  1. I suppose numbers would be more useful. Different drivers will describe feelings differently. I have now been forced to go the single turbo rout. Going for the precision. So numbers would be great.
  2. Found the Efr maps right next to where you said the precision ones where.
  3. In WA, a few years back there was this massive cleansing of all things modified. We had a number of dodgy "tuners" and so there were lots of questionable cars. Plus there was the fast and the furious factor. So police picked on anything that had a loud exhaust. My problem is I live in the hills. There are lots of long straight back roads and lots of twisty ones to. People come up constantly test there cars. So police stop fast cars regularly. I'll get mine engineered and pitted. As for driving, I make no guarantees.
  4. I own an f6 sedan. It is completely stock. Even has a baby seat. I still get pulled for a random check. Must be the area. Can't wait to put the baby seat in a 700hp+ GTR.
  5. I suppose I should mention that my budget has changed slightly and with it, my goals. Chasing closer to 700hp on e85 and still 600 on 98. But have decided to go for a single. I'm getting hassled in my F6 and that's stock.
  6. What's does your fuel system consist of, if it's not a secret?
  7. A bar??? I reckon it's closer to 20 bar
  8. I think it's an outright RB record. I think in the end, if it puts a smile on your face that even a divorce can't wipe, it was the right choice.
  9. Fair call sneaky pete. I seem to be offending people for choosing a precision turbo. People here are asking for comparisons to other turbos, I'm more then happy to provide one. You ask me why I didn't choose the 8374, I explained. I said that this was my opinion only. If this is an "all hail Efr thread" not a problem. I'm sure the product deserves the praise it gets. I was just offering a comparison that people are asking for.
  10. Not the current version of them.
  11. People keep asking for comparisons to other turbos. Precision turbos are the main competition to Borgwarner. The turbo I'm choosing is one that people look at when they look at the 8374. I'm in no way trashing the 8374. It seems like a great product. But it is brand new and hasn't had time to be proven yet. Looking at threads overseas, if the turbine wheel is damaged you will up for a new turbo. There are reports of these turbos leaking. Despite great dyno results, most of the drag records right now are being set with precision turbos. Dyno is a tuning tool. MPH, I believe is the true measure of power. I simply chose a turbo which has been tried and tested. The new turbos are air cooled so no leaks, ever. Parts are easy to get and units are easy to repair. This only my opinion and in time I may very well be proven wrong. As I said before, great thread.
  12. My r32 is about to get a rebuild. Will be going the precision rout. Either 6266 or 6466. More likely the later. Either way, will post results in the future for some comparisons. Chasing 500awkw+. Awesome thread. Cheers gents.
  13. I keep getting told around 260/10.5. My head will get the machining required to make sure everything fits and moves properly.
  14. Very old rusted out shed with more holes then she'd.
  15. I must point out that Smurfette was a name given to her by my wife.
  16. Photos as promised. She is looking rather sad after almost 4 years of storage. Found an old dynograph. Good news is oil is still see through and no water in it. Boost gauge will need an upgrade, only goes to 20psi.
  17. I agree. I've always been told the MPH don't lie.
  18. Cheers. Seems like the 6466 might be the way to go.
  19. There will be plenty of them. I promise.
  20. Probably. That's why I put (big ask) in the initial post.
  21. I am looking into brakes. There are some good upgrades available but the time aim getting close to a minute lap time, I re Kon it will be time for digger callipers and wheels. Good call
  22. Project Smurfette GTR build Well it's a big moment in a life of a boy. Deposit paid and date booked in. My R32 is finally going to get a proper build. After reading many threads and posting a couple my self, the plane is just about set. the engine will stay a 2.6L but the compression will go up to 9:1 (to help low end but still allowing me to run 98ron as a daily driver) Mahle rods (it's amazing how many rods are made in China and re-stamped as something else) wiseco psitons (come with a nice anti friction coating) Cams will stay around 260/10.8mm mark (depending on the final choice of turbo) will go to a single precision cea gen 2 turbo either the 6266 or the 6466 (still researching dyno graphs. Would love to have a streetable 700hp) after doing as much ready on the borgwarner turbos as I could find, I decided not to go that rout. It is indeed a top end product but the titanium technology is not yet proven and if these turbos cost a fortune to repair. Plus there are more and more threads about both water and oil versions leaking. With precision being air cooled, that's not an issue. As for Garrett, well they are just not quite there yet with their technology. I want to stress that this is only my opinion and I am sure it will differ from person to person. walbro pump 1300cc injectors oil and all the supporting little bits and pieces and machinery included. car already has a twin plate clutch, adjustable cam gears, power fc d-jetro, trust drag intercooler, super stiff coilovers all around, bolt in rollcage. Currently a kitty has been started for an R34 6 speed box conversion. Hopefully I can through that in as the car is being finished of. currently the car runs a light blue paint which is identical to a Smurf. Hence Smurfette. All the spoilers will be removed and paint smoothed out and fixed up. I already have a set of very light weight 17/10 wheels but might see if a I can the graphite colour redone on them. Power Goal is to have around 700awhp on E85 and 600awhp on 98ron. Driving goals are to run high 9 at the drags and see how close I can get to a 1 minute lap of the barbagallo long circuit (big ask). all criticism and suggestions welcome. will post pics over the weekend.
  23. Cool. Cheers
  24. So what would be your recommendation for cams. For the type of setup discussed in this thread. 2.6l, e85, 750-800hp turbo. Going for 500kw at all fours?
  25. Wow cheers guys. I'll give them both a shot.
