  1. Why don't you come out for a look and start getting a feel for it
  2. Yes, you can usually fill out the CAMS form on the day with CAMS affiliated clubs and keep the 30 day tear off (SAU is with CAMS) Shell should be able to confirm if SAU have someone coming from NSW who has the delegation to sign off the CAMS form. If you would prefer to organise in advance, phone CAMS and they can fast-track the process and fax an interim 30 day licence. You should be able to fax your form and receive something back fairly quickly until your real one comes through. Or (just to confuse matter more LOL) you could come along to the SDMA hillclimb and join CAMS this Sunday, on the spot. Best to do before 9am though (while they are still in the office).
  3. This was in there too
  4. Bahahahahahahahahahahaha*snort*hahahahahahahahahahahahaha <-- that wasn't me
  5. Seriously? AASA is up to $90 now? if so, my advice (and I like what AASA stand for) is to go CAMS L2S for no other reason than so you can run other CAMS events... such as... the hillclimb, Oran Park, EC etc I thought AASA was around $50?
  6. I think the more recent Wakefield licences are AASA and might just pass - Does it have AASA on it anywhere?
  7. Check with DIF, but I'm pretty sure you can get your licence on the day.
  8. Spotted a little tiny article about me in Auto Action magazine with the NSW State Hillclimb - I had no idea it was in there, so it was a surprise. I feel famous now PS: They described me as being "aboard a stunning March Formula Holden" which is pretty cool... but thereafter they referred to me as "he" LOL
  9. Its like tasteful porn, just showing enough to make you want to see more... very sexy indeed.
  10. I have to agree, they're not saying much... I guess I'll have to start stirring the pot again, that always gets em going
  11. ring them up, they'll fix it
  12. Questions are gooooood, it means you're interested 1) Depends how bad it is, do you want us to have a look at it and let you know? 2) I should have a open face one here you can try on for size 3) You can join SDMA (and for those who haven't, CAMS as well) on the day, just put that on the form where it says member number, just say "new member, will pay on Sunday" 4) Easiest way to enter is to right click the entry download link, save the file, edit with your details - you are the entrant (owner) and driver so need to fill same details in both sections - in the CAMS licence section I would say you have the 30 day slip but no number yet - pay the $70 into the SDMA bank account listed and copy/paste the receipt details into an email and attach the entry form and send to the email address listed on the form (BEFORE 8pm Wednesday to get the saving). 5) I would call CAMS and ask them to fax a confirmation to you that they have received your application as a backup 6) and last but not least - No special screws required I think you will enjoy this, it doesn't have the wear and tear of circuit racing, but has the time trials fun of trying to beat your previous time. The club is also very supportive. I'll PM my mobile number and if you want to swing by, give me a yell.
  13. "Hoons love Holdens, Mercs are a menace" but no mention of Skylines http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,23567072-2,00.html
  14. yeah but then you'll all step aside and pretend you don't know me and leave me all alone being a blubbering mess LOL Where are we meeting for the dawn service? Brekky at Green Square is a great idea, we used to have a Managers meeting there every week @ 7am and the brekkies & coffee were terrific.
  15. Who's coming to next Sundays hillclimb? Entries close 8am on the day @ $90 or a $20 discount if entry received by 8pm Wednesday 23rd April ($70). Michele Tarmac Ms Tarmac Turismo Donnan ZCR PS. Those who choose to enter on the day do risk not being able to run due to full event. Although this doesn't happen every month, it has happened.
  16. We lost our Uncle in Beersheba (1st Light Horseman) and Dad served in WW2 - I'd love to go, but know I will bawl my eyes out. I get teary just thinking about it... I'm almost a bigger girl than Mick.
  17. What are you doing on the strut?
  18. Yeah Kirstie, your car is HOT HOT HOT, even down to the Qld rego, we're almost twins So tell us more Kirstie, did you move here from Qld or buy the car from up there?
  19. You have a missus called Paul? Thats a bit like "I helped my Uncle Jack off a horse" its all about the grammar LOL
  20. *psstt* Thanks... I'll pay you for saying that later
  21. Wakie are still accepting my Wakie licence, although I think they are AASA now and you can get it there on the day. In saying that, I'm partial to getting L2S for no other reason than it can be used for multiple events i.e. hillclimbs as well as Texikhana, autosports etc etc.
  22. Good luck with the house hunting - have you been looking at www.allhomes.com.au ? Its about the best for ACT. Museum is good for a catch up and if you pick up the hire car from the airport, you should keep an eye out for Mang oh and it can get chilly down here, so bring the woolies if you're not used to it.
  23. Yep that twas moi, Steddy will be jealous now cos thats the second time his car's been spotted and he wasn't driving it
