If its your car theres nothing illegal about calling the towies to come and tow it back to your mechanics to get it fixed up. I hate car theif's with a passion. We scouted last night, we decided the route we were taking was poor road quality - it was a fun drive with lots of twisties and plenty of fun but too many bumps, johno's car scraped many times and karen complained of the bumps too much Were still going to do mt tambourine, however theres several routes up there and were going to pick a different one and rescout it in a few weeks. We also got lost in surburban mt tambourine at one stage! Dodgy internet maps...... lilmike - what type of car are u bringing along as your consort?

As steph pointed out it doesnt work again. Its blowing fuses. If it works then it wont stop working. but every time you start the car is a throw of the dice.... Can someone recomend a place that WONT try to pull my pants down? thanks Ian

Done and done, the groups will be worked out on the night, I was only really planning to have 3 or 4 ahead of me with the main body of the group behind me. If everyone says there in the faster group, well, it will defeat the point. I will be going at about the same pace that i was going last time.

Some of you people may think that they do their job, and maybe its just a lack of manpower, (they seem to have plenty of police to man speed cameras and point radar guns) but ive had two occasions in my life where ive needed police help to defuse a potentially deadly situation and they have failed to show up both times despite telling me they would. IMHO there a impotent and lazy orginization with its priorities all messed up. Others are free to disaggree, and their experciances may have been good, but mine have not. Half the time, dealing with the police is worse then dealing with the criminals.

Hi all So my aircon broke recently right... I had it regassed and a VQ35 conversion done on it. A few days later, no workies. Anyway, I took it back and they told me it had no gas in it anymore so it must have a leak. Okay I thought, ill come back when I have time. They were a 35 min drive away so I cbf going back. So I take it to Mr Cool in milton. They tell me my compressors seized and something else is f**ked. 1.2 grand to fix. I think bugger that, id rather coilovers. I take it to another mob in milton, they bring in an auto sparky to look at it and he says its electrical but he doesnt know whats causing the problem. They say they wont touch it because its the third diagnosis and its an import. so I get a new AWD controller installed and the clock stops working for some strange reason. Happens alot, apparently. I decide to go through my fusebox and find not a 10A fuse broken like I expected to find, it being a problem with the clock, but a 20A blown. I replaced said fuse tonight. Still no clock, but the aircon works again. So not only did I miss the obvious, so did 3 other qualified mechanical / auto electrician workshops. can you say omfg? Im just happy aircon works now.....

What other clubs will be comming? 23rd hmmm.... I think I will be away on holidays, getting back that day unfortunatly. Sorry, count me out on this one.

Here it is, the mountain run for January. We Rescouted yesterday and a suitable route was picked out. I had quite a blast up there so it should be good for friday night. Dinner will be at the Lone Star near Springwood crazy clarks. There will have to be several group leaders I think as the route is quite complex and not a whole lot of places to stop off. Where: Mt Tambourine and Surfers Paradise When: 12/01/07 Exact Timings: Northside Meetup - 6:30 at Bunnings on stafford road, same place as last time - leave 7:00 SHARP - if you miss it head to the southside meetup Southside Meetup - 7:00, enter lone star at 7:15 Depart springwood Lone Star at aprox 9:00 - head up highway to Mt Tamborine & Hope Island exit, arrive at bottom of mountain at aprox 9:30 - 9:45 Come off mountain at aprox 11:30, Finish up in surfers at around 12. Head back down the highway then to bed/whatever. Cost/What to bring: FULL fuel tank, money for dinner. CB radios if we get that organized, I have a small one, will pick a channel on the night.
