  2. if we have enough sausage sizzles we might be able to build a track closer to home
  3. hiya we usually get together around 9:30-10pm, although I have visitors down for the weekend and can't get away tomorrow night. Who's coming to Wakefield on Sunday? I think Mick should take his car down and show us that its not just a show pony
  4. Keith at KB Engineering (Penrith) will custom build one for you. Great value for money and will build to suit your situation, you tell him how you want it to be and he can build it. He built a brass button clutch for my GTR and her launches are awesome now. I can't find his number right now, but if you can't find him, PM me and I'll find his details for you.
  5. Does that mean I have to get the pocket knife out and draw pretty patterns on the tyres? Edit: I was being blind, I thought it said R's or Semi's - when its R Semi's.
  6. oh hang on, the open says it has to be R compound, do mine count?
  7. Help me!!! is there a class that my car will qualify for? Its from a major manufacturer (its a March), its mid mount, engine is stock. Can I come? purty please? Oh bugger! I'm pretty sure my tyres are R compound
  8. He didn't end up using the sign. I think there is a place to the left of pit entry that might work, after start/finish line would be too late, you're too focussed on keeping the speed and line through the kink and braking for turn 1.
  9. Yes, might be a good idea to start a waitlist should anyone pull out.
  10. Well it wasn't telling lies - for those of us here who are most likely to attend, we haven't been allowed on pit wall
  11. I just spent Saturday there again with the Autosports track day and we all received the same lecture as we did at the Speed Off the Street day, no-one, including spectators, drivers, pit crew etc are allowed near the pit wall. I had a pit crew member with a pit sign and they wouldn't allow him on the wall to hold the sign out for me to come in - They have painted a thick white line on the shed side of pit lane and noone is allowed to cross it... with one exception, you can set up your lap timing beacon near the wall and immediately leave. To quote them "new owners, new rules". Surely they won't do that for the really big races, pit crew would have to be able to hold their signs up, wouldn't they?
  12. yeah... how different can it be to Fyshwick on a wet night?
  13. I bet you felt like giving her a huge bear hug when you found her again Congrats, I'm really happy you got her back again.
  14. Its okay, you can still call it a cockpit with a lady driver, alternatively you could call it the box office Actually, it was funnier watching him try to get out - by the time you're strapped in there, it can get quite claustrophobic until you get on the track, then you don't think about it.
  15. I'm struggling with the gears, but it handles like a dream
  16. It went great, its a whole lotta fun to drive its me that has to learn how to trust it with braking and cornering faster. I did have some overheating problems and had to pack up early but I had FTOD for a while which was exciting but then got pipped at the end. Ben - practice heal toe around town, and don't let the name trick you, in reality its toe heal or toe side of foot.
  17. I forget how low my car is... but was quickly reminded with this photo
  18. aww thank you, it was lovely to see my name at Position 1 today, however I was pipped right at the end and think I ended up in 2nd Position. Next time... they wanna lookout cos I'll know how to drive my car by then (i hope LOL).
  19. Actually, your car looked much smaller after all those bits fell off
  20. woohoo it will be good to catch up with you again
  21. Jax Quickfit did the GTST and it worked a treat, paints fine and it allowed me the wider tyres to fit legally within the guards now. I didn't have a choice, I had a race the next day and wouldn't have passed scrutineering with my new tyres. Race or not race?? Easy choice and it was a success.
