  1. I think everyone should meet and sleep at my place this weekend... baseball bats supplied
  2. I'll guarantee that James wouldn't care less about getting a call at 3:30am, especially if it were to help a friend in need with the bonus of catching a b@stard. Thanks everyone and keep an eye out, they were pretty bold. Alarms are all set and ready to face another day, although I suspect the scariest part for the thieving, low life, scum bucket, cesspit dwelling b@stards was seeing Mark running down the steps in his undies hahahaha
  3. Mark was coming up the rear and passed me before I got down the steps - they looked scrawny to me... not enough muscle to physically work for their assets, they'd rather take someone elses hard earnt possessions.
  4. This morning @ 3.33am I interupted the theft of Chris' car. I suspect his alarm didn't go off because of a faulty battery which we will have investigated today (or perhaps they knew their way around that as well). In hindsight, I should have let them take the damn car and let the tracking device do its thing and catch them red handed. But at the time, all I thought about was scaring them off. Chris' car is normally in the garage, the only reason it wasn't is because we're working on my race car in there atm There were at least three of them, pulled hoods over their heads when they realised I was on to them. Very bold, getaway vehicle all ready to go. Smashed rear quarter and I don't know what else yet, but they had the car halfway down the road. Off to buy some movement activated night cameras now
  5. Me thinks he only did that to torment you
  6. Not sure which part you're referring to as a temp licence - The day membership is only for being a member of SDMA so you can try before you join or to cover off those who do not compete there often. CAMS is only for a year, SDMA will give you the CAMS 30 day temp licence (butt at the end of the page) to cover you until CAMS send your official licence through. Both can be obtained on the day, but entry forms still have to be in on time (entries not accepted on the day) and let the Event Secretary know you are getting your membership and/or licence on race day when you put your entry forms in. To compete you will need 1) entry forms in on time 2) SDMA membership (day or til June 30) 3) CAMS L2S licence (mimimum) If you are a member of another CAMS affiliated club, it may be worth asking the President/Event Secretary if they will accept your entry without joining SDMA, however, its a good club to be involved in, they have been very supportive of me.
  7. Hmmm I guess different clubs have different regulations - have a look at SDMA (my local club) where they only put the GTRs in SV because of 4wd and they put the GTST in Type 2, which is only fair, my little GTST couldn't compete with the GTRS and if she were heavily modded, she would need to go in type 3. http://www.sdmahillclimb.com/ then click on highlighted text in the body of the home page "types and classes" I was running one in each class for a while. Why don't we get more of you guys down for this?
  8. Nope, you can get it on the day from the club... in fact they recommend it so that your 12months membership starts on your first race day. Just let them know thats what you're doing so they can have the forms printed/ready. Didn't you see all those Evo/Rex people getting their licences while u were at the last hillclimb?
  9. That shot looks fantastic - noice one.
  10. I'm guessing you really meant the one L Shell or otherwise you will confuse 2 L Shell LOL I'd like to go, but its on the same day as round 6 of the NSW State Hillclimb Championship
  11. That is good news... was it still in ACT? I think they should call it open season on the thieving b@stard!
  12. haha I thought the same thing...
  13. Licence can be obtained/renewed on the day at SDMA
  14. I like the idea of getting Parl House in the shot more than Telstra Tower and if you travel to Auto Salon etc there is nooo mistaking where you're from. I had no idea what Telstra Tower was before I moved here.
  15. Yes true, but I would have liked to have a better look at the track before the Australian Hillclimb Championships which is the next event there.
  16. Sat up almost all night last night with my truck packed ready to go... but the rain just wouldn't break So went to the skid pan/back track on Sutton road instead for some training with Dereck at 5th Gear.
  17. Sorry, CAMS L2S is minimum licence for SDMA - Wakie is ASSA and SDMA is CAMS
  18. brrr too cold for me at the moment too
  19. This event is opened to everyone and is being run by SDMA, all types of cars are welcome but have to meet scrutineering guidelines i.e. safe, fire extinguisher (no plastic brackets), safe rubber/wheels (fit within guard, no wheel wobble). Club is very supportive, you can get your CAMS L2S there on the day and a daily club membership is $10 (you can do this three times and if you want to join after that your 3x$10 can be deducted from your membership). If anyone has any questions, please let me know and I will do what I can to help out. If I don't know the answer, I'll find out for you.
  20. Time for me to come out of my hole (well according to Rebecca I was born in the Ice Age) and ask what Rush Hour is? (I thought it was a title of a movie).
  21. We've got the hillclimb track, Wakie is only an hour away and there is always rally. Not bad, although it could be better, keeping in mind that this town mainly supports theatre and arts with little support for motorsport. Bureaucracy makes official motorsport expensive for young people, so its a shame more tax dollars aren't going towards these things to keep it off the street. Our local press doesn't cover much of local motorsport either, so promoting is difficult. I was amazed at how much the Bathurst press get behind their clubs... while I was up there at the beginning of the month it was covered on two TV stations (9&7) and their local magazine. I was on the front and back cover of their newspaper and I didn't even do anything special (just turned up), yet our clubs publicist has sent info/photos to quite a few of our local newspapers and they didn't get a mention (to my knowledge, and I was watching out). Stanhope got rid of the V8's (sadly one of the few promises he did deliver on) and didn't deliver on his empty promise to build the Dragway within 18 months Something to think about at voting time
  22. Reece is soft... he'll pull out And as for CeJay.... put your hand up too, you'll love it.
  23. Its okay, you can double enter c'mon, support the Lines
  24. Thank you for helping out
  25. You might be better checking with the officials in the NSW thread. My thoughts on the matter: Wakefield is AASA (so isn't CAMS) however my understanding is that if you have a Wakefield Licence, that is now considered as AASA Licence as well and is therefore quite okay for Texi - but don't take my word for it, check with Wakie and make sure your licence is AASA and valid for other AASA recognised events and then verify with Texi officials that they accept AASA.
