  1. What colour was the XR6? Saw an undercover on Friday in a silver, late model Magna, had a car pulled over on Lanyon Dr Qbn
  2. oh WOW i've been spotted
  3. We may choose two sites, one which involves other people such as Museum etc and one we can do without needing to involve others too deeply... such as a carpark or lake edge that we can do at leisure if we feel we need more when the first shoot is over.
  4. Lets vote on our first site (it won't be our last). 1) National Museum 2) Tunnel near Questacon (is this called Reconciliation Place?) 3) Under Commonwealth Ave bridge 4) Top Westfield Woden carpark with Sky Plaza in background 5) War Memorial 6) Other I can offer to help out with some of those favours you may have to deliver on... umm would knee guards help you?
  5. Prolly me if it was parked in front of the Club - We went to play pitch'n'putt today.
  6. Hey thanks... this sounds great! Find out what you can and let us know if its okay to go ahead - the museum shots looked fantastic. We need to start thinking about when, if we need extra lighting etc then a weekend may be better to give us time, but this may not suit the Museum, War Memorial, cameraman etc so lets start with them and try to work around that.
  7. aww slippery edit... how did you do that without the blah blah edited this message on time date blah blah message that I get everytime I fix a typo?? edit by stealth eh!! Wheres that cool tail light pic?? Withholding on us huh!!! Who was it that took that photo?
  8. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v218/Pho...es%20-%20Rides/ Water would be good, we need something that will hold a thin layer of water, great for reflection.
  9. That b@st@rd who keeps winning my events while driving my car wants to know... ... if anyone can find these props for the photo shoot? He said if we find these props, we won't even worry about taking the cars, we'll just take the photos instead. Hmmm maybe he can drive one of them in the next race... I'm sure he'll get fastest time of the day
  10. Looks like I will be better than a maybe, count me in.
  11. Whats the War Memorial like at night? Might be worth having a look at some of these as part of the Friday cruise. Who has a generator?
  12. You got that right!!
  13. You missed my point... the incident that you are referring to as the "first incident" was actually the second incident, there was an incident prior to this which damaged the rear quarter of Ambrose's car (our drivers side, US pax side). Although the first incident isn't seen in the film clip, the damage is visible and has been discussed on the news etc. Also, with the second incident where Ambrose hit Gordon... Gordon had passed Ambrose on a yellow flag. It must be noted, that the NASCAR officials did not dispute Ambrose's actions, yet fined Gordon $35,000 and placed him on probation through the end of the year for his misconduct. I guess they saw more than we did. If Gordon was an innocent victim... why is he so damn sorry?
  14. Ambrose wasn't black flagged, Gordon was - I'll confidently say that the NASCAR judges are better informed than I/we are and called it for what it was... that would equate to Ambrose still being in the race and Gordon being disqualified. Dayton Daily News Driver gets apology and a compliment from Robby Gordon Thursday, August 09, 2007 CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Marcos Ambrose was cheated out of a chance to win his first NASCAR race by Robby Gordon. His disappointment was lifted, though, when he was given an opportunity to race the first Nextel Cup event of his career. His benefactor? None other than Gordon himself. Feeling guilty because he intentionally wrecked Ambrose in the closing laps of the Busch Series race in Montreal, Gordon offered Ambrose a car to race this weekend on the road course at Watkins Glen, N.Y. He got the idea from a fan, who suggested it would be a peace offering to the Australian driver. "We were all bitterly disappointed after last week, and I'm sure if Robby could have wound the clock back, he would have done things differently," Ambrose said Wednesday as he and Gordon detailed their partnership. "It's part apology and part compliment as far as I'm concerned." Ambrose and Gordon were racing for the lead with four laps to go in Saturday's race when a multi-car accident brought out a caution. Both drivers said they weren't sure who was ahead when the yellow flag was displayed. All they are certain of is that at some point, Gordon passed Ambrose for the lead. Seconds later, Ambrose spun Gordon. By the time Gordon righted his car, NASCAR scored him in 13th place. Gordon argued he should have been no lower than second, and he stayed in second on the restart, earning a disqualification. Still, with two laps to go, he spun Ambrose, took the lead and crossed the finish line in first, denying Ambrose a sure win.
  15. They were saying that Ambrose had a damaged rear from receivng a shunt from Gordon before that incident
  16. I just had a response from Mark (hubby) who said "forget the bubbles, we want girls with big t!ts and tiny shorts"
  17. I saw my car parked under a light in the fog last week and it looked fantastic (I'm the first to admit I've got it bad) and I didn't have a camera with me But it did get me thinking... lets find some great spots, backgrounds, etc for some night time photos. It will fun and we should get some awesome pics. I've still got fog machine, bubble machine (if it still works), par 64's, gels... does someone have a small generator? I also have projectors we could use to throw a logo, picture, film clip on to a background wall. A fair bit of setting up, but with enough of us to kick in, it shouldn't be too bad. Any suggestions?
  18. How does someone who is black flagged get to shunt the leader off the track??? Go figure!!! Crazy 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh2uKorg2Es Crazy 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffGjJ0gNJs8 Crazy 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ac8k-4wjwuw
  19. Geeez Jon... you could have been a good sport and told the guys about this before the night, it looks like you'll have to bring her along to the video/pool comp night at my place now to give 'em a second chance LOL
  20. Prank call the telemarketer... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5z4Vs26-TI I usually just tell them that "now isn't a good time for me" and ask them for their home number so I can call them backat a time thats convenient... and when they say "I can't give you my home number, thats private" to which I respond with "WELL THEN WTF MAKES YOU THINK MINE ISN'T????" They don't like that much
  21. Payment made for both brake and clutch delivered. Thanks for following up and organising this Adam, its not easy to co-ordinate these things.
  22. Ive never tried it before, but would love to give it a try. I've nowhere to practice so will have to learn on the fly, until now I've only used my handbrake for hill starts and parking, so its going to feel strange. Someone will have to show me how its done. Oh and how do you remember that course pattern and concentrate on driving as well?
  23. What a good bass sound can do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5LWI-fd7Rg
  24. I have a couple of big screens i.e. 8 & 12 foot screens & projectors we could use if we have a movie night (after 25+ years of DJ'ing we eventually retired from it, but still have all the equipment).
