see a middle aged woman at the wheel) yet I NEVER get this when I'm in the Statesman. Yesterday I was parked in a carpark waiting to meet a friend for lunch and the police deliberately looped around the opposite end of the exit (nothing to be gained) just to eyeball me in the process... once again they quickly forgot about me when they realised I was an old lady. I wouldn't be a young guy in a Skyline for quids these days. You're a target in a Skyline, by both Police and thieves.

OMG haven't I been sending off the wrong signals then. When I hoon (on the track of course) its because I love the feel of the vehicle and wanna play and learn how to control it better. I didn't know it impressed the opposite sex, it never aroused me watching someone drive a car really well, but hey, might work for some.

Clarification... is this "this weekend" or "next weekend" some peeps have different opinions on what "next weekend" really means. For me, next weekend is the weekend after this weekend.

Well said Paul! I've probably got one of the most warped and/or broadest sense of humours on this forum, yet I still find that when the bogans get together a "pack animal" attitude comes into play and turns them into something very nasty. They don't have the balls to act like that when their alone, its only when the pack animal mentality comes into it and they gang up on their targets, which is usually women while they're in the mood for a laugh (at our expense) but then can also turn to violence toward other males (or even their own, which is yet another pack animal characteristic).

Formal Car Nedded For 11th Of December
Michele replied to auzzii's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Ahhh you guys make too big a deal out of getting out of cars in a ladylike manner... can be done with a two door just fine. A simple offering of a hand from her partner as she exits will not only assist, but will look good too. If in doubt, get her to have a practice run and I'm sure you'll be surprised how easy it is. -
