  1. They're not bad, but I do love the classic 32's. I don't have the same passion for the 34's, perhaps I need to drive one first... a REAL 34 that is
  2. hmmm then that would be another good test to do... with an immobiliser which activates when you press you remote as they get to the boom gate (camera). I'd loooooove to set up a sting, that would be the bestest... but know the laws aren't there to protect us, only the guilty.
  3. I may be wrong, but I think FIGJAM was trying to profile the b@stards oops I mean thieves. Helps with working out what to use for bait
  4. Hi Zac, I noticed you said your family... does that include you? Or only when you visit? Either way, when you are down here, try to catch up with us, we're a pretty good bunch... well I'm undesireable, but the rest a pretty cool... well with the exception of Frangipani Boi but more about him on Friday Nights at the Museum. Firstly you have to meet up with us one Friday night in the carpark of the Museum (see the Friday Night at the Museum thread for more info). I can't tell you what Red Roosters like down here cos its been so long since I've been there I can't remember (old age )
  5. I should also mention, that I had promised Dereck from Fifth Gear Motorsports first dibbs on the 4dr GTST. But can't get him on the phone to let him know I've decided to sell it.
  6. This worked well before Marques, should we do it again? When? Same place? (Donnan?) Will the mighty Mick pike on us yet again and prove to be all talk and no action? oops did I say that out loud?
  7. I wouldn't part with it unless I thought I could get something better, but perhaps I am being too hasty and should think about this harder. Thanks for knocking some sense into me
  8. Have you spoken to ISK about availability yet?
  9. Its pretty stock, very good condition, imported June 2007 - It has 68,540 kays on it now. Mechanics said they believe they are original kays but like the rest of us, I can't always be certain. Has Tien coilovers and a basic boost controller, not much more that I can think of. It has a custom built clutch from KB Engineering Penrith. I have to be honest, I'm having second thoughts now I look at these photos again and hear what the guys who know my car are saying. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c29/Spri...24-8-07118w.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c29/Spri...24-8-07117w.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c29/Spri...24-8-07116w.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c29/Spri...24-8-07115w.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c29/Spri...24-8-07113w.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c29/Spri...24-8-07112w.jpg http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c29/Spri...24-8-07111w.jpg
  10. Just used the car ramps in the driveway here and ran the truck up the mounds at Wakie and drove it straight on and off.
  11. Can you guys help me with what price you think I should put the GTST on the market for? Or should I just Ebay it and see.
  12. Awww guys, you're making it hard for me. I thought this V Spec II looked clean, but I've only seen photos so far, so maybe you're right, maybe they aren't that easy to find them this clean. Actually, I forgot how hard it was to find this one in such good condition. I'll send you both the link to the one I was looking at via PM and you can PM me back what you think
  13. That is soooo clever... wish I could do that *jealous look*
  14. LOL I knew you'd like that!!
  15. There isn't an emoticon here with a grin big enough to show you how much fun it was. I'm putting a new clutch in tomorrow and should have it ready by the hillclimb on Sunday. I'm planning on taking it easy cos I don't know what the new clutch will be like and how the clearance will go, and am still getting used to the car and gears. But hopefully it will be running on Sunday if anyone wants to take a look at it on the track.
  16. Yes, you heard right, no silly offers on the GTR please, you know how special she is. My only reason for selling is that I'm thinking about a V-Spec II in same year/model/colour everything.
  17. I'm about 40mm from the ground and it feels great. You lay in it rather than sit which is a bit weird at first but you don't think about it once your on the track. I was expecting it to be much rougher, but it was surprisingly smooth. I was also warned about strengthening my neck muscles for the G forces, but didn't notice it yesterday at all... this morning is another matter... I now have very sore muscles in my neck. Sounds like I have to research how to strengthen these muscles. I'll be counting the sleeps for the next track day.
  18. Well today was my first drive of the Formula Holden... and WOW, what a car to drive, I've never driven anything like it before and I loved it. I had wonderful support and mentors with me and I was nervous about this first drive, but I needn't have, it felt fabulous to drive. As most of you are aware, it was raining on and off today and I only had slicks, but didn't stop me from having a whole lot of fun. I think my best time was 1:11.7 but know I can improve this as I was taking it pretty easy today.
  19. 33Sedan - Latest HPI mag has a good little write up which you might find interesting. Besides being a Skyine special edition, it has some interesting points on speedo tampering.
  20. Its simple, fun and lotsa Skylines, still need your CAMS or AASA licence - if you go CAMS you don't need L2S, just L2, but for the price difference, the L2S is better value and gets you into the Hillclimbs tooooooo. Its at Sutton Road (driver training area and skid pan), has a bit of skid pan and might use the back track, although they should be able to get the bike training area this time (I suspect). There is a bit in the NSW forums about them - If you have any questions, let me know and I'll find out.
  21. Updated SAU Texikhana moved forward from 11 May to 4 May.
  22. I take my new car out for her first run today and I'm so excited I can't sleep my alarm is set to get up in about 4 hours and here I am... bright eyed and bushy tailed *sigh*
  23. I've been getting a few of those of late, here's me waving and grinning like a right w@nker (shup Mick) and they stick their nose in the air.
