    Wakefield Park

Email from Wakie... Wakefield Park Open Again Wakefield Park has re-opened after undergoing major works in the resurfacing of the circuit. This now gives Wakefield the satisfaction of having the freshest racing surface in the country. The initial feedback from competitors is that the new surface is smoother and faster than the previous one. Wakefield Park will be open for Speed of the Streets on the following days: Friday 1st Feb Tuesday 5th Thursday 7th Feb Thursday 14th Feb Monday 18th Tuesday 19th Thursday 21st Feb Friday 22nd Feb (BIKES ONLY) Monday 25th Feb Thursday 28th Feb In the first weekend of March, Wakefield Park will host the first round of the new look Australian Motor Racing Championship. With a number of new classes mixed in with the usual crowd favourites, this event looks set to be very exciting. April 4th, 5th and 6th, Wakefield Park will host a round of the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Development Series. This event is unique as it is the only race meeting where the Development Series cars are the feature category. Support categories will be Aussie Racing Cars, Carrera Cup, Formula Ford and the new Mini Series. For any further enquiries call the Wakefield Park Office on (02) 4822 2811.
  8. Thanks for thinking of us... I'm going to watch closely and go with the majority (if) I can get time off work. Sounds great
  9. Am I allowed to take "you know what" to the Supra vs Skyline day?
  10. shhhh it makes me feel like a better driver
  11. Nah its nice to see what a Supra looks like when its not in our rear view mirror :laughing-smiley-014:
  12. I just noticed, thats a great logo you have for ACT Supra Club
  13. Welcome Thats excellent Niko I think we can make a fun day out of this. How do your members feel if its a few more dollars but less cars i.e. more time on the track?
  14. Its not about what I "don't know" as I wasn't really bothered about the 'power' or how I looked when compared to a Supra - I was more talking about the fun in meet and greet, especially if we're planning a track day down the track. I would rather invite others than not go ahead at all because we cannot get the required 10.
  15. Yes, its pretty full on though, they seem to have too many cars there (60 I think) I'd be all for only having 35 cars and having to pay extra, but is that with timing?
  16. I think if we're worried about numbers, that we take whatever we can get to make sure it goes ahead. I say welcome the Supras and bring more fun and competition into the whole Supra vs Skyline day
  17. friends vs US hmm lemme think.... cya there Shell
  18. blue 33 near Goulburn this afternoon around 3:30pm (ish) with ACT plates I gave the and received a What happened to the front? *ouch*
  19. I'm trying to think about what track days are on so we don't clash with them. Add to the list if anyone is aware of any other track days on a Saturday (many are on Sundays) Autosports track day - Wakefield Park on Saturday March 15th SAU NSW are talking a Wakie track day on a Saturday late in Feb.
  20. phew
  21. I suppose we can expect to see a new member here soon Congratulations on the sale.
  22. Yeah, I'm worried about the transition onto the track down here, I imagine it would be much the same at King Edward Park too where you go up through the garden and back onto the track. If you see me looking for material to line the bottom of my car... you'll know what happened LOL
  23. Nothing with it, well, not if you don't count the wets he threw in which were perished anyway. Erol Richardson has been wonderful and is helping me set it up. He's helping me get set up with an AIM data dash/logger, seat, pedal position etc. I don't think I would have attempted it without his help. Is there a supersprint category for these things? Track days sound great, can't wait to get this girl up to OP and EC The person I bought it off never transferred the log book, so I'm going through all that at the moment too, stat decs, forms, photos, JP's sheesh, you know what CAMS red tape is like. I understand this car used to belong to Tony Stephens (Darlington Park Raceway) although he didn't have a log book for it either according to CAMS and the log book number stamped on the car. If you're doing the state rounds, you're going to be here too, so look me up, there's always a bunk for friends here if you need it.
  24. I don't know the output, but they tell me I will know as soon as I install the AIM Data Dash, they say its better than a Dyno for getting those sorts of results.
