  1. You're all a mob of stalkers, tis okay Rock, scary as it seems, they're all harmless... really they are
  2. Just to clarify - Price of rego $650 includes Compulsary Third Party (CTP), but the CTP is for personal injury only (if you're in an accident which causes injury or death to another person in your car or the other car) - this insurance has nothing at all to do with property damage. You would still need 3rd party property cover from your insurance company (this cannot be done through rego). You can transfer the existing rego into your name (using example above) until Jan 09, but you still have to pay transfer, stamp duty (2-3% of sale price) and pass inspections.
  3. The Skyline lover in me wants to tell you to go ahead and do it... the Mum, investor, business person in me has to tell you what I have always said "if you want to get ahead, the best investment (in a car) is driving the cheapest car your ego will allow". You mentioned you would have the 18k in cash, consider investing it and using it for an investment property down the track (while still staying at home) on an interest only loan (rent pays the interest) then by the time your ready for interest + principle your investment will be worth a hell of a lot more than your loan is. If you're talking about taking out a loan for the car... I'd suggest waiting a little while longer, get something you can park at uni without living in fear every day of whether its safe or not. If you do get the car (any car) ask your insurer if they will give you fire, theft and 3rd party rather than just 3rd party. I bought a property last year which is today worth 20% more (in less than 12 months), that equity alone could be used to finance a car plus the deposit on the next investment property (get my drift?). But I'll support your decision either way, after all, I did say "what your ego would allow"
  4. Check with the track, for those who have one, your AASA licence might be okay - I say this because since they have changed hands, the Wakie licence is now AASA (according to their staff), so its worth a phone call to see if your AASA licence is enough. Are open wheelers welcome?
  5. Snooooooze !!! wassup???? you're letting the team down... Funnies got to page two, we count on you to keep it in the forefront
  6. sounds like a good excuse for a Supra vs Skyline challenge
  7. Woohoo 'bout time someone else joined Jeno, Jo and I at the hillclimb... next one is on the 25th May, having a break in June then having a 2 lapper in July. C'mon Donnan, you should come to this one I'm hoping Ben and Alex will be there too.
  8. Cos I went to Gosford and picked up a an engine and spent the day pulling the original one out. Plus I was on call with work, so hard to enter and then have to take off.

  18. Who's for dinner at Eagle Hawk again on Saturday night and catch up with everyone?
  19. They take a few days to publish the results and I'll put them up here when they come through... in the meantime, my best time today was 44.57 Tarmac, Jo & Steady can post up what their PB's were today.
  20. :laughing-smiley-014:
  21. Fastest Time of Day :bunny: they said I made history with the club by being the first lady to ever take out FTD and they said quite possibly made history for Hillclimbs in general Congratulations to Jeno (Tarmac), Jo and Chris (unSteadyEddie) who all achieved PB's today. I'll let everyone know about the next hillclimb in May as we get closer, after that there won't be any hillclimbs in June, but they will make up for it with a 2 lap event in July but will only allow 40 entries. Anyone who joins SDMA between now and July will have their licences through to end June 2009 (bonus months) so it would be great to have you there... if you are a member of SAU, you can get an SDMA day membership for $10 (limit 3 times a year) but can be credited that money if you join (towards membership)
  22. One more sleep Don't forget to come out, have a look and say hi
