Okay, I've done some research and found that it isn't a BP sign (although I could have sworn it was the BP green flower symbol) it is in fact a Caltex - They are closed on weekends but do have a 24hour (automated) service using your credit card and pin number. hmm I only remember seeing the BP sign (with pump prices) as I'm turning right. I suggest you check that they are still operating beforehand.

I tried GTR320 and it was taken.

I'm pretty sure there is a BP on the way to the track (well about 200m off the way I think Frink is going). When you get to the T section and normally turn right to go under the railway bridge, turn left instead and there is a BP Depot/pumps about 200m on RHS of road (see image) Probably worth a phone call to see what time they open on weekends if at all.

I was thinking the same thing - get them to reissue a plate (no fees) until they sort their problem out. I would also try to negotiate an extension on your expiry date to compensate for days down. Still put in a formal complaint to the Ombudsman.

You shouldn't need a CAMS licence for this event - a AASA licence can be obtained from Wakefield on the day (12 months around $50) Also (correct me if I'm wrong SAU admins) but as SAU NSW is a CAMS affiliated club (not that you need CAMS for this day) you should be able to fill out the forms and pay SAU and get 12months CAMS on the day, keeping the 28 day stubb at the bottom of the form. The catch may be that there won't be any club admins there on the day who have the authority.

I think 2m x 1m is too small - 3x1 would be better if we want it to show up at shows & things and shouldn't cost much more. Agreed, time to narrow down on design and if we decide to raise more funds, at least we can work out our target and aim for it. I also like the black one, but would like to see what it would look like with blue fonts instead of red (keeping the tail lights red of course) for comparison - I might still go back to red for final decision, but would like a look - an extra colour will add extra to the cost as well, but not excessive.
